Obikin Time Travel AU where Anakin ends up meeting Obi-Wan, who is the same age as him.

And, because there's no Secrets and Impropriety and Guilt and Age Gap and whatnot, AND he's gone so far back in the timeline that Palpatine isn't even the Chancellor yet, Anakin just gets sidetracked by having an affair with Obi-Wan basically immediately and ends up messing up the timeline even more -- this time not because he falls to the Dark Side, but because he completely forgets what he was traveling back in time for in the first place for like, multiple years.

Obi-Wan: [reading the news on his phone in bed] Huh, looks like Palpatine became the new Chancellor. Anakin: [half asleep next to him, naked with wild bedhead, suddenly bolting out of bed and trying to put his pants on as fast as possible] Oh FUCK, I knew there was something I was forgetting about!

The thing that gets me is that I don't think Mary ever called John a good parent in front of Sam, just Dean. Dean sat there in silence, but Sam would walk away and make a PowerPoint presentation, complete with pictures he got Castiel to draw, about how and why John was an absolute crap father.

"Now, I am aware that there are some blanks in my childhood that only Dean can fill in because I was a kid, and he kept shit from me," Sam begins, "but I do remember how much money Dad would leave behind, and it WAS NOT ENOUGH to cover anything that Dean would get me in the weeks that Dad was gone. What if the reason that Anakin and Padme were able to hide in plain sight for so long is that it's really common for Jedi to have friendships that seem unusually close and intimate to outsiders?

Like. We actually do have some canon evidence that it's normal for a Jedi to be besties with a major political figure! Obi-Wan and Bail, Qui-Gon and Valorum--wasn't Yoda pals with the Wookie leader?

Jedi having Epic Friendships/brothers-in-arms-type relationships regardless of venue is probably their default cultural portrayal, in-universe. "Jedi are just super intense about that stuff, it's the Force or something. It doesn't mean they want to fuck you."

...This means that in the good end AU where Palpatine explodes and Anakin's secrets come out there's a massive cultural whiplash to the effect of, "does that mean they were all fucking in secret?!"

Yoda and Chief Tarfful have to publicly deny any allegations of a sexual relationship.
