Deaf Ravenclaw students learning to translate spells into sign language and going on to become pros at wandless magic because you can’t hold a wand while using sign language. They invent their own spells that involve really subtle hand movements - they look like they’re just twiddling their thumbs but they’re actually cursing your hair to fall out. They’re terrifying dueling partners in DADA. And they charmed the eagle statue outside the common room to have magical subtitles and respond to sign language.

Stress about a project for weeks, but not actually do it until the night before.
the beauty of anime movies is their view on ordinary things. every single thing is detailed to look good and feel good. the sky, the food, the clothes; all its characteristics make you feel warm and safe and want to get out of bed, or wherever you are, to see the sun and inhale pure air. that’s the reason i love each one of them, they make you see beauty and awesomeness in every little aspect of our ordinary lives. the joy of talking to your friends between breaks and sharing some laughs, the feeling in your chest every time you fall in love, the calmness of walking anywhere and seeing strangers and wondering what’s their story. the happiness of sitting in your backyard to draw, paint, listen to music, anything that makes you feel okay. everything can be fine and it will be. that’s the feeling anime movies transmit to you. the feeling of living our lives.
ok hear me out WHAT IF bsd had a character who instead of being some writer would represent the readers and their ability would be to basically absorve other people’s abilities
wouldn’t that be iconic
Do you ever just have a breakdown over the fact that there are too many books to read, too many movies to see, too many poems to memorize, too many plays to watch, too many artworks to stare at and that you will never be able to consume all of it or is that just me

Gryffindor: Are you gonna be nervous?
Ravenclaw: Am I gonna be ner- I’ve been nervous for 19 years.
find something that makes you feel passionate. read everything you can find about it, research it late at night, then tell your friends about it. make notes and think deeply about it on long walks and on bus rides and when you fall asleep. because our passions make us who we are, they define us, they are what we stay alive for. how sad and dull life would be if we had nothing that kept our hearts wild and our eyes alight.
everyone’s out here like “buy Disney plus” “no, pirate!” you fools. the best way to experience a tv show is vicariously through tumblr posts about baby yoda
I always liked Roger from 101 Dalmatians because I admire a person who, when faced with someone they dislike that’s invading their space, just aggressively plays jazz instruments at them until they leave.
