Here’s a list of things you can do instead of harassing/threatening someone when you don't like something online. Because clearly some people need to hear this.

Block them. If you don’t like an account for whatever reason. You can simply block that person. It’s that simple.

Mute their post. If something pops up on your feed and you don’t like it. There’s usually an option to mark a post as see less often/not interested. Doing that will make similar posts not appear/appear less often on your feed.

Filter out certain words/tags. Most social media has some form of filtering in the settings. Whether it’s key words or tags. Filtering will either entirely block or mark certain posts with a warning that it contains something in your filter. (this is why proper tagging is important!)

In the past, people saw the polls, saw who they support was doing well, and didn't vote. Then, their candidate lost.

Get out and vote.

EDIT: do not mail your ballots now! It's too late to mail them, check your county's rules for returning them to get them counted. You may be able to drop them off at a ballot box or voting site.

Be aware that there are limits on who can return them, and that you may need to provide ID. Check your county's website before you go.

Additionally, you don't have to tell people how you voted. You can lie! They will never know.

And vote the whole ballot! I know it's a lot, but it is so important. It helps how our schools are run, how your local police department is run, and even the potholes in your area.

Not to mention the citizen-submitted bills/propositions!

I desperately wish people would start actually reading the AO3's TOS before confidently making 'user guides' to the AO3 that are just blatantly, flatly wrong.

Yes the AO3 has banned content. They do not allow anything that's illegal under US law - though US law, importantly, does not ban fictional depictions of things - and they do not allow any commercial content. That includes your ko-fi link, or mentions that you do fic commissions. If you do post fic commissions to AO3 and want to mention the commissioner, the fic is a 'request' from the commissioner. This protects the AO3 and you from copyright law.

No the AO3 is not 'a creative fanfiction archive'. It is a fandom archive. Your meta, insights, and theories are absolutely welcome and encouraged there. AO3 also encourages you to post other types of fanworks, like fan videos, podfics, and art, but unfortunately isn't able to natively host those like it does text, so fic has kind of become what it's known for. That absolutely does not mean that other types of fanwork aren't allowed, or are discouraged by the site culture! Anybody who tells you otherwise is just plain wrong!
