Today I found a video on Tik Tok of someone using a very well done fanart of Sal from here on Tumblr (and probably on Pinterest too) to exude hatred towards other people in the fandom because of the ships and opinions. I know this fandom was never the greatest saint, but I feel like it used to be better than this. I also know that I'm not exactly a saint on this subject either, but the difference is that today I'm trying to change, but that's still a bad thing, yk?

I don't know, I just feel bad because this fandom was supposed to be a place where I felt good and comfortable (even because SF is my favorite and comforting game) and seeing that nowadays this fandom is like this makes me feel bad. Idk, maybe i'm just too sensitive

I know I’m gonna get alot of hate on this post but this has to be said.

There has been alot and alot of fans in the sally face fandom who are against the idea of shipping sal and larry together

Claiming that they are “brothers”

No. They are not.

People can ship whoever they want without having anyone annoying them and their art/edits or whatever they make about the ship.

As long as they’re not offending anyone, and as long as the ship isn’t illegal or disgusting For example : adult x kid

If you don’t like the ship that’s completely understandable. Just don’t go to people’s art and posts and spread negative comments or say rude stuff just because they ship something you don’t like.

Let’s talk abot saLarry for a moment shall we?

Sal and larry are NOT brothers.

They’re not related by blood, nor were they raised together by the same parents

Sal’s father and larry’s mother ( henry and lisa ) married each other when sal and larry were 17-22.

Sal and larry did not get raised by the same people or legally adopted by the other’s parent.

So technically they have no sibling relationship between them whatsoever. Either it was blood relation / adoption / or raised under the same roof.

Not to mention that steve gabry ( the creator of the game : sally face ) said that he has no problem at all with any ship in the game. as long as it’s appropriate. And he doesn’t mind people shipping saLarry together. Because they are not real brothers.

So basically there’s nothing wrong with shipping them at all.

No one has the right to write any negative comments or spread any negative energy in the shipper’s posts or arts or whatsoever.

As long as the shipper isn’t problematic and didn’t give you any harm. Respect them and their work.

If you don’t like the ship or the content they’re posting, simply unfollow them, block them, or click “not interested”. This way you’ll not see any content you don’t like to see and on the other hand, the creator will have the freedom to post and ship whoever they want without having anyone judging them for no reason.

1. Under law it would be LEGAL for them to be together (look up your facts)

2. They aren’t blood related in any shape or form

3. Their parents got married when they were adults (Sal & Larry)

4. They never lived together nor were they brought up together

5. They met when Sal was 15 & Larry was 16

6. They never ONCE refer to the other “parent” as “Mom” or “Dad” (Larry calling Henry, Henry & Sal calling Lisa, Lisa still even after they got married.)

7. Lisa & Henry are dead now, & I like to think that they went back to their respective partners afterwards because let’s face it, Lisa & Jim deserve each other & so do Henry & Sal’s mom ❤️

8. IRL, situations like this have occurred & they are legal & NOT incest.

You know what is incest though? Allison x Luther from The Umbrella Academy, the twins from Ouran Highschool Host Club, Sans x Papyrus from Undertale, etc.

Hell im a HUGE Ash x Sal shipper, but I’m going to DIE defending Salarry shippers because it’s not incest & no one should make them feel bad for shipping it. Especially because it happened in Ch. 4 & people shipped it previously to that chapter. So really, just stop being assholes guys.
