Guys, I think Iβm obsessed with themβ¦
Binging TFP is so funny because oh, here's Skyquake who's so faithful to his master, oh, here's Breakdown who pushes Bulkhead out of the path of MECH's weapons, oh, here's Dreadwing who is So Honorable, and the Autobots PLEAD with them to change sides, to become Autobots . . .
BUT NO, they get Knock Out. The vainglorious, self-centered little shit who has no qualms, no loyalty, no morals, and certainly no medical ethics . . . Knock Out, who DOES NOT have a redemption arc or a change of heart or feel bad about a single thing he's done, who says out loud that he just wants to be on the winning team.
I love that. I love that all the noble, loyal Decepticons fucking die and only Knock Out wedges his way into Team Prime, fueled by spite at Starscream and a desire to live comfortably.
thanks for listening, soundwave!
Happy Disability Pride Month everyone!
Okay, Iβve gotten obsessed with Danny Phantom recently and obviously that means I need to crossover it with Transformers. So like, Holoforms. Ghost.
Imagine some Cybertronian using a holoform at his random earth kid who is incredibly helpful and help said Cybertronian understand earth culture (without realizing it of course). But over time they notice the human flickers sometimes. Parts of their body seem to go invisible, like a hologram. Sometimes their body will glow when in states of heightened emotions, like a hologram connected to a neural link. Obviously, the Cybertronian decides, this βearth kidβ is a holoform. But who are they? Why would they chose the form of a human kid, let alone stay in this weird human city. They need to investigate.
Now to Danny Phantom, he meets someone clearly new to Amity Park, possibly the country given how little they seem to know of culture and social norms, and this city is obviously not shallow waters for newbies, so he decides to help them out. Over time he starts to notice odd things. Sometimes they seem to flicker in the light, almost going invisible, like a ghost. Parts of them glow oddly or are just not quite right, like a ghost in a human disguise. Obviously, this βnew personβ is a ghost. But why isnβt his ghost sense going off? He needs to investigate.
please remember today and this feeling for the rest of our lives. it doesn't end here. there's still work to do, there are still people to save and protect. we have to count on each other to survive. they want us to forfeit and bend under their weight. they want us to snap and they want us to disappear, to be submissive. live because it's what they don't want us to do. persevere because they don't want us to persevere. make a change because they are scared of it. hatred can not be left to fester and rot. we aren't going back. history might repeat itself but time keeps moving forward, so we have to as well. stop relying on people in power and rely on the people who love you. teach the children in your life that their future matters. teach them to read and write and sing and tell stories. teach them to understand what they're reading and to do something with it. the curtains are blue and you know why they are. literacy and education is more important than ever before. so is teaching your children how to look out for others and themselves. teach them to be brave, teach them to have courage. teach them to persevere.
be safe. be smart. be kind. be careful out here. be cunning and be prepared. it's up to us. don't go down without a fight, and know that a fight doesn't have to be an uproar. sometimes a fight means meticulously planning, hiding in plain sight, knowing when to strike. sometimes it means moving when no one can see you.
bravery does not mean you are not scared. it means you are continuing to move forward while listening to your fear.
