Yep, I Was Right

Yep, I Was Right

Yep, I was right

I bet I could tell a gen x or baby boomer some shit about a “new hot sauce in the eye challenge” and they’d immediately believe me and freak the fuck out about how stupid kids are. They always tell me about all these “challenges” that I’ve never heard of before.

A lot of leftists say that “The Left” is actually center, which I’ve always hated, but they aren’t entirely wrong. I have some opinions that most would consider right-leaning (pro-Israel, pro 2A, pro police), and leftists certainly don’t agree with most of them, but Democratic politicians do. It’s going to be pretty difficult to be a politician, whether Democrat or Republican, if you disagree with those three things. The thing is, “The Left” may be becoming slightly more center, but only because “The Right” has quickly turned into the far-right. Republicans are suddenly throwing up Nazi salutes, calling for the annexation of other countries, starting dehumanization efforts for immigrants and disabled people, etc. etc. and they have support. Which puts Democrats in a pretty hard position. They desperately need to lessen the support for the new far-right.

Which brings up another interesting question, how (most) leftists are able to connect Trump deporting people to El Salvador to concentration camps (I agree that a comparison should be made, even if they are, of course, not the exact same), but unable to connect “pro-Palestinian” protestors physically harming Jews or blocking them from entering places to pre-Holocaust Nazi Germany (where I also believe a comparison should be made). But that’s a post for another time…

When we say Israel is a Jewish state we don't mean that it represents Judaism. We mean it is culturally Jewish. It is the only country that functions on cultural Judaism, where you automatically get off on Jewish holidays, the calendar works on the Jewish calendar, the weekend is over Shabbat, the language is the Jewish language, media in all forms are often expressions of Judaism etc.

This does not mean that there are no goyim in Israel. Au contraire, Israel is one of the most welcoming places for people regardless of ethnicity on the ME, and over 25% of the population are nonJews.

But the culture that is in Israel is Jewish.

So when you say death to Israel or that we should be destroyed or there doesn't need to be a Jewish state or whatever else, you are saying that there should not be a place in the world where Judaism is a dominant culture, that of all the different people in the world, Jews are the only ones who do not deserve a place where they can set the rules. That we should always be minorities and fighting for our rights.

And that boys. is antisemitic.

I always get asked if I’ve got music in my head because I’m always moving my head and tapping, but in truth I’m just stimming. I say yes.

Okay so when people say "don't radicalize children to hate Israel" and the response you give is "how can they not be radicalized when Israel is killing their parents?" you are actually contributing worse than nothing, you are contributing the very thing that perpetuates the cyclical nature of the conflict. If you don't radicalize children, then they will be open to education and perspective and see Israelis as people—and yes maybe they will still hate Israel, but they will also hate Hamas, who pushed the war as well. You thinking it is okay to be radicalized under specific circumstances is how suicide bombings and child soldiers and hostages happen: I say this to Israelis who were radicalized as well by the war, and I have criticized Israelis (including those close to me) for also thinking indiscriminate violence is okay.

This account was made ages ago, and even though it looks dumb, I don’t want to change anything so it’s still like my “old” account
