Wow. What a ride. This book was not only so exciting that I stayed up past midnight three nights in a row reading it, but also incredibly meaningful.

I was upset by Elhokar's death because I had hopes for Moash and Elhokar was close to redemption. And by upset I mean I was throwing my pillow down the stairs. That scene where Kaladin had his breakdown and the humans and parshmen he cared about started fighting really got to me. Poor Kal has gone through so much and he just needs love. (Not necessarily romantic, just love in general)

This book really addresses the meanings of right and wrong, after getting to know the parshmen with Kaladin and finding out that the humans we're the voidbringers.

I think there's a lot of representation of different human problems and mental illnesses in this book: split/multiple personality with Shallan, depression with Kaladin, epilepsy with Renarin, amnesia and alcohol addiction with Dalinar. As Brandon Sanderson himself said, character's limitations are more interesting than their strengths, and the realism of these characters is one of the amazing things about these books, as well as the detailed worlds and cultures he created. And, of course, the crossover with Warbreaker and the mention of Vivenna.

I loved this book. So much. I'm glad Shallan and Adolin ended up together, because I don't think I could imagine Kaladin and Shallan. Also, Dalinar fighting off Odium was the coolest thing ever. I'm so happy that Jasnah became queen.

I think it's awesome that Dalinar learned to read at the end because as he said, the men claimed battle and the women claimed literature, and now with Jasnah, Shallan, Lift, Lyn, etc, learning to fight and Dalinar and Renarin learning to read, they're reclaiming what used to be closed to them. It's so cool.

Thank you, Brandon, for this amazing new update on Roshar, and I can't wait for the next one.

That is probably pretty accurate.

What ‘base’ would holding hands be in Alethkar.

it depends entirely on which hand, which genders, and what Rosharan baseball is like

Yeah, Les Mis you just have to admit defeat at some point.

guide to singing along to musicals alone

Be More Chill: sing along to ALL the instrumentals.

The Book of Mormon: passionately yell the lines. Then glance out the window awkwardly to make sure no one’s listening. Then resume passionately yelling. Awkwardly go quiet when you hear people passing your door. Repeat.

Dear Evan Hansen: two modes: either humming the songs peacefully to yourself or jumping to your feet, perfectly executing the “Sincerely, Me” dance and also doing all of Ben Platt’s physical tics and waiting for your Tony.

Falsettos: *singing along happily for hundredth time* *abruptly stops* What does that line even mean

Hamilton: there is literally only one way to do it: singing along to all the parts at once and incorporating all the furniture in the room for maximum effect.

The Last Five Years: have a hundred tabs open with the lyrics. It would be one of the easiest musicals to sing along to alone if there weren’t so many goddamn words.

Les Misérables: reconcile yourself to the fact that it’s physically impossible to sing along to all the parts. You gotta just pick a character to sing with. Which is actually fine, because most Les Mis fans have this one character that’s “their” character. And there’s probably only one character who’s in your range, anyway. I mean, you can try to sing along to all the parts, but prepare to get absolutely slaughtered in “One Day More.”

Newsies: whatever you do, just don’t try to dance along. Please.

Next to Normal: *singing along happily for hundredth time* *abruptly stops* Whoa. That line is really clever/weird/sad/beautiful.

The Phantom of the Opera: AHHHHH aaahhhh ahhhh ahhhHHHH SING MY ANGEL OF MUSIC AHHHH ahhhh ahhh hahhhHHHHH sing mY ANGEL ahhh hahhhhhhh ahhhhHHHHH SING FOR MEEEE AHHHHH HHHHHHHH HAHHHHH HHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SING MY ANGEL HHHHHHHH Ś̹̗̝̠̫I͓̻̰̲N̢̠͕G̦̬͟ ̲F̳̫̦̜̭̰O͙̹̪͕̞͉͟R̩̭̦ ̛̠͚̰M̫͍̬͇͈̖EE̖̙̬̳̞̞̹È̖E͈EE͏E̗̞̲͍̰̕E̗̙̬̻̭Ḛ̫͉̗̜ aaʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰ

Rent: ALL the air guitar.

Spring Awakening: *forgets lyric* 🎶 lonely grass purple horses hay bale 🎶

Waitress: wait until “I Didn’t Plan It” and “She Used to Be Mine,” and then let out YEARS of pain and sadness

Wicked: *searches on YouTube* how to belt

One More DEH Thought, This Is The Did You Fall Or Did You Let Go Scene In Act Ii And I Was Watching A

One more DEH thought, this is the did you fall or did you let go scene in act ii and I was watching a video of it and noticed: look at their sweatshirts. They're the same. Evan is wearing Connor's sweatshirt. I put this up for discussion on Google+ and people suggested that this symbolized him becoming more like Connor, pulled back and secretive. And in the last scene, he has a new jacket that means he's put that aside and moved on.

ATTENTION

‘saltyurio’ on Instagram is reposting my art and a lot of other YOI artists’ art without credit and since they blocked me for asking them to take it down I’m guessing they’ve blocked all the other people who have messaged them. If you could go to their account and comment on their posts or something just so their followers know who the original artists are I’d really appreciate it.
