Chapter 1: From home

[Monday, hotel room, noon, 5 hours till performance. Jean’s pov]

The day of performances is always the most nerve-wracking day. Yes, preforming is fun, but the fear of messing up in front of thousands can make one really nervous. I glance from my phone and watch Armin frantically going over the song list for the umpteenth time. “Hey, Armin. No need to stress yourself out okay? You’re shaking so much that you might cause an earthquake” I remark, trying to lighten his mood. Armin looked like he might faint at any moment, I can’t help but feel bad for him.

“I’m not stressed…” he lies and I quirk an eyebrow. “Uh huh. Sure, sure.” I pause before I inhale and ask “ Would you like to go over a few songs before we preform?” I ask. “Aniyo” he murmurs absent-mindedly, staring at the song list….again. “Alright, I’ll ask the others if they’d like to join. I’ll be right back. Geogi seo” I say before I leave.

I ask the others if they’d like to join and they nod in unison. “Alright, we’ll go over the encore and the hardest ones. How does that sound?” I ask. Everyone looked at each other for a brief moment before agreeing to my idea. After about half an hour of singing with the track, Armin seemed less nervous. “We should get ready. Also, try not to look sweaty before we even start” Levi states before we nod and get ready to preform.

[Monday, {name}’s car, venue of the concert, 20 minutes till performance. {name}’s pov]

This venue is super crowded. Damn. Finding parking is such a nightmare, especially at concerts like this. I didn’t think 9inety-9ine would be the same, fairly empty parking lots...man, was I wrong. After a minute, I find a parking spot and exit my car. As I enter the venue, I see a table with a giveaway where the winner gets to join them on their tour. Hmmm should I do it? I pause for a minute before saying Why not and decided to give it a shot! I fill out my information. The winner is announced by e-mail tomorrow at noon. I wonder what happens if I win?

[Monday, Venue, 10 seconds till performance. {Name}’s pov. ]

I find my seat and look around and see a good majority of the venue (myself included) holding a lightstick. I notice the lights fade to black and the stage lights up. I hear the beginning of a song as well as the screams of fangirls and guys alike. I see them on stage and smile widely. Seeing them preform is amazing! If I do win, it would be nice, I think. I continued to watch the performance, lights flashing and changing from one song to the next.

Watching concerts like these is fun! If I do meet them, I would definitely tell them that I appreciate their music and dances.

[Venue. Jean’s pov]

Preforming is loads of fun, getting to dance, sing, and making others happy is the best feeling. Ever since our trainee days, our number one goal was to create music, dances, and share it with people all over the world. Our lifelong dream has come true!

I look at the audience, waving their lightsticks and singing along, and screaming with excitement. Looking back at how much we’ve grown, it makes me smile inside. We worked so hard, and to finally preform and feel proud is the best feeling. I can’t help but think about that one day at the studio. 3 years ago on that Wednesday is a day I’ll never forget

[Flashback: Dance studio, Wednesday, 3 years ago. Jean’s pov]

“I wonder how long it will be until we finally become idols” Connie asks out loud as we take a break from our session of dancing, . “It probably won’t take too long! We’ll be on that stage soon, naneun yagsoghanda” Armin says with a reassuring smile. Connie responds with a nod and a smile “Thanks ‘Min. Maybe your prediction will be right” “Considering how hard we’ve worked, it shouldn’t be too long” Levi states before drinking some water. “I agree” I say, with a smile. “If we do become idols, it would be nice” Eren spoke with a small smile.

[End of flashback. Present day, last song before end of concert. Jean’s pov]

Our concert is finally coming to an end, the energy still sky high. We say a few words of thanks to the audience before starting our last song: From home. For the song, Armin sang in Japanese and Korean , and the rest of us just sang in Korean . Levi was the one who first came up with the idea of the song. A song that we hold dear to our heart. After the song ended, we said our thanks and bowed before heading offstage, the roaring of our fans fading as we walked to our respective green rooms.

[Tuesday, the day after the concert, noon. {name}’s pov]

There is something people call post-concert blues. The feeling you get after a concert ends. Sometimes it lasts for days, BUT weeks, or even months. It’s hard to describe. It’s a sense of something being missing, perhaps it’s loneliness. I soon hear a ding and I turn on my phone. A notification from my email.

I look at the email. My heart skips a beat. No way this could be real.

Dear {name},

Congratulations! You are one of the lucky winners who won the lottery! You get to stay with 9inety-9ine for the rest of their tour! How exiting! All your rooms and transportation are booked for you! All you need to bring is money for food, and that’s about it! The date you get to join them is tomorrow at precisely 2:00 pm! Hope to see you then!

