Satoru is not a very sociable person.
He much prefers the safety of his house. In there he can let the masks drop and be himself without any prying eyes. Sure, he can play the smooth business man like a pro but he isn’t like that in reality.
And reality is often disappointing.
Satoru’s drive to climb high in the company he works for and his ability to flirt his way into deals has gotten him very far.
But as soon as he is in his house he drops the act that is his outside life. He switches his contacts for more comfortable glasses and lets his unruly white hair do its own thing. Satoru is a nerd to his very bones; Digimon, anime and music are all very important to his lifestyle.
Music is a big cornerstone of Satoru’s life, he needs it to do almost anything. Most of the time his music taste shifts and is composed of all songs with good beats or lyrics. He never really had one band he followed.
That was until he came across your band.
It had been a clear autumn day when one of his friends had shared an earbud with him and one of your songs came on. Your voice was clear and loud in his ears. He had been almost mesmerised by the riffs on the guitar that accompanied it.
Satoru has all of the albums that your band has ever released. Even a few additions that were rare. They were his babies, he even has a few signed. He had bought your new album and the tickets for the tour the day it was announced.
When Megumi’s band had been announced as your opener he was ecstatic. He had practically yelled that his son was famous from the rooftops. Satoru told everyone about it and how he was going to support his son. He is ecstatic to have the opportunity to not only watch you perform in person and also meet you.
He fusses over his appearance for hours in the mirror to make himself not as recognizable as usual. It works for the most part and he will also be in the crowd so he lets it be for now.
It’s insanely crowded as he enters the venue. People push and shove to get a better spot. He feels a bit thrown around as he walks, like a ragdoll being tossed back and forth. But he gets a good spot in the crowd to wait for Megumi’s band to make their debut.
He has his camera ready to film his son and to send a video to Tsumiki who couldn’t make it because of work. She had been so upset that she couldn’t make it and Satoru had promised to film the entire thing. He doesn’t plan on letting her down.
Satoru cheers the loudest when the band begins to play. Yuji’s voice and energy gets the crowd clapping and cheering. He was always the best one with the crowd, his sunny demeanour has always drawn people in.
Megumi looks slightly less grumpy than usual. His frown upturned more than normal as he plays his guitar with practiced ease. He looks a bit miffed when he finds Satoru in the crowd with his phone recording but he can’t say anything about it now.
Nobara matches Yuji’s energy well and sings backup vocals. She jumps around the stage almost as much as Yuji does. Junpei looks nervous behind the drums as if they hadn’t practiced it a million times but halfway through their set he gains his confidence.
It was fun to see them evolving from the teens who practiced in Satoru’s basement.
“Thank you Tokyo!” Yuji yells into the crowd with his trademark grin as they end their set. The crowd cheers back in return to his words.
After they exit the stage there is a period of about twenty minutes until the lights dim and the main band enters the stage. Satoru feels his heart beat out of his chest as you walk up to the mic and begin your set.
He can never go back to just listening to the recorded version of your songs after this.
The first show of a tour is always the best.
Everything is new; new songs, new choreography and the screaming fans. It’s electrifying to experience, all those people and all that noise. Like a drug that you want injected into your veins.
When Yuki, Nanami, You and Suguru had first started the band that is now selling out stadiums you would never have guessed how popular it would get. It started in the basement of Suguru’s parents house when all four of you were only teenagers. Now you hear every person in this sold out stadium sing the lyrics to your songs.
“Come on! You guys can sing louder than that!” You exclaim with a wide grin and hold out your microphone to the crowd.
The best thing about being a singer is interacting with the crowd. You know how to make the crowd laugh, go wild and enjoy their experience. It’s arguably the best job ever.
You have long left your previous stage fright behind in the early days of your guys’ fame. For the longest time you could not handle the crowds but now you can’t get enough of them.
“Do you think we could reward the crowd for being so kind to us Yuki?” You cozy up to your bassist, an arm around her shoulders and point the microphone at her.
Yuki laughs brightly, “I think we could make that happen! What about you Suguru?”
The man in question gives you a smirk and a wink before obliging the two of you. His guitar playing the opening to one of your older songs. You cheer with the crowd and get them jumping again.
As you sing your eyes roll over the crowd. For a moment your eyes catch on a tall white haired man. He is watching you move around the stage like you have him in a trance. All too happy to give him something to look at you send a wink his way before moving on.
When that song is over your set is over.
You guys say goodbye to the crowd and go backstage.
“Who wants to go drinking after the meet and greet?” Yuki asks with a grin.
You hum in contemplation as she takes off her base to put it in its case. She stretches her arms above her head lazily.
“I will have to decline-” Kento replies quickly.
