doodlin gwenmj to keep my mind off the heat
It's always so funny how people characterize Peter Parker as someone who begins his superhero career bright eyed and grows into someone more cynical and pessimistic along the years when in reality it's the opposite and at 15 he held scorn for just about everyone in his life save for his Aunt May and at 25 makes unrealistic vows about no one dying under any circumstances when he's around
leaving what counts as "old style" up for interpretation. if more than one of these is relevant - pick the one that's most important to you. reblog for larger sample sizes etc etc
After all, it’s health food, right? How bad could it…ulp.
Amazing Spider-Man #177
i know peter has a perception as one of the nicer superheroes, especially compared to like. batman or daredevil. but like, it really boils when they conflate usually minimizing damage to not being feared/being harmless/disliking hurting people because
this is a man who
chased a robber around until he got a heart attack
came this close to murdering the goblin
gave otto arachnophobia after putting him in the hospital. it didnt stick obv, but the point stands
has ripped people's faces off. on at least two occasions when pressed
the entire back in black saga
is, and i cannot stress this enough, a man who legitimately thinks violence solves his problems
and more
spectacular spider-man
How much can Peter patch up a suit until it's done for good? Tune in and find out tonight with Felicia Hardy as your host!!
i will never be normal about The Character. hope this helps 💖
I've been saying this for years but I've finally found the funniest way to say it, in the MCU Tony Stark isn't so much Peter Parker's father figure as he is his deadbeat dad figure. Like Tony shows up once a year to take Peter to a baseball game kinda vibe. Tony in homecoming is like hey kid I know I haven't seen or spoken to you in months but I bought you something and that's basically the same as emotional support. Tony taking Peter to Germany in civil war is like when your deadbeat dad tells your mom you're having father-son time but he's really just taking you to his guys' poker night and trying to get you to cheat for him. When Tony says you're nothing without the suit then you shouldn't have it, it's like when your dad says if you're not going to follow my rules in my house you can leave, I put a roof over our heads what else could you possibly want from me. Tony mourning Peter after infinity war and calling him his kid is like when your dad only wants to hang out with you after he's lost custody. Like well and truly deadbeat behavior no wonder the fanon is like that
