40 hours later and I finished making A Human Condition fanart again 😭 Honestly, the scene is a mix between when Bill finds himself in the secret space Ford had locked away in his mind and another chapter where he finds what Ford wrote about him !!! I even included some pieces of the text 🥹 I was not playing about the exagerated long hair, although the long hair here is what I visualize when he’s in the dreamscape and not what is actually described in the fic (you could say the whole design is actually 💀)

The whole thing is inspired by of course a scene from arcane that is once again Jinx 🙏 genuinely, I feel like Jinx and Bill are alike (they are my two favorite characters ever…) Also I wanted it to feel like a opening to a webtoon too 🥹 like O:TL

Anyways !!! As I prepare the upcoming A Human Condition poster duology, I had to make face reference sheets for Bill because holy artwork, does these poster require some intricate choices, and oh my gosh, I gave him such a cunty face card 😭

Honestly, I can’t tell which face I like more 😭 I wanna lean more towards Billy because I swear I captured the look of hope so well, but then Bill is there and god damn do I love how threatening he looks (not sure if you can see the faint red in his iris LOL) Default is actually a little silly to me, I didn’t mean to give an arch brow, but now I can see this guy holding an arch brow as default 💀

As I get closer and closer to completing the duology posters, I have to travel through each chapter to find a specific quote for the two posters (this Bill quote is from the newest chaoter teehee 🥹) A Human Condition is so beautifully written I have to control myself when skimming bc then I’m gonna start reading instead of drawing LOL

I’ll go into depth of why this Bill quote and the other quote I’m hoping to find are chosen instead of every other in the next post, but it very much has to do with the dichotomy of Bill vs Billy that I briefly touched upon in the last post

I love Transmasc Bill in the redemption stories so much personally !!! Since I feel like the Bill being human trope works so well as an allegory for being trans (The whole being in the wrong body and feeling wrong) Also, I just feel so seen when it talks about it too 😭😭 Especially in a human condition too, there were so many points i straight was like, “wait a damn minute, is this play about us?”

One of my many regrets in making fanart was that in one of them, Bill was solely going to be in the color of the trans flag, but i cut it bc i was struggling to render the colors ☹️ Maybe when summerween chapter comes out, I’ll hop in the opportunity of basking him in the trans flag colors and succeed 🙏 Shout out to A Human Condition my favorite fanfic ever 🥹

Hey, hope you're having a good day!!! I don’t think you’ve brought this up in the fic, but I’m curious. Alex Hirsch has made some comments about Bill’s gender before, like that tweet where Bill said he doesn’t identify as male or female, just as a triangle. Even though he uses he/him pronouns. (Oh! Or that one saying he counts as a goth girl, but we know that was a joke... Wasn't it?)

Anyway, what do you think about his gender? I'm really curious, especially in your story where he’s human. Any headcan is valid! Personally, I see him as agender, and I think he might be some kind of transmasc or intersex in his human form.

Bill’s gender is something I’ve actually put a lot of thought into, but haven’t had a chance to bring up in my story yet! So thanks for asking! 😁

My personal headcanon is, in Euclydia, whatever shape you have is equivalent to the human idea of gender and that’s why there’s “thousands of genders” for Euclydians because of slight differences in regards to angles and sides that create new polygons. So there’s hundreds of varieties in gender.

After seeing the multiverse, in my opinion, Bill probably adopted agender status or some form of genderfluidity and presents how he wants based on what he thinks will help him get ahead with other beings/cultures or how he’s feeling at any given time. Though, I think he’s still attached to his triangular form due his own superiority complex (and sentimentality though he’d rather die than admit it) and he tries to incorporate the shape in some way whenever he switches things up.

Now that he’s in human form, he’s still operating by those standards and is probably irritated that he can’t do more to alter his appearance like he could when he had shape-shifting abilities.

Hope this answers your question! There’ll be more later on in the story probably, but since it’s a little ways off I thought I’d go ahead and put this out!

I was down in the dumps with writer block, but gang inspired me today so I’m pushing through. The fic has reach 100k words on my doc !!! I’m going to finish this ending and hopefully post it this week and I will then get started on true ending 🥹 I hope we can get through to see Billford at their highest and lowest, but I’m sure we’ll come out strong !!!