“Come on!” Yuki pouts at him, “Have fun for once in your life!”
“You should let loose Kento.” Suguru says with a grin.
Hopping up onto one of the gear cases you swing your feet lightly as they pack their stuff up.
“I have to agree! Remember that night in Vegas-” You are cut off by a sharp glare from him and hold up your hands in surrender. “Fine! I was just saying that you could have a bit more fun Kento.”
“Besides you Yuki will be by herself.” Suguru says and you giggle as he stands behind the case you are sitting on to put his arms around your waist.
Kento rolls his eyes at the both of you. Yuki just chuckles and continues to pester Kento to go out drinking.
“My tongue ring should be healed now.” He practically purrs in your ear.
Your relationship with Suguru has never been official in the public light.
You have been in a relationship since you were twenty. Even before that there was a magnetism to him that drew you in. Kento, Yuki and both your inner circles knew but outside that it was private.
Suguru preferred a more private relationship and you didn’t want to deal with the constant questions about your relationship that would come with it being out in the open. And it being a secret made it all the more fun.
You clench your thighs as you remember what he could do with tongue before the piercing and think of all the thing he can do now. He is doing this on purpose to make you all hot and bothered before the meet and greet. This is to get back at you for this morning but this is purely sadistic.
“You're so mean!” You whine as he chuckles and lets go of your waist.
“Come on let’s go.” Suguru nods his head toward the door that Kento and Yuki have already begun to walk out of.
You huff and get off the case to join them.
The lines are long for the event and you can’t even see to the end of the line. You shake so many hands and take at least a hundred pictures. It is surprising that you don’t feel too worn out after it.
There are only a few people left in the line. A group of four teenagers and a man behind them. The teenagers walk up and you recognize them instantly.
“You guys are the openers right!” You ask excitedly as the approach.
Yuki looks interested and leans in closer to have a better look at the group.
“You remember us?!” A girl with a brown bob exclaims and points to herself.
You throw your head back with a laugh.
“Of course! We try to know every one of our openers and their music.” Yuki says and holds out a hand to her.
She squeals and takes it. You smile fondly at them then turn to the other kids. The one closest to you has spiked black hair and a frown on his face. He is talking with Suguru about something, a light in his bored eyes.
The lead singer, you think his name is Yuji, walks up to you and you hold out a hand.
“Yuji right?” You ask and watch his face light up.
“Yes! I am a huge fan of your work!” He exclaims with a wide grin.
“I’m a fan of yours,” You shake his hand with a smile, “that crowd work is good.”
He blushes a bit at your complement, “Oh that’s nothing!”
What a humble kid. You will have to keep contact with them even after the tour because they are on a good track to be on the same level with your band.
“Crowd work is important, don’t discount yourself like that. And your vocals are amazing too.” You continue.
After that you talk with the girl, Nobara, the boy, Megumi and their drummer, Junpei. All four of them are sweet and you can’t help but feel that the next generation will be in good hands with them around.
The last guy is the man you winked at in the crowd. He is cute up close, his walk is a bit awkward considering his height. He is tall, about as tall as Suguru if not taller. His glasses fall down his nose to reveal the bluest eyes you have ever seen.
Looking him up and down you grin and hold out your hand.
“Hi~” You greet him sweetly and watch as his cheeks grow red.
“Hello,” He shakes your hand, “nice to meet you.”
“Do you want something signed,” You lean forward to get closer to his personal space and to push your chest against him, “or a photo.”
The poor man looks down at your chest then back up to your eyes with an expression close to fear in his blue eyes.
“Both!” He practically squeaks out and you want to continue to tease him, how far can you push until you break him?
“I can do that, Suguru!” You call out to Suguru who has been staring at him too.
He saunters over to you with a smirk on his face, “I heard you wanted a photo?”
The man nods sheepishly and you want to coo at his expression. He is so shy and you can’t help but want to play with him. Suguru raises an eyebrow but he seems to catch on to your game and smirks
“Come on then pretty boy.” Suguru says and the three of you take a photo.
The man’s cheeks are red the entire rest of your interaction. He hurries off soon after and you pout at his skittishness. You would have loved to taste him but guess not.
Realizing that there is no one in the line you grin and pull Suguru behind you by his collar. He doesn’t fight you on it, just follows behind you with a smug expression. Suguru has long since told you about his possessive streak when it comes to you.
So you two started to fuck after every show, it was your little tradition.
You must have fucked in every venue in Japan by now. The idea of getting caught with him turns you on like nothing else. It wasn’t really big news to the rest of your inner circles who have known about your relationship for years now but someone else catching you is hot.
Now Suguru has teased you enough, he can put his money where his mouth is. And you are going to put his mouth to very good use.
