A glimmer molangai braves the nightly sub-zero temperatures of the tundra. Strangely enough his herd is nowhere in sight.
This MASSIVE mangrove tree is probably the most eye-catching feature in swamp now & I love it đ„°!
It adds such a mystical element to this biome by sheer size alone, with glowing buds just being a fun detail. The tree borders the redwoods & tundra biomes so others can see it even from afar. What I like most about the tree are the holes that can be made into a home for smaller creatures.

Iâve been playing COS for a while & just wanted a place to upload screenshots of some of my favorite creatures & some ocs. Not to mention descriptions on the ways they survive, their relations with others & some headcanons for some species. Observed through the perspective of wildlife photographers.
This blog was largely inspired by Somalian Roger & his Documentary videos on YouTube. So check them out too. Enjoy! đđ
Every cos player has undoubtedly played sochuri. Itâs the starter creature most new players are gonna choose & letâs be real immediately discard when they get a bigger creature. Itâs inspired by bats with its big ears & description saying it can cling to walls so these headcanons came to me easier than the xeleviprex ones.
- They live in crowded colonies of numerous individuals where they constantly bicker & fight for nesting space.
- The majority of sochuri colonies nest in lava-heated caves & caverns on Volcano Island, however colonies do survive just as well in other habitats. đ
- Sochuri canât survive in year-round cold environments. Even their internal fire-breathing mechanisms canât warm them up enough to stay in the long run. đ„¶
- They mainly forage at night, relying on excellent night vision & highly-tuned hearing to find food. đ
- They prey primarily on small, abundant insect creatures. Their favorites being wuggawyrm, flickaflie, beezu & astrothi. đŠ
- Some sochuri are able to form hunting gangs. Together they can even bring down large prey a single sochuri would normally never attack solo. These gangs however are fairly unorganized & uncooperative. Getting into fights in the middle of a hunt & even if they make a successful kill, theyâll squabble for every last chunk of meat. đ
- The spikes on the malesâ nose, cheeks, & chest are used solely to impressive females. Males with the longest, most perfect spikes are given the chance to breed with any number of available females. They wonât help in raising the young.
- While most males stay in the same colony their whole lives, females regularly move to new colonies. A behavior thats meant to prevents inbreeding.
- Because of their abundant numbers, sochuri are a reliable food source for many predators. Mainly preyed upon by other fliers, like aolenus. đŠđŠ
- Sochuri simply fly away when faced against a predator alone, in a group however they become brazen. The whole group will mob their attacker with breaths of fire sprayed every which way while at the same time screaming loudly to disorient the threat until they leave or the sochuri loose their nerve & flee. đ„
Let me know what yâall think of these headcanons.
A female prialoura spends her days nesting as her children play & explore their Flower Cove home. The youngest child being born with leucism.
Months ago I posted about my exterreri, Gnasher. I no longer liked Gnasherâs original colors since Iâve gotten better making skins, so I made a new one. I Love It A lot! The multi-colored yellow frills & axe tail most of all!
I used honey-eyed palette to make it if yâall were curious.
I like the idea that most volcanic creatures regularly visit Volcano Island to bath in the lava pools or simply delight in the heat they provide, especially in winter. Kinda like how Japanese macaques warm up in hot springs, but with lava instead.
Moonelle wishes youâll good luck on the Easter Event! đŁ
Observing from up high the mesaâs canyon cliffs, this elegant vorpalus doesnât reveal herself to most. But sheâs usually the first to notice someone new enter her domain.
Dunestrider has lived here for many years.
She is Ringtailâs favorite mate & is older than him too. But unlike him, Dunstrider isnât as quick to start a fight & usually watches a potentially threat from afar before confronting it. Sheâs very protective of the mesa waterhole along with any food she finds there. Her favorites being fruits & eggs of ground-dwelling creatures.
Dunestrider is an experienced mother, having raised both Ringtail & the previous maleâs kids. Most having survived to even have kids of their own.
May she live long & her bloodline stretch far.
Hi probably like nobody here plays CoS but anyways i drew cool snake that released yesterdayđđ
