After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

So within two days of each other, Fox News writes an article comparing aromanticism and asexuality to pedophilia, and then Matt Walsh releases a video saying asexuality is a mental illness and asexuals are tricking teenagers into having depression.

Not sure what’s going on right now over in Conservative World, but it’s a hell of wild U-turn for them to suddenly switch from “Oh no! The left is sexualizing our children!” to “Oh no! The left is asexualizing our children!”

- Coil's gear modifications makes them very risky to use 24/7. You know how Rocket's prosthetic, according to his Spawnday QnA, doesn't allow him to swim with it on because "the water might freeze"? Yeah. Imagine that but with Coil's blood. He knows how cold his gear is with the crystals' modifications (Medkit's crystals, as implied with the interaction between them), so he takes them off when he believes he's safe.

- (elaboration for the one on top) The whole "gear modification with Medkit's crystals making it colder" can also be observed in Coil's Fusion form. If you cast it, you can see that one of his horns gets covered in ice, also covering part of his face as well. Grabbing and slamming an enemy also spawns ice around them, too. Cool details

- Newborn demons are called newspawns. I dunno it's cute hahhdfb

i think coil's entire setup is the equivalent of "using the wrong formula but still getting the right answer" and he is just testing god at this point

I uh… honestly I don’t even know it just kinda happens low-key?

I jump back and forth a LOT. I’ll do some sketching, some shading, more sketching, base colour, more shading, more sketching, more base colour, colouring, sketch cleaning (I don’t usually do lineart, it’s just sketch), and then THREE MILLION SCREEN OVERLAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like to add ai disturbance, maybe light leak, maybe computer fuzz, maybe paper, there’s a lot of options and usually I use a bunch. My newest piece has TV static and I think it looks super neat! I also occasionally use screen tones (the dots n stuff)

When the pose is really tricky I use a website called just sketch me to figure out what the hell is happening, but usually I actually just bs it. Like sometimes I don’t even start with the torso and do the boxes out. I’m looking back at the speed paint for the Vinestaff scythe piece and I just drew crap completely out of order whenever I felt like it. Took a HELL of a lot of liquify tool, tho.

I use ibisPaint which gives me things like screen tones and the liquify tool, seriously the liquify tool is a LIFE SAVER.

Also make sure to regularly flip the canvas!!!!!!!!!! I underestimated it and then I did it and was like “….what the shit”

a lot of it is just stuff that I’ve picked up over time, i think what gives the Scythe and Vinestaff piece so much charm is the glowing. I love glowing. It’s so great. Slap a dark colour layer in a folder, add another layer with a neon/light colour and just go crazy on it. Then set the folder to multiply or whatever, play with the opacity. I do a LOT of glowing it’s my favourite thing to draw. A lot of trial and error to figure out how the fuck light works but it’s so fun once you get the hang of it

idk if you know but anything over 20 tags on a post those tags don’t work, so when you talk I the tags before you but your fandom tags there’s a risk they won’t show up in the tag (like sciset tag on your most recent art won’t show up in the sciset search because it’s after 20 tags)