Satoru almost had a heart attack seeing you in person.
His exit had been so swift because you and Suguru Geto almost made his brain shut down. His brain keeps repeating ‘pretty boy’ like a mantra.
He walks down the halls of the venue looking for Megumi. Satoru wanted to say goodbye to him before he went back home and he doesn’t want the night to end yet.
A faint noise from one of the rooms catches his ear. He can’t really hear it but it sounds like a laugh or a sigh. Maybe Megumi was with the rest of his band in this room. He knocks on the door once, twice, then decides to just open the door.
What he sees in that room is straight out of a wet dream. You are leaned back on one of the plush black couches, your head thrown back. His eyes trace the column of your neck as a low moan is drawn out by Geto who is in between your thighs.
“Like that- good boy.” You say and run your hands through his thick black hair.
That goes straight to his dick. He wants you to praise him that way. Satoru doesn’t want to push Geto out of the way, no, he wants to join him in between your legs. His mouth waters at the sight of your exposed pussy.
Your eyes slide over to him.
He expects you to get angry or embarrassed because he caught the two of you. But you don’t do that, instead a smirk forms on your red lips as you look at him. One hand gestures for him to come closer while the other pulls Geto closer to your cunt.
“We have company Sugu-” You say to him in a teasing tone, “hmm- pretty boy walked in on us.”
Geto pulls back to stare at his face then his eyes look down at the obvious tent in his pants, a smirk on his lips. “Shut the door pretty boy, unless you want others to see us.”
Satoru feels like he may not make it out of this room alive.
One thing you learn about the guy who walked in on you is that he is so sensitive. A small touch from you or Suguru has his dick twitching in his pants. It is so cute.
“You are doing so good, baby.” You coo at him as you continue sucking on his neck.
“Too- much!” He whines and bucks his hips into Suguru’s hand.
A little giggle escapes your lips as tears prick his pretty blue eyes. He looks so ruined like this and you are very into that. His glasses are esque and his cheeks are a shade of red you have never seen before.
“Just wait until he gets his mouth on your dick, he has a talented tongue.” You whisper in his ear.
As if on cue Suguru licks up the length of his cock before taking it into his mouth. His lips stretch around it and you can’t deny how hot that is.
You both had talked about inviting others into both your bed and relationship. Suguru had said that he wouldn’t mind it but nothing had ever come of it. Until pretty boy came along. You can already see all the fun you could have with him.
His moans get even louder and you can’t have anyone finding you in here, not that it wouldn’t be hot but you don’t want him to get tangled up in your fame unless he wants to.
“Here,” You tap two fingers on his bottom lip, “suck on these so we keep the noise down.”
He gives a shaky nod before he begins to suck on your fingers. His lips look so pretty wrapped around your fingers. He must like it because his hips buck into Suguru’s mouth.
“We should take him with us on tour,” You muse out loud with a grin, “he would be so good for us.”
Suguru releases his dick with a slick pop, “He is being good so far, besides walking in on us.”
“Fuck-” He curses around your fingers but it trails off in a high whine as Suguru continues sucking.
Your free hand trails under his hoodie to play with his chest. His breath hitches as you pinch one of his nipples between your fingers. You roll it and he squeezes his eyes shut, his whines growing more desperate.
He must be close.
“You can cum pretty boy-” You coax him softly.
He snaps his hips up and cums. You take your fingers out of his mouth to hear his soft moans as he cums hard. Suguru keeps going through his orgasm and you watch his eyes well with tears as he is overstimulated.
You wonder if you could ride him to tears-
A loud ringing interrupts your thoughts.
Your phone buzzes on the table next to you. Groaning you reach over to grab it to see Kento’s contact on it. With a pout you answer the phone.
“What’s up Kento?” You ask in the nicest tone you have right now.
There is loud music and yelling voices in the background of the phone call before he begins to speak.
“Yuki is drunk and I need you two to come help me with her.” He explains and you hear Yuki’s laughter in the background.
Suguru, who has long since swallowed, stands up and looks at you with an interested expression. You huff and roll your eyes. He gets the message that you two probably won’t be staying much longer.
“Can’t you handle her? She can’t be that drunk this early.” You grouse.
“Imma’ call my ex!” You hear Yuki slur in the background and stand up.
Damn it.
“We will be there soon, take her phone. I don’t want to deal with her getting back with her ex for the millionth time this year.” You tell him and hang up.
Pretty boy is just coming down from his high as you wipe the tears from his eyes and readjust his glasses. He looks between the two of you with a confused expression.
“Will you be okay to get home?” Suguru asks him gently.
“Yeah- I should be fine.” He says still a little out of it.
