My Nice Guy Experience (Storytime)

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting something like this and I hope you like it, let me just say that the names I use will NOT be the nice guy’s name, due to them still being on the amino, I will also not give out which amino(s) he connected me with so there won’t be drama.

I met this dude on amino before I started dating my girlfriend, so mid or late May. He private messaged be a odd emoticon and then said “Hey” or something like that. I was talking to my brother @edgyoliver when I got the pm so I showed him, he told me not to reply, but being the idiot I was I replied. We had small talk and that was it. In June, I left that chat since I didn’t talk on there and that was it. Only for that amino. I was in a staff for its side amino (a backup amino I guess) and that dude message me on there (I’ll call him Blop). Blop said hey and asked if I had an older sister that goes by [insert her username] (don’t wanna give it out), I said yes and we talked more. Then he said something about rainbows so I said, “Lmao gay, you like rainbows” and he went mental on me. I don’t remember exactly what Blop said but it went like, “WTF WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?!?! I’M NOT GAY YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE SLUT GO KILL YOURSELF AND BURN IN HELL!!!!” Obviously I was scared and terrified, but Blop said sorry so I forgave him. Now to October, I was watching a movie with my friends and girlfriend (this is important trust me) and it was the first Hotel Transylvania. I got a message from Blop after months of not talking asking me to draw for him (for free). At that time and now I would only coin commissions but I thought he was cool so I said I could. He wanted a full animation meme, the “I Like Me Better When I’m With You” with my fursona Star and his fursona, and a full colored+edited lines+shading ref of his fursona. But here’s the thing, he asked for a clothed version and a non clothed version, WITH the dingdong, Blop even told me how long he wanted it to be and what color. My girlfriend saw and she told me, “Love, I think you shouldn’t talk to them anymore” but I told her, “he’s just acts weird”.

I accepted the request, told him I’m watching Hotel Transylvania so it might take awhile. He said it was a great movie and that Dracula’s daughter reminded him of me. Thought it was weird but shrugged it off. 2 days later I get a pm, this is what I remember the chat as:

Blop: Hey

Me: Hi

Blop: So I have to tell you something important

Me: Oki

Blop: You’re Dracula’s daughter...and I’m the human...others may see us as two different beings that will never love each other but we can prove them wrong

Me: Come again?

Blop: I love you

Blop: Will you go out with me?

Me: I’m sorry Blop, but I’m a lesbian

Me: And I have a girlfriend

Blop: So now you become a lesbian JUST as you led me on!! JUST AS I TELL YOU?!

Me: Excuse me? Do you need to sit down?

Blop: SO YOU DATE OLIVER (he’s talking about my brother friend btw) BUT NOT ME?!?! YOU ARE JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER USELESS SLUTS HERE, LEAD A MAN ON BUT FUCKING DESTROY THEIR DREAMS AND MOVE ON LIKE ITS NOTHING

Me: Wtf?

Blop: DONT WTF ME!!!! I SWEAR WHEN I FIND OUT THERE YOU LIVE I WILL COME INTO YOUR ROOM AT NIGHT, RAPE YOU, THEN CUT YOU UP IN LITTLE PIECES THROWING THEM INTO THE TRASH WHERE YOU BELONG

Me: *leaves chat*

Blop is still spamming me with chat invites saying sorry and asking if I will still date him. Once he even messaged my girlfriend saying that we need to break up or he’ll kill himself. If I’m able to I will add pictures of that chat later on. Anyways, watch out for The Nice Guys

Art Tip #1 - Color Theory: A Crash Course

Art isn't complete without colors, right? Unless you'd consider a blank white sheet of paper as art, then by all means...

In today's first stop at the Art Terminal, we will be learning how to use colors using Color Theory! Being knowledgeable about basic color theory can really help you develop your skills as an artist no matter what medium you'll be using - be it traditional art, digital art, or even a mix of both! It may seem confusing at first but with this guide, you'll be making well-coordinated compositions with flying colors in no time!

PART 1: How to use the Color Wheel

This infamous wheel by Isaac Newton helps you see the relationships between the colors.

Keep in mind these 3 categories:

⓵ Primary Colors: Red┃Blue┃Yellow These are the first three basic colors - all other colors can be created by mixing them in different ways. Tip: mixing all three creates the color brown! ⓶ Secondary Colors: Purple (red+blue)┃Green (blue+yellow)┃Orange (yellow+red) If you've noticed, these colors are created by mixing our primary colors. ⓷ Tertiary Colors: Red-Orange┃Red-Purple┃Blue-Purple┃Blue-Green┃Yellow-Green┃Yellow-Orange As you might have guessed, we get these colors by mixing our primary and secondary colors.

Part 2: What are the Color Properties?

Keep in mind Color has 3 primary properties:

⓵ Hue: the colors in their purest state - or in other words, a color's name.

⓶ Saturation: the brightness or dullness of a color - the intensity or purity of a hue. Tip: High Saturation/Saturated = color looks very bright ┃ Low Saturation/Desaturation = color looks washed out or greyed out

⓷ Value: the degree of lightness or darkness of a hue. Tip: There are 3 ways to change a color's value: Shade┃Tint ┃Tone

Shade/Shading: a shade is a color that is produced by adding black.

Tint: a tint is a color that is produced by adding white.

Tone: a tone is a color that is produced by adding grey.

PART 3: What is Color Harmony?┃What Color Combinations or Schemes can we use?

Go back to the Color Wheel as it is a good reference in helping you create appealing schemes. Here are 6 common combinations you can apply in your work:

⓵ Analogous: uses colors (around 2-4) that are next to each other in the color wheel - Match them!

⓶ Complementary: uses colors that are opposite or across of each other on the color wheel - if you can't match 'em, clash 'em with their opposites! Tip: matching these colors creates great contrast and visual interest so they can overpower each other sometimes so keep that in mind.

⓷ Split-Complementary: 1 base color then 2 colors adjacent to its complementary color - if the contrast too much, split them!

⓸ Tetradic: uses 2 complementary pairs. This forms a rectangle on the wheel - if you need more variations go double complementary!

⓹ Triadic: 3 colors that are evenly spaced out in the color wheel. You're free to choose from a variety!

⓺ Monochromatic: uses different tones, shades, and tints of a singular color. Sometimes it just works!

PART 4: What is Color Temperature?

Ever wonder why some compositions feel cold or hot? It is a fact that color has the ability to evoke feelings or emotions. As such, color temperature is the one responsible for this - it is the "warmth" or "coolness" of a color.

Warm colors: Reds┃Oranges┃Yellows Generally seen as colors that are bright, cheerful, active, or happy

Cool Colors: Purples┃Blues┃Greens Generally seen as colors that are dark, mysterious, melancholic, or gloomy
