On sale tomorrow is Satoshi Kon’s first long-form manga Tropic of the Sea.

It’s strange to call it Kon’s debut work, but this is his earliest work to be translated into English and his first manga in English as well. Already the work is getting some attention being a unanimous selection for Pick of the Week at the Manga Bookshelf (link).

February has been crazy! I want to thank @usagi.goya for organizing and coordinating the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo 40th Anniversary Tribute book of Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo. It features amazing pieces from talented artists, including two of mine. The idea sparked while I was at Dragon’s Lair, LLC, where Lucas had the huge G.I. Joe omnibus on the counter.