“Here-” You grab his phone and put your number in it, “If you want to continue this text this number and I will text you the address and room number of where we are staying, we fly out the day after tomorrow.”
He looks at you in disbelief, like he never thought that you would offer him more. You laugh at his expression and press a kiss to his red cheek.
“Hopefully we will see you tomorrow pretty boy!” Suguru says over his shoulder as you two exit the room, careful to shut it behind you to give him privacy.
You really hope he shows up because you haven’t gotten to ride him yet.

Most of the humans who eventually come into his domain have forgotten his true name. His name has been forgotten in their fear of him.
Hades
They whisper low, trying not to draw any attention from him. As if they whispered the name of his domain it would not get his attention. He knows that they fear him and not respect him like the other gods who reside high on Olympus.
Suguru walks through the cold stone palace that has been in place for thousands of years now. Long draping veils of black hang from open walkways. Nothing grows here so he has no gardens nor trees around his home.
It is barren of life and in Satoru’s words, ‘joy’.
But that’s what this place is supposed to be. His palace is not the place where the souls of the dead go to so there is no need to decorate it lavishly.
It has been a while since both Satoru and Shoko have visited at the same time. It has been a few months maybe, he doesn’t truly run on the human concept of time. It was interesting to him how humans wanted a system to measure time.
From the faint laughter and sounds from the next room over he can tell that they have already made themselves at home. He steps into the room with his arms crossed.
“You two know nothing about the laws of hospitality.” He says and walks over to the table where the two of them lounge without a care.
“Suguru! Must you be so uptight?” Satoru says and grabs a honey cake, “And aren’t rules of hospitality for humans and not gods?”
Suguru huffs and sits down next to Shoko.
“I do think that it is all this stuffy underworld air.” Shoko says and swirls her tea.
“Some of us have important things to do.” He says and grabs a cake to eat.
Gods don’t require food but they do indulge from time to time. The flavour of honey and strawberries is a good mix on Suguru’s tounge.
“Yes, yes!” Satoru says in a mocking tone as he grabs another cake, “We have a duty to the humans to make sure that things go smoothly! You should really break the rules for once in your life!”
Suguru sighes at his friend’s flippant attitude.
“And how would you suggest I do that?” He says with a raised brow.
Satoru puts a hand to his chin as if to think but his blue eyes are alight with amusement.
“The party two days from now!” Satoru says and snaps his fingers, “Everyone is going to be there, even the Goddess of Spring will be in attendance.”
The last comment catches Suguru’s attention. He had not known that a goddess of spring was in the heavens. The newer souls had made conversation briefly about seasons changing but he had not really paid attention to it.
“Goddess of Spring?” He asks and Satoru smirks at his intrigue.
“Yes! She is rarely seen,” He leans closer like he is telling him a secret, “but rumors say she is breathtaking.”
Suguru frowns. He didn't want to know that. But it is just like his friend to only remember the “important things” to relay to him.
“I have no time for such frivolous things.” He says with a huff.
Satoru purses his lips in frustration, “At least think about getting out once and awhile!”
“Sure, I will think about it.”
Spring, of course, is your favorite time of year. It is when you are at your strongest and you love the flowers and new life your powers cultivate. Each new life is under your careful eye as they grow.
The large forest in front of you is still in deep winter. As you walk through it the snow melts and the trees grow fresh leaves and flowers. Your feet touch the warm earth and the grass that was brown now is a beautiful green. The forest soon gives way to a large field.
Soft snow has set over the rolling hills. But you know that there is beautiful grass and plants laying in wait underneath it.
“Lady Kore!” Nobara, a young flower nymph calls out to you. She approaches you with a bright smile.
“Nobara,” You bekon her to your side, “how was your winter?”
She falls into step with you as you walk into the warming ground.
“Well! Maki visits often.” She explains as you work.
You remember the girl. She was a member of the Moon goddess’s immortal hunting party. Maki was not talkative but Nobara makes up for her quiet nature.
“Do you like this girl?” You ask, trying not to pry but you feel like pushing deeper into her business.
She blushes bright pink as you smile knowingly. So it seems your hypothesis was correct, she does harbor feelings for the huntress. You think it is adorable that she feels the need to hide it from you.
“I am sorry for pushing you out of your comfort zone.” You say and pat her head.
Nobara shakes her head, “It is alright Lady Kore, you are trustworthy.”
You smile down at her, she is a kind girl.
“Let’s get to work, I am sure you are ready to help me?”
“Yes!”
Once your work is done you look around satisfied. Flowers of all colors and kinds have sprung up around the path through the field.
“Lady Kore! Lady Kore!” Nobara says and runs over with something in her hands.
