is it considered hyper-empathy to get anxious/depressed over a hyper-fixation? for example, when something bad happens to my fav character, i instantly get depressed/anxious and won't stop thinking about it for weeks, to the point it's hard to focus irl.

It is. When an autistic person gets a special interest on a show, book, movie etc, we tend to care a lot about the characters
