so what’s up? - basically my paypal got compromised and took a whole whackload of money out of my bank account, which then started charging me a bunch of $45 service fees. my bank is doing nothing, paypal is currently also doing nothing, and i’m out several hundred dollars so far. paypal is now taking more money out of my account in suspicious increments. so far they have no response for me.

tl;dr paypal hecked me over and so far it’s cost me about $300, and i have to pay rent and bills.

what can i do? - check out my ko-fi link. through ko-fi, you send me money in $3 increments, and then i write you stuff. i’ll currently write at a rate of 100 words per dollar (down from my usual rate of $15 per 1k words) and if you buy me three coffees i’ll write you 1k.

what will you write? - honestly i’m most comfortable writing hamilton but i won’t rule out anything else. if it isn’t hamilton check with me before buying.

Tumblcoin Tumbles; Reveals Inherent Risk in Imaginary Currency

Literally dozens of people panicked today as TBC crashed. “I really thought Tumblcoin was the future of currency,” said Tumblcoin investor xxxcryptoboy421xxx.

When asked how such a dip in value could occur a mere hour after Tumblr referred to the cryptocurrency as “completely sound” and “unsinkable,” their Chief Coin Officer appeared to dissociate completely.

Investors claim a drop in the Expanding Brain meme as a possible source of TBC’s recent violent fluctuation.

Local economy analysts have stated the only way to save Tumblcoin is by urging the Tumblr community to create a brand new meme to bolster the strength of the young cryptocurrency. The fate is in their hands.

wait can you please explain in a short paragraph or something what @hivliving did? I don’t quite understand :/

Hivliving was a semi-popular tumblr blog that talked about serophobia (discrimination against people with HIV), gave resources on HIV, and discoursed. There were two mods, Israa and Naj.

Israa (supposedly) was a married, nonbinary and bisexual Chinese-Pakistani human trafficking survivor living in India with HIV. Naj (supposedly) was a lesbian of color from the United States with congenital HIV whose main was @allolesbean. They presented themselves as experts on HIV and have asked for donations before to help them survive.

None of these things are true. One person ran Hivliving, a white American college student that did not have HIV. They pervasively lied about their entire identity for years, betrayed many people’s trust, and made money off of it. Hivliving has since confessed to their actions on both that blog and their main.

Why did they fabricate an entire identity? Because they wanted to justify themselves writing an HIV-centric modern high school AU Hamilton fanfiction. They then posited themselves as an expert on HIV for discourse credentials.

Their actions are deeply immoral and crude: the blatant lying about sensitive topics and identities for years, the financial gain, the abuse of followers’ trusts.  I’m having trouble expressing how tactless, upsetting, and wrong their actions are, but that’s the gist of it. All over some fanfic.