You turn to see a flower crown in her hands. A crown made of daisies, yellow roses and forget-me-nots is gently placed on your head. Nobara smiles up at her work and you thank her.
“Thank you, Nobara.” You say and walk over to a nearby cherry blossom tree. You sit down and Nobara follows your example. She starts on another crown, you assume it is for Maki who is coming to the field later.
After a night of contemplation, Suguru has decided to go to the surface for a while. It couldn't hurt to take an afternoon to look around.
So he set aside his work for a while and began to make his way to the surface. He moves through the surface’s shadows. It is mundane, humanity going through their lives like normal. He finally stops in a forest.
What he supposed is spring has just come to the forest. The snow has melted, leaving puddles in the earth. Water drips down from the leaves to catch on the budding flowers growing from the ground. He must admit the fresh spring forest is nice.
Suguru follows the path through the forest and looks around at the life there. After seeing so much death for years it is an abrupt change from his norm. Young deer wonder around the forest under the strict watch of their mothers, small wild flowers pop out of the underbrush and the trees are green and new.
When the forest parts a field full of flowers awaits him. Flowers of every color and kind dot the landscape. He even sees some he doesn’t recognize. Suguru is sure that they don’t grow naturally so a nymph or a god would have something to do with this.
His suspicion is proven correct when he catches sight of you.
None of the thousands of flowers that grow in the field compare to you. Your kind eyes, soft facial features and smile captivate him to no end. The light pink of your dress highlights the flush in your cheeks. You sit under a cherry blossom tree with a young nymph at her side. The two of you are making soft conversation with each other.
Suguru is sure that he was struck by one of Eros’s arrows the moment he looked at you. Your warm laughter fills the field and Suguru feels so very exposed. His normal gloomy mask is far out of his reach.
He feels so very human at this moment.
You feel something’s presence, but looking up you see no one there. It is strange. You are sure you felt something. Resolving to remain vigilant, you turn back to Nobara. She is recounting a story about Maki’s lastest hunt with the moon goddess.
You had met the goddess a few times in passing. She was easy to get along with and is rarely in the heavenly court, preferring to stay with her hunters and hounds. You can see why Maki likes the goddess’s company.
In your time as a goddess you have not seen the other gods a lot. Your sister has been protective of you so you rarely interact with the other gods. The only time you really interact with the other gods is when you go to the parties celebrating the seasons.
Your domain is a time of hard work for humans. They begin to plant the seeds for their crops and clean out everything in preparation for summer.
It is a beautiful time and you will never be tired of this time of year. Since most humans begin to get out of their homes more they give out more offerings. The gods decided to hold a celebration every spring.
Even though the party is two days away you are excited to plan out which flowers to place around the grand hall. You spend the rest of your time in the field thinking which flowers would look good next to the cold marble.
Suguru paces.
That’s all his body allows him to do as his mind races. He tries to calm the beat of his heart but for once his heart is stubborn and beats fast as he thinks of you. You looked so at home among the flowers, as if you had been born of them. Your melodic laughter still rings in his ears.
And how he wants to bask in your gentle glow. To feel your fingers on his skin, in his hair, on his chest where his heart beats wildly for you. He would give up everything he has to hold you.
With a drawn out sigh he slumps down on his iron throne and his mind conjures up an image of you sitting in a matching one next to him.
“God- I have gone insane.” He mutters and slides a hand down his face.
“Oh? Do tell!”
Suguru looks down to see Satoru sauntering up the dais to him. He has the same self satisfied look on his face as always.
“It is nothing.” Suguru says trying not to let anything slip.
Satoru narrows his eyes at him suspiciously.
“Do I need to get Shoko to get the answer from you?” He says with his arms crossed obviously displeased with Suguru’s answer.
Suguru scoffs, “Shoko has no control over me.”
“Maybe but you and I both know not to get on her bad side.” Satoru says with a shrug.
“Like I said-” Suguru stands up, “It is nothing.”
Satoru look wholeheartedly unconvinced but lets it go. Instead he switches tactics.
“So, about that party!”
It now makes sense why he is here.
“What about it?” Suguru asks.
“Do you want to go with me? Even Shoko will be there.” Satoru pushes.
Suguru genuinely thinks about it. He never goes to the many parties thrown on the mountain but maybe he might get a glimpse of you. A light blush overtakes his face at the thought.
“I will go.”
Suguru doesn’t sleep that night.
Gods don’t require sleep but when there is no one awake Suguru tries to sleep. His mind won’t let him be. He curses Eros for his meddling nature.
When he lays down in the too large, too cold bed all he can think about is you. Rolling over he imagines that you are sleep beside him. He would cup your cheek gently and pull you closer.
Maybe if you were in his arms he could sleep.
