I see your "Kaveh gets hurt and Alhaitham is forced to face his feelings and confesses before it's too late", but I raise you: "Alhaitham gets hurt and confesses because he's too out of it to have the filter that's usually keeping him from complimenting Kaveh at every turn"
The great thing about Tumblr is that I can share my thoughts with the world. I’ve always liked having private thoughts, but having someone know what they are every once in a while and respond is rather nice as well. No one’s really paying attention here, so I can say what I want, and if someone likes it, they can see it and move on. I’ve shared it. And very few people will know. Unless I somehow for some reason become famous, then something went wrong along the way.
While the plot of Barbie Princess Charm School (2011) is often criticized on the seemingly ridiculous method of assigning the scholarship via lottery, this in actuality works as a larger allegory for the world of higher academia: Madame Privet states that only 27% of the “lottery girls” graduate, and Blair, who comes from a lower class background, suffers, in addition to social ostracization on account of her socio-economic background, a learning curve, as she struggles with concepts that the other girls, who were all raised to be princesses, take for granted. We can presume, then, that the other girls who graduated were very likely from socio-economic backgrounds that encouraged them to receive training ahead of time in, for example, etiquette, history, geography, etc., giving them a distinct advantage in the system while disadvantaging girls from lower class backgrounds. The only means for students such as Blair to gain social mobility is via a mentor based system, in which a teacher, such as Madame Privet, personally oversees their education. While the scholarship maintains the illusion of equality, therefore, there is no equity in the system. We might compare this to the modern American academic system, which overwhelmingly claims to be merit-based while also overwhelmingly privileging students who can, for example, pay for extensive testing or an expensive undergraduate or MA degree. Furthermore, the emphasis on letters of recommendation puts an overwhelming pressure on students to maintain a good relationship with their supervisors which can in fact hide abusive power dynamics. In this essay I will….
I had been speaking to my coworker, and then I had to leave, but she called my name and I turned and was like “What?” and she just smiled and happily said “Love you”
does she know how much she melted my heart with that? It was so pure??? and wholesome??? and just so out of the blue like sweetie honey are you really out here making me happy with just two words?? I keep thinking about it because it really was just the cutest thing. And I’m not even that close to her. She’s my friend but I never thought I meant that much to her and then she’s just out here casually dropping affection and I’m just
anyways
Maybe I would actually eat if I didn’t have to change out of my pajamas before going upstairs.
I haven’t had a good long cry in a while and it’s annoying me. I need a fictional thing to lose my heart to.
MY ENTIRE SHORT MXTX LIFE I THOUGHT THE GUY IN WHITE ON THE COVER WAS WEI WUXIAN BUT IT’S NOT MY LIFE IS A LIE IT WAS LAN WANGJI THE WHOLE TIME
My anxiety @ other people really be like “Hater until proven otherwise, anything you say or do can and will be taken as an offense and any compliment or kindness will be considered a deception and therefore render you as a suspicious, untrustworthy individual.”
last night I saw a character that was so hot that I had to go to sleep about it
Why do people ship Race and Spot from Newsies? They never meet, why are you shipping them? I don’t see the appeal? I need a full on analysis for this.
Not just for this, I need a full on analysis for any ship that isn’t partially explored or at least aesthetically obvious. Like, Jack Frost and Elsa? They never meet but understandable, ice magic for the win. Mycroft and Lestrade? No! They don’t have any screen time together, how did this happen? Spot and Race? WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THIS FROM
It's hard trying to talk to my mother because when you try to get an answer out of her, she'll imply something that she's not saying and she refuses to say what she means. And when YOU say what you mean, she believes there's a hidden meaning and she won't actually answer your question because she thinks you’re trying to say something else.
Too much girly (lesbian). Too much whimsy (autism). The world is not capable of holding me. Unfortchy, I'm here anyways lmao off, deal with it.
