ever wonder what the hardee’s star would look like with feet? no? well here it is anyway
This reminds me if my first few sewing projects, where I tried to make a cactus out of felt and wondered why I was left with a malformed lump. It took me about 5 plushes of various lumpyness before I learned why strech matters in fabric. It was a similar process learning embroidery and especially satin stitches (my nemisis from the start). Needlework is truly an artform fucking up to success -w-
Truly I hate to do this to you all but; you can watch all the videos and read all the blogs in the world but you cannot learn to sew without at some point picking up a piece of fabric and fucking it up. No tutorial exists that will stop you at some point ruining this poor piece of cloth. The visceral act of holding a project and wondering where you went wrong is the only way to learn sewing; you cannot escape it. I’m sorry

reveal of my gordon hlvrai costume project, now that about half of it is done! this is cardstock and glue and tape and more glue and paint and velcro. and 2 gloves (one hand-sewn)
i got started sometime in early-mid fall, but i committed to making it work with cardstock in january- it was originally meant to be a sizing test before construction with eva foam over the summer. then i realized how expensive thatd be, too much pressure for a form of craft ive never practiced. im pretty amazed with how its come together, even with the large seams! during that whole time when it was unpainted (started painting two weeks ago) there was no way to tell

I love Porygon2 and Porygon-Z, and I wanted to know what they would look like fused together, so I fused them and these guys where the result! There's something about them that looks so friendly. I'd trust these lil guys with my life I think (Ver. without background under the cut)