Nanami doesn’t comment on his dark circles in the morning. He has always been very uninterested in Suguru’s personal life and the feeling goes both ways. Their relationship is only on a work basis.
“-I was a good person!” The soul yells up at him.
Suguru looks down, unimpressed, “You killed your own son.”
The souls flounders for something to say. He doesn’t seem to realize that Suguru can see his whole life. A big mistake on his part.
Suguru rubs his right temple as the soul begins to excuse his actions.
“Well-“
“You murdered your own kin, a grievous mistake. You are lucky I didn’t send the furies after you for that.” Suguru explains and with a flick of his hand the soul is sent to the fields of punishment.
Nanami walks over to him and a somewhat sour expression on his face. Suguru raises an eyebrow in question.
“You have been moody this morning.” He comments and Suguru wishes that Nanami didn’t.
If Nanami is commenting on it, that means that his inner turmoil is plain on his face.
“I am not in the mood for your concern.” Suguru states, his gaze stormy.
Nanami makes no further comment but Suguru is sure that Haibara will hear of it and then Haibara will tell Satoru. It will snowball into a big thing if Suguru doesn’t do something about it now.
“I just need air.” Suguru sighs deeply, standing up from his throne.
It wasn’t entirely a lie but he would rather trade places with Prometheus then tell anyone about his sudden longing for you.
Much to Suguru’s relief he accepts the excuse. Nanami nods his head and disappears in a wisp of smoke, most likely to visit Haibara.
When he is gone Suguru decides to do something he shouldn’t.
He decides to see you.
You place the last flowers in place for the party. The grand hall is covered in flowers of all shapes, kinds and colors. It is a vibrant celebration of the spring, a celebration of you.
“The colors are beautiful.” Utahime says from beside you, a soft look in her gaze.
“I was thinking of adding more roses next year, they are gaining popularity in the human world.” You explain and coax out a few water lilies from the grand fountain.
“You don't need to worry about the humans, just the spring.” Utahime says and crosses her arms.
“They give us worship so they are under my care, even if it is only for half the year.” You remind her and stand back up to look her in the eye.
She looks displeased but doesn’t make any more comments on it.
You love her but she is so overprotective of you. It’s almost like she believes you would disappear if you weren’t in her sight at all times. Even if it is out of love, it is still overbearing.
“I am going to the human realm for a while.” You say and surprisingly she does fight you on it.
Hopefully she will begin to loosen her grip.
This was a bad idea.
Suguru tries to think of a way to get close to you without revealing himself. You would notice, you surely would not just let the God of the dead be near you so easily. You must know of him and his reputation by now.
A rustle of the trees nearby has him looking up. In the afternoon skies is a crow. The bird caws loudly as it takes flight. He watches it fly away and is struck with an idea.
Suguru feels his body morph into that of a large crow. He experimentally flaps his wings and is satisfied as they move the way he wants them to. He has never shifted before, he never needed too until now.
With unwavering determination he takes to the sky like the crow he had just seen. His light body flies far above the treeline. The world is so small from up here but he spots you immediately.
You are wrapped in an emerald green dress that blends into the grass around your feet. The cherry blossom petals have fallen off the tree and some have found their way into your hair.
Suguru circles overhead a few times before landing a few feet from you.
He feels your gaze wander over to him. Trying to keep up the act he walks around the field. He is not one for flowers but these are your flowers, so he bends down to look closer at them. A soft giggle catches his attention.
You have a hand over your mouth as he looks up at you. Suguru can see the laughter in your eyes. He doesn’t know what you find so funny about him looking at the flowers but for the sweet sound coming out of your mouth he would do anything. Against his better judgment he walks closer to you.
He is used to being shunned by the other gods so he is prepared for you to run from him. But you don’t shoo him away or flee from him. No, you lift out and arm for him to perch, you smile and beckon him closer.
Suguru takes the invitation you offer. His heart beats out of his chest as you look over his wings. He stretches out a wing for your curious gaze to fall on. You hum and run a finger along the column of his throat.
“Your plumage is beautiful.” You compliment him.
Suguru can’t help but preen and puff out his chest a little under your praise. He can’t tell if it is an animalistic instinct or his own desire to show off in front of you.
“And a little full of yourself.” You remark with another laugh.
Suguru lowers his head in embarrassment at your words.
“I apologise,” You coo to him softly, “I didn’t mean any harm with my teasing, kind visitor.”
He pauses at your last two words.
Would you still believe that if you knew who he was? If he reveals himself would you still smile at him like that?
His mind swims with those questions as you begin to talk to him.
You enjoy the parties that are thrown on Olympus, on the rare occasion you go, so you do your best to make each one count.
