Just remembered how I had a Yogi Berra baseball card when I was younger but I gave it away at some point :(
I really don’t trust the major support for Luigi Mangione. There is a certain group that people call elite, globalists, rich, evil, oppressive, etc. even though they aren’t, duh. And I certainly don’t trust Americans with that. Vigilantism shouldn’t be encouraged. The second you say “it’s okay for person A to kill person B because this or that” you’ve gone too far because that allows A LOT based on different people. I think of Emmett Till (“its okay for us to do this, because he was being sexually aggressive,” which we know now that he actually wasn’t). But horseshoe theory I guess. No one has the right to play God (why I’m against the death penalty as well!). Another thing, being violent, as a form of political resistance, shouldn’t be supported. As a queer (white) person, that’s something I really am inspired by as part of the Civil Rights Movement, and wish there was less violence in the history of queer political resistance, since it was non-violence that changed so much in America with civil rights. Now there’s even support for the cyber truck bomb guy. Which, I know no one was killed except for himself, but c’mon, really? Why don’t we all go back to what we learned in elementary school? You can’t fight fire with fire, two wrongs don’t make a right.
It's my mum's birthday!
*Spoiler Alert for season 2*
I imagine that the other boys were so excited when they heard about Wille and Felice because then it was their slight chance that he wasn’t gay, or he was fixed or something. ☹️
I am constantly getting blue balled in this damn house
Well
Fuck I’m so excited for a possible subway World Series
I can only respond as an Ashkenazi, I don’t know how everyone else feels, but I disagree. I am a Zionist. I feel a strong cultural and religious connection to the homeland. I even plan on permanently living in Israel when I’m older. But I’m also European. My great-grandparents were born in Poland and Italy, and I feel a connection to those places. Additionally, I feel a strong connection to both Hebrew and Yiddish, and even as a Zionist I don’t think Yiddish should be “phased out.” It’s a language of our European history and I like that.
When I was a kid I used to get really confused about Yogi Bear and Yogi Berra and tbh I still do because WHY ARE THEIR NAMES SO SIMILAR??
Almost every friendship I’ve had with a male has had undertones of homoeroticism (and gay allegations)
