happy international womenβs day to all women and a very big βgo to hellβ to everyone who even tries to exclude trans women from this celebration!
As of 12/8/21, Kellogg's has broken off negotiations with their striking union workers and is electing to permanently replace the strikers. So needless to say, don't support strike breaking: don't buy Kellogg's products. Besides breakfast cereals, Kellogg's makes Cheez-Its, Pringles, and owns Kashi. I'm sure there's more that I'm not aware of, so if the hive mind wants to add to the list, please do.
TL;DR Don't buy Kellogg's products
π¦10, 13, & 30 for the soft asksπ¦
10. What is something (or someone) youβre in love with?
π (itβs about to get cheesy) Iβm in love with the way my cat lays on my chest and pushes his head into my hand. Iβm in love with the way fall smells and the way leaves crunch underneath my feet. The way a sweater feels against my skin, how a cup of warm tea feels between my hands. Iβm in love with my fiancΓ© and how we donβt just act like lovers but best friends as well.
13. Whatβs your ideal summer aesthetic?
πIβve never been a huge fan of summer and Iβm terrible at describing or choosing aesthetics but, Iβm in love with early summer mornings when itβs chilly enough for a hoodie and the morning dew covers the grass. Sipping my cup of coffee with my feet in the pool as my dog curls up next to me. I miss summers at my parentsβ house.
30. What do you do to feel at peace?
πPaint, draw, something creative. Something about getting lost in my art with music blaring through my headphones makes me feel so at peace. Being outside in the morning with coffee or tea, just taking in nature also gives me so much peace. Nature walks, reading, writing, ah thereβs so much. Just stepping away from social media and the world, just taking in whatβs around me is so nice.
Thank you for the asks!! β€οΈ
some nice things
Do these purrscription glasses make my eyes look big? π€
1. Some vaccines will keep you from getting sick: measles, mumps, rubella, etc.
2. Some vaccines won't keep you from getting sick, but it will keep you from dying: COVID, flu, etc.
3. Some people can't get vaccines, or vaccines don't work for them. They are a tiny percentage of the population.
4. Side effects from vaccines are normal.
5. mRNA vaccine technology has been around for 20 years. It's not *that* new.
6. Vaccine cards have been around for a very long time. You'd know that if you traveled to certain countries, or looked it up on Google.
7. I'm getting tired of saying all this stuff to people. At this point, I don't give a flying fuck what you believe, grow the fuck up and just get your fucking vaccine and/or booster shot. But if you insist on being a selfish asshole, stay the fuck away from me.

That means:
Respect closed practices! Either go through the proper channels to be initiated or leave them alone!
Respect indigenous and diasporic cultural traditions! Many of these cultures were nearly wiped out by colonization. Respect the boundaries of what you can and canβt practice as an outsider.
Purchase crystals from reputable sources! Some crystals are mined unethically and through minimally-paid or slave labor.
Stop supporting shops and authors who appropriate from closed cultures! It should be obvious, but donβt buy dreamcatchers from a non-Native person and avoid metaphysical authors who perpetuate racist stereotypes about marginalized religions and magical traditions.
Listen to and prioritize witches of color/practitioners of color in dialogues about racism, cultural appropriation, and exotification in the magical communities.
Examine your own craft and see if you are unintentionally appropriating any cultures
Educate yourself on practices outside of your own so you donβt unintentionally invalidate or appropriation marginalized religions and spiritual practices.