But the party thrown for you is by far your favorite. You have free reign to show off the season you adore so. They get to see that you are not some fragile thing that needs the protection of her younger sister.
For one night a year you are free and you are going to make the most of it.
You walk up the white marble stairs of the great hall. The flowers perk up at your arrival, they lean in as you pass. Reaching down you pick up a poppy and put it into your hair.
The grand hall is abuzz with people. Most of them talk among themselves and sip on ambrosia. You walk in and a few wave at you as you pass; smiling in return you wave back at them.
Momentarily you catch someone’s eye.
He is standing against one of the white marble columns. His dark hair is tied back and his lavender eyes widen as you stare at him. You smile over at him pleasantly as you pass by. He is quite handsome, his face is pulled into a scowl as he looks over at Yuki who is saying something to him.
You watch, puzzled, as he storms out of the hall. A part of you wants to chase after him but a voice rings out behind you.
“Well-” You turn to see a god with white hair and bright blue eyes approaching you. “You must be the elusive Goddess of Spring!”
“I don’t think I am that much of a shut in.” You say with a polite laugh.
He gives you a grin and tips a glass of wine to you, “I must thank you for your season because I couldn’t make my wine without it.”
This man must be the God of Wine, Satoru.
“I must decline your thanks,” You refuse with a kind smile, “I just perform my duty.”
Satoru laughs, it is a loud and boisterous sound.
“You really are too humble!”
You are about to speak again but the man is already walking off in the direction of a nymph holding a tray of ambrosia wine. He seems to be the type of person who loses interest easily.
Trying to reorient yourself you remember the man who walked out. It shouldn’t be rude to at least look for him and you want some fresh air anyway.
Yuki is very outspoken, you have seen it personally and an avid matchmaker. It may be that she said something with the motive of helping but it came off as rude. Hopefully you can help repair the situation for your friend.
You walk out of the wide arch way into one of the many courtyards. It is lined with trees and has a grand fountain in the center. You look around before your eyes catch on the man from before. The man is sitting on the edge of the fountain, his robes draping on the ground.
Slowly you walk over to him. His eyes shoot up to yours as you approach. He stands up abruptly and goes to leave.
“You don’t have to leave on my account!” You exclaim and go to grab his hand.
He looks shocked as you move to touch him. You note that he doesn’t like physical touch and withdraw your hand. His eyes study you for a moment before turning around to fully face you.
“I wouldn’t want to disturb you.” He says.
“Of course not!” You say, “You were here first and I can find a different garden to hide in.”
He looks confused before speaking again, “Why would you want to hide from your own party?”
You sigh and sit down on the edge of the fountain. He follows suit and looks at you.
“As much as I like parties, sometimes they can be a lot for me.” You admit.
The man nods, “I’m only here because my best friend dragged me.”
“Do you really hate the parties that much?” You ask curiously, turning your gaze to his.
“Most people don’t feel comfortable around me because of my domain, so I tend to avoid them.” He explains to you.
Looking down at the ground you try to understand his words. He seems like a pleasant person and why would someone’s domain be a reason why they are shunned? It doesn’t make sense to you but you hum to show that you are listening.
“I don’t feel uncomfortable around you.” You say and look back up at him.
His lavender eyes are wide as he looks back at you, a spark of something in them you can’t decipher. You want to ask him more questions but a voice cuts through the calm of the moonlit garden.
“Get away from her!”
You look up to see Utahime stomping over, her face twisted in fury. The man stands up and his posture is tense. Standing up as well you walk closer to your sister.
“I should have never left you alone.” She says and grabs your wrist.
“Why do you mean?” You exclaim, “I am just talking to someone!”
She looks at you then and her face softens slightly. It doesn’t last long before her gaze turns to the man you were talking with.
“I don’t want you conversing with the God of the dead.” She says but it isn’t fully directed at you.
His words now make sense.
You had never met the God of the Dead but you had heard rumors. They all said that he was a man with a terrible personality. He was rageful, hurting anyone in his path.
But this man isn’t that way. He seems genuinely considerate of others and talked with you when he could have easily avoided you. So why are you being pulled away?
You look back as Utahime drags you out of the garden. His gaze is stormy but it clears slightly as you look back at him. You see his right hand twitch as if he is holding back from reach for you.
As you reach the white marble steps of the entrance you wrestle out of her grip.
“Why are you doing this?” You ask and she turns around to you.
“That man is dangerous! If he was here I wouldn’t have let you come here.” Utahime says frustration in her voice.
“You don’t let me do anything!” You say and walk closer to her, she looks shocked.
“That’s not-” She tries to speak but you cut her off.
“You seem to forget who is older here, sister. I can go where I like and converse with who I like.” You yell, “For the last few years I have let you have control because it makes you feel secure but this is too much!”
