having online friends who are busy is just like. I LOVE YOU. I miss you. YOU GOT THIS. I'm giving you space to work. I LOVE YOU.
Dear Reader,🌹
I am Dr. Mohammed Aldeeb, a dedicated medical professional specializing in emergency care, hailing from the Gaza Strip. 🇵🇸 ✌🕊
For years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital, tending to the wounded and the ailing with compassion and skill.😀
However, the ravages of war tore through our lives😓, forcing me to abandon my cherished home and the familiar walls of the hospital where I once found solace😥💔.
Despite the adversities that besieged me, I persevered in my pursuit of healing. My determination led me to Al-Azhar University, where I embraced the role of a teaching assistant, imparting knowledge to aspiring medical students with unwavering dedication. Dreams of specializing in internal medicine beckoned me back to Al-Shifa Hospital, but alas, the brutal onslaught of war reduced it to rubble, shattering my aspirations in its wake.
In the chaos and carnage of conflict, I sustained injuries, and the sanctuary of my home was obliterated, leaving my family and me destitute and displaced. Yet, amid the ruins, a flicker of hope persists. At Al-Aqsa Hospital, I continue to extend a helping hand to those in need, drawing strength from the resilience instilled in me through years of education and service.
Today, we find ourselves sheltering in a humble tent, stripped of our possessions and livelihoods. The loss of my job, my home, and the comforting presence of my loved ones weighs heavily on my heart. Nevertheless, I refuse to surrender to despair, clinging to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.
It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you, dear reader, seeking assistance in securing safe passage for myself and my family from the turmoil of Gaza. With your kindness and generosity, I hope to reclaim the path to realizing my medical vocation, enabling me to provide for my loved ones and contribute to the healing of our wounded world.
Your compassionate aid would mean the world to me and my family.
With gratitude and hope,
Dr. Mohammed Aldeeb

Look how many people hate him. I’m pretty damn happy about that 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Please help evacuate Saeed's family from Gaza to safety!!
The aim is to bring attention to the campaign with something engaging and shareable that highlights that these families are not numbers. What our families need, along with enough outside attention to turn into funds to escape, is to feel seen, to know we're out here fighting for them. Do what you can for them without adding to their considerable stress and load!!
the irony is that palestinians also don't enjoy receiving donations and unlike americans, online campaigns and gofundmes are not common or culturally acceptable (egyptians and sudanese people are also similar in this respect, but palestinians even moreso) and i know several younger generations of palestinians (and sudanese) are raising these funds behind their parents' backs because they would not accept this money if they knew it was raised by strangers, and i know others whose families were VERY against it until it became a matter of their children or grandchildren surviving or getting lifesaving medical care.
during the beginning of the genocide as well donations were not recommended because the problem was political, not economic. it couldn't be solved by donating enough to UNRWA or whatever. but once egypt raised the border crossing fees by 500% and israel destroyed everything within gaza, including cutting access to electricity and telecoms, as well as schools and banks and hospitals, the situation quite obviously changed.
the way ppl have designated cuddling as a purely romantic thing and is weird outside of that context has done widespread damage to our pack animal nature

And I'll say this over and over again:
Please understand that Israel has information on where everyone is in Gaza.
They know the names and ages of everyone in a specific building.
I made a post about this before but the noise you constantly hear in the background of videos coming from Gaza is the sound of the zanana, a type of Israeli drone that is watching every move Gazans make.
This is just one way Israel keeps the entire population under constant surveillance. They also use quadcopters and AI to identify their targets.
So when they falsely claim to be targeting a Hamas member and kill a dozen children in the process, they do so knowing.
That's not collateral damage, that's intentional.
After all they killed 4 day old twins in a precision strike. They snipe children in the chest and head. They killed 6 year old Hind knowing she was alone. They aren't oblivious or are making mistakes. Would you call well over 15,000 children deaths in the span of 10 months one giant mess up?
Families in Gaza are starving because of Israel blocking resources from entering. The consequences of childhood starvation are severe and deadly, both immediately and long term. Malnutrition weakens your immune system and leaves you more vulnerable to infectious diseases, and makes it harder for your body to fight the illness, so the chance of severe illness from common illnesses is higher. Even completely treatable illnesses can kill you when you’re starving and don’t have access to medical care. This combined with lack of clean and safe drinking water is extremely dangerous, especially for the children. Malnutrition stunts your growth, affects your development and heightens risk of serious health problems for the rest of your life. Being underweight and suffering from malnutrition makes you cold more easily, and more vulnerable to hypothermia.
Can you imagine as a parent having to witness your child suffering like this? Fearing for your children’s lives from what would usually be a relatively minor illness? Hearing them cry from hunger because the occupation is starving them? This is every parents worst nightmare, but for Ahed this is reality.
Ahed has three beautiful young daughters under 10 years old. 9 year old Fatima “the closest to (Ahed’s) heart and my little one”, 6 year old Iman “the friendly, kind, and loving child who is loved by everyone” and little Nour, who is only one year old and has barely got to experience peace in her short life.
He campaigns every day to get attention for his campaign to feed them and keep them warm and hopefully evacuate when the border opens. We have the power to help Ahed and his little children survive this. Food prices in Gaza are extremely high and it’s difficult to even get water. Ahed and his family do not have adequate shelter from the cold. Donations can help him buy food and clothing and blankets for his children to keep them warm in the winter They’re already suffering so much from the sounds of bombs and repeated displacements, starvation and infectious diseases is another cruel consequence of the occupations genocide in Gaza.
I know he is scared and exhausted from asking for help for this, but he keeps going because his children are his whole world, and like any parent he would do anything to save them. This is his hope. I believe it’s our job, as the people who support and care about palestinians lives, to make sure the people who reach out for help know that the world hasn’t forgotten them. Please show Ahed that the compassionate people of the world will help him
they only have €7,153 raised out of the 40,000 goal. Anything you send will help a lot ❤️

ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help
