My friend Mahrah (@mahrahpalestine) is an engineering student. She is brilliant and speaks with a clarity of analysis and thoughtfulness (even in a second language, even while living in crisis), that is profoundly impressive and humbling to me. She holds hope that Palestine will be free, and when it is, she will use her knowledge and skill to help rebuild.
Her father lost his job due to the war, and she does not have the money for university fees. The situation for her and other Palestinians is getting more difficult as the duration of the crossing closure increases, and the genocidal famine is leading to sickness and starvation.
Mahrah explained, "Food is missing from the markets. If the food is found, it is usually unhealthy because it contains preservatives and we eat it for a year and 8 months, and this causes diseases. But there are no other options to do without it. My nephews are at risk for my father's and mother's diseases and need healthy food because they are at an advanced age. It's like a famine, but there is no media to cover what's happening. They killed all the journalists."
Donations have been slowing, and she is afraid for her family's health. If you can spare some money to help them, please do.
Mahrah has been so incredibly kind and loving to me in our conversations, even checking in how I've been while recovering from surgery. She has extended so much compassion towards me, and I want to encourage others to extend that same level of compassion towards her.
hi guys, i won't say much, ahmed's campaign to buy new tents and get plastic tarps to protect improvised shelters in his refuge camp has been ongoing since 11/24. we are over 2/3rds of the way to the goal.
i would love to see this campaign finished by the end of the year, so i will match all contributions starting today, dec 20, until we meet the goal!
which means that we only need $300 to reach our goal
you can look through my or @cygnettes' blogs for proof of donation over the past few months. i still have commissions for palestine open. and if you have any questions, please let me know :]
in the spirit of christmas giving, please help us to reach this one last goal by donating and/or sharing. thank you for your generosity!
Gonna add on to this ,Rui and Ed are still both murder subjects .Along with what Ed did on the roof top him offering for Mc to become a vampire but she was under the sway of the purple mist which puts such a bad taste in my mouth.
Hi! I just wanna ask about your opinion in the scene when MC flinch because Rui's hand(?) in the last episode, what do you think about it?👀
I'm not sure what's the consensus on this, but I genuinely think MC wasn't a bad person for having that reaction, and Rui has all the right in the world to be upset about it – I think both things can coexist in this situation.
I'm of the opinion that, yes, while I wish MC had more of a backbone, I also acknowledge that she has been through SO much trauma in only 2 months that she's probably living on autopilot all this time. Her body just reacts in accordance with her instincts – she saw how his curse works, of course she's gonna be scared. She also apologized right after flinching, so she knows Rui would never hurt her, but her subconscious keeps her on edge. I think it's a normal reaction. I probably would react the same and apologize right after as well hahaha
And Rui's feelings are valid too. While I don't think his flirting comes from a place of being in love with MC (he probably just flirts with any girl ever), he does like her. Of course it's gonna hurt to see someone you like being wary of you, especially when you despise your own condition so much. Even if he knows she didn't mean it, it gotta sting.
Anyway, I think both of them are fucked up and valid with their reactions, that's basically my opinion :D
I KINDLY ASK ALL OF YOU TO HELP ME AND DONATE IN THE LINK PLEASE

Noury, a Palestinian artist currently in Palestine, is as of today (February 4th 2024) having a fundraiser to help with her and her families surgeries. Noury alone has no right eye, an open cheek & forehead, a fractured wrist. She and her family were in a school and were targeted by tank missiles. She has had these injuries for months now.
From Noury: Hey everyone... I'm terrified for my family's situation so I set up a fundraiser if anyone would like to help us with our surgeries and situation. It would mean the world if you took a look, considered donating, and shared with friends. I love you all

Help my family survive and start a new life
I am Hazem Shawish, and I am trying to save my family from this war.
We live in Gaza, where we face significant challenges due to the current situation.
My family consists of 11 members, including my mother, two daughters, four sons, and three children.
In the shadow of conflict, our family has faced unimaginable hardships. The passing of my father, a victim to the cruel grasp of hunger and inadequate healthcare, left a void in our lives, underscoring the fragility of our existence here. My brother, Samer, battles bipolar disorder, a condition exacerbated by the ongoing war and the severe shortage of essential medications. Without access to the necessary treatment, his life is at risk, and we live in constant fear for his well-being amidst the chaos that surrounds us. These personal tragedies have deepened the urgency of our situation.
Every day is a struggle for survival, and each night is filled with prayers for a brighter tomorrow. We hold onto hope, believing that one day the clouds will dissipate, and we will find the peace we long for.
Our home, which was a sanctuary for us, was destroyed, forcing us to live in a state of uncertainty and fear. We have lost the laughter of our children.
Our entire neighborhood In Gaza Before and after
we had a supermarket that helped as to live and earn money, but it was bombed and we have nothing now, pic of our supermarket
We also face psychological challenges, as we have lost our father, and my brother Samer, who needs expensive medical treatment, is facing imminent danger. My mother, who has endured so much, fears losing another child. We are all suffering from malnutrition and contaminated water.

The war has returned after 15 months of death and genocide. We have never rested. We are losing people every day, most of them children and women... The bombing is everywhere. Our children are afraid...The sound is frightening.😭
There is no food, no drink, no medicine, the crossing is closed and everything is expensive.
‼️We don't want to die. Please donate and help us so we can buy food and medicine for my mother and save ourselves from death. Just donate. 😭🙏😞🫂‼️
God this is really devastating and kinda explains why gazafunds.com doesn't work recently