Utahime looks hurt but you have had enough.
“I am leaving.” You state with finality in your tone.
“Wait-” She says frantically and reaches for you but you are gone in a flurry of flower petals.
When you blink your eyes open again you are standing in your flower field.
You cry then. Big, hot tears fall down your cheeks as you sit under the cherry blossom tree. The tree sways around you in a soothing manner and the wild flowers around your feet reach up as if to dry your tears.
After you have exhausted your tears you lean back against the trunk of the tree for comfort. You could just stay here. You don’t have to go back to face her.
A caw breaks you out of your mind.
You recognize the same crow from yesterday, his onyx wings almost blend into the night. He lands next to you and peers up at you. Reaching out a hand he hops on, his eyes study your face and you give him a sad smile.
“Thank you for visiting again, I think I need companionship right now.” You admit, your voice is still thick with tears.
The crow looks concerned as another round of tears prick at your eyes. You let the tears fall and the crow coos softly in comfort. Running a hand over his head he nuzzles into it, what a smart crow he is.
“Do you know a place I can run away to?” You ask him, “You must have seen many places so can you take me somewhere?”
His eyes widen at your question, the specs of lavender in them sparkling at your request.
You shake your head at your own foolishness, this crow can’t help you. He probably doesn’t even know what you are saying to him. With a sigh you close your eyes, you will just sleep here tonight then figure out what to do in the morning.
Suguru looks down at your sleeping form. You look so peaceful here, your lips parted softly as you breathe. He wants to reach out and touch you, to feel you under his fingers.
He stops himself.
You may have given him permission to take you, but you don’t know that. He could take advantage of this. He whisk you away to his palace and keep you there. Suguru could take you and use your own words against you. His eyes trace the tear tracks on your cheeks. If he was any lesser man he might take advantage of you.
A shiver runs through you and he wraps his cloak around your shoulders. He looks down at you wrapped in his clothing and his body makes the decision for him.
Suguru puts an arm behind your back and his other arm supports your legs. He moves slowly so as not to wake you. To his surprise you don’t stur, just move to get comfortable in his arms. Your eyelashes flutter in sleep but besides that you are blissfully unaware of everything.
The sun peaks over the horizon as Suguru disappears with you in a wisp of smoke. He just hopes that no one saw him take you.
Preview for this coming tomorrow! 🤭
You and Yuki had grown up together.
Her father had a thriving farm and supplied most of the town with food. She was brought up under her mother’s care and guidance but always had that rebellious streak. It was cute in the beginning but soon she was uncontrollable, the exact opposite of what a lady should be. So her mother had the idea to introduce the two of you at the age of ten.
Both of your mothers, who were old friends, had hoped to bring you out of your shell and to give Yuki a proper friend besides the cattle on the farm. You were a shy little thing and Yuki was wide eyed and curious. So she had poked and prodded you out of your shell.
After that the two of you were inseparable, neither of you were seen without the other. You got more confidence but Yuki still was as wild as ever. She would drag you out of your embroidery lessons into the fields and creek that ran through it. You would come back with mud on the hem of your skirts and a wide smile on your face.
You spent six wonderful years with her but not all good things last.
You turned sixteen and a marriage offer came your way. It was crushing because you wouldn’t be able to see Yuki that much anymore. But the kicker was that your parents were sending you to live your Aunt back east for a year to “ready” you for the marriage.
Tears had filled your eyes as Yuki rode her horse beside the train to send you off, tears running down her cheeks and a sad grin on her face. Oh what you would give to stay in her arms for even just a minute longer.
The year was long and hard, your Aunt was an unforgiving woman. Summer turned to fall then winter then into spring then finally summer again.
Soon you were stepping off the train onto the platform to see your mother. She looked so relieved to see you but the black dress she wore and the red under her eyes told a different story.
“What happened Mama?” You ask panic welling up in you.
“The Tsukumo farm burned to the ground two weeks ago, they are all dead.”
You had ran all the way up the path to that farm, tripping over your skirts multiple times to get there. Your heart had shattered upon seeing the charred remains of the farm you had practically grew up on.
The only thing that you found of Yuki was a small necklace with a heart shaped pendant. Holding it to your chest you feel both a sense of loss and hope.
Because if her body isn’t here then maybe she made it out of the fire somehow.
Okay so for my Yandere Suguru should I make a tag for that? Because for now it is mostly just going to be me yapping about it
What's your writing process like? Like, is there a vibe you set up or create before writing (like music or other things)?
So music is a big part of it unless I am really into what I am writing. I usually need music to do basically anything because of my adhd but with writing I need a song with the vibe of what I am writing!
Thank you for asking
