Spotted At My Local Barnes And Noble Today

My voice teacher told me to imagine that my fictional crush stepped on me.

So for those of you who are unaware, I have been taking voice lessons since my sophomore year of college. I am currently a last semester senior. I am also currently working on a piece called "Das Veilchen" by Mozart for my senior capstone.

Tl;dr the piece is about a violet and a maiden. The violet wishes that it were "the loveliest flower in nature" and that the maiden would pick it. But the maiden steps on the violet. The violet, surprisingly, rejoices at this, happy to die by the maiden's feet.

Now to the main reason why we're here.

During my lesson this past week, my voice teacher was giving me tips on how to add more emotion into the piece.

She then asked me if I had a fictional crush.

I became PETRIFIED. I have NEVER shared any info about my fictional crushes to ANYONE at my college. Hell, most of my friends don't even know (except for @cobradragon, but more on that later), LET ALONE ONE OF MY TEACHERS?

So how did I get through this?

I said yes.

But I didn't say ANYTHING ELSE. In fear of things getting worse.

And oh boy, did they get worse.

She then told me to, and I quote, "Imagine: you are the violet. Your fictional crush is the maiden."

Now, dear reader, I would like for you to imagine yourself in this situation. Tell me how you feel about sharing with your teacher that you would absolutely love to get stepped on by your fictional crush. I need to know if others would be as absolutely petrified as I would be in this situation.

Alternatively, Cobra and I are now at the suspicion that our voice teacher is a (former) tumblr user.

I've been thinking about this. What instruments would the JJK characters play???

This has been gnawing at me for the past week.

I am a music education major. I play multiple different instruments but i've been involved professionally with music for most of my life. So as I've been working in internships w/ my local orchestras, the brainrot is hitting harder and harder I need to hear y'all's opinions. What would each JJK character play??

I found a fanart of Geto playing bassoon and I. am enamored. There is nothing else he would play (other than maybe oboe. I could see him being an oboist and slaying at it.)

I can see Nanami being a pianist but not talking about it. Like it's a hobby of his that he uses to relax every evening. Imagine him with a baby grand in his apartment 🥹🥹🥹 I also feel like he would play a string instrument of some kind.

I got lots more of these brewing in my brain and I may make a completely different post in regards to this, but I need to hear y'alls thoughts. Hit me up in the comments, reposts, asks whatever. Let's have some fun with this

idk if I’ve posted about this before but by far the strangest things that’s happened to me in retail was the time someone’s total came out to my birth-year and I said “hey! that’s the year I was born!” and then the next customer’s total came out to like $12.57 and just bc I’m a weirdo I said “hey! that’s the year I was born!” and without missing a fucking beat this like, 70+ year old man said

“Ah! Another like me! We’re few and far between these days, aren’t we?”

And I was like oh man this guy’s sense of humor really aligns with mine! And I laughed and made some other joke about being immortal and thought that was the end of it,

but this man.

He stood by the register for five more minutes. Maybe more. Which let me tell you is an EXCRUTIATING amount of time for something like this to happen.

And he just kept upping the ante!! He starting talking about some REALLY specific details regarding day-to-day life in the 1300s to the point I started getting worried that I’d misled a genuinely immortal being to believe I am also immortal.

He eventually politely left when I got too busy with other customers to awkwardly respond.

Who the fuck was that guy.

*hits you with a time travel quirk*

i love thinking about bakugo getting hit with a time travel quirk and his symbolic nightmares become a very tangible and chaotic new reality. sth sth learning how to move on as a better person without letting your past and shame control you, even if it's gonna follow you for the rest of your life in one way or another.

i don't think bakugo should atone repeatedly for his childhood sins, but i also don't really agree with the sentiment that their childhood wouldn't affect their adulthood. i think a lot of their little habits (the good and the bad) were formed during their childhood and as a result of their friendship and falling out, i think sometimes that catches them off-guard in their adulthood and leads to unexpected situations that require them to manage their emotions well so it doesn't end in unjust accusations and yeah.
