Original concept art by Ralph McQuarrie takes us to the icy Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

Oh thank goodness! I was very concerned that we weren’t going to see some James Swallow in the Siege. Me and D were just saying how little we saw Garro so far, and how we would have loved for Swallow to write one of the books, and bam! Here it is, our prayers answered. Judging by Mortarion’s involvement in the story, though, it is most likely set before Warhawk. Which, is a bit of a bummer, as I am sure this story is going to be the death of Garro, and nothing would have been more satisfying than crying at this last Garro story and then screaming in rapture while reading the Khan slaying ol’ stinky in Warhawk. But, hey, I guess I can just read Warhawk again. It’s been my favorite of the Siege thus far anyways.
