I remember when chapter 431 came out, people were behind the idea of Shouto being a rebound for Katsuki to get over Izuku or take revenge on him, but to be honest, I prefer something deeper than that. There's just something about Katsuki thinking that there will be no one else for him but Izuku, only for Shouto to unexpectedly worm his way into his heart and give him a second chance in love. Shouto would be like the Kimmy to his Michael. The Autumn to his Tom.

And Shouto would be so good for Katsuki because his straightforward and compassionate nature would enable him to handle Katsuki's personality, just like during their time in UA. I think Shouto would also challenge him, not only as the No. 2 Pro Hero, but also as someone who realized that there may be more to life than wanting to become a hero.