I can’t believe it. Going on tour with them will be so fun! I can’t wait! I smile and start preparing for tomorrow. I overhear a passing of a plane outside my open, window the noise burning out the chirping of the birds. A plane. Maybe we get to travel on a plane too? I would imagine we would. How fun that would be…

Akito:

He would never admit it to you, but Akito gets really flustered any time you cling onto him in your sleep-

It's one of the main reasons why he asks you actually. Not that he doesn't like it, he just hates when you wake up and see him all flustered-

Much to his surprise, you get pretty flustered when he asks, dodging his question with a small laugh. Well, now he needs to know-

His investigation always fails...Until the day you let him hang out at your house. He discovers it rather quickly

"Hey, babe? Do you have-" He walked into your room, finding you clinging onto a plushie like a lifeline. "...Oh."

He grins, stepping closer and looking at the plushie in your hands. He takes a picture to tease you about it, but a part of him can't stop thinking about how cute you look <3

Toya:

Toya might get flustered by you clinging onto him, but he finds that it's really nice actually...You always make him feel so warm

He asks you out of pure curiosity, not wanting you to stop persay, more wanting to know just in case he's ever not there for you to cling onto

You dodge his question in response, and he just drops it because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable...

Luckily though, he gets the answer to his question when he hangs out at your house.

"Hon, are you okay?" He walked into your room, before pausing once he noticed you clinging onto a plushie, the exact same way you clung onto him. "Ah..."

He watched you sleep for a bit, before tucking you into bed properly, kissing your forehead and fixing the plushie in your hands. How adorable... <3

Tsukasa:

Tsukasa was absolutely ecstatic when he realized you cling onto him when you sleep. He loves affection, and it makes him happy any time you hug him close!

He asks you about it with a wide grin, finding the habit a cute little quirk of yours

You end up dodging his question, and he pesters you about it before huffing. Fine then, he'll find out! A future star can solve mysteries on his own!

He figures it out when you invite him to hang out, and he's ecstatic

"My favorite co-star! Are you?-" He cut himself off when he saw you clinging onto a plushie, and his eyes widened before sparkling at the sight. "Aha!"

He keeps quiet, tip-toeing up to your side to see the plushie you were clinging onto. He grins and pats your head and its head, already planning to show you his own plushies <3

Rui:

Rui absolutely melts whenever you cling onto him in your sleep. He tries to hide it, but the wide grin on his face shows it quite obviously.

He asks you about it one day to tease you, that same amused grin on his face as he asked you

You dodged his question, which made him poke and tease you even more about it. Don't worry, he's sure to find out soon...

And that he does, once he hangs out at your house one day

"Dearest, do you happen to have a screw?-" He paused once he saw you sleeping, clinging onto your plushie. "Oh my...What do we have here?"

He absolutely memorizes the plushie's look so that he can tease you about it, but he spends his time watching you with a small smile. He envies the plushie in that moment <3

Jean

I have a headcannon for this horse and his music tastes. I headcannon that Jean listens to K-pop but keeps it a secret. He doesn’t want others to know lmao. 

Akitoya headcanons (kinda based of situations that happened?)

-Akito is very into a music genre, casually sends Toya his 21+ hour long playlist. Toya doesn’t bat an eye

-Akito is very “Laberdoodle energy” while Toya is definitely the more calm one

- everyone did a collective video of them reacting to their songs being turned into a cupcakke remix. -Eren hated it, took off his headphones after 1 minute. Mans couldn’t last long. “It was kinda funny ngl”.

-Levi was just like 😐😑😐 and after the song ended, he said “Never show me that shit again” and sighed. He’s lowkey disappointed. The comments started calling him “Old man Levi“ as a joke. You can guess how that went 😅

-Armin was like 😃😀 the whole time. He’s just confused. After the video ended, he said “…what did I just hear? Is it that cupcakke trend? Sesang-e…” (Rough translation: oh my god)

- Connie and Jean were both laughing their asses off like it’s the most funniest thing in the universe, so fucking cute ngl don’t @ me, seeing them so happy is just 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Anyways, they love it!

- I can just imagine Armin is able to speak at least 3 different languages, mans is so smart. He sometimes talks in Korean when he’s nervous or making a reaction or remark. He knows a good amount of Japanese to participate in a decent conversation

- Connie and Jean are both TXT fans. Idk why, but they just give me txt vibes 😅

- Levi once cursed out a saesang and told them to “fuck off“ in Korean (imagine a fangirl but worse 😬. Saesang in a nutshell)

- Armin was caught dancing to Alcohol-free by twice and never saw the end of it. The clovers (fanbase name) now make memes out of it. And edits. Tons of edits.

- 9inety-9ine did a cover of ASAP by Stay-C and they (the girl group) praised it! Everyone was pretty happy seeing their comment, even Levi smiled a little 🥰 they replied with a thank you and praise for their work :)

- Connie loves tteo-bokki and tried to make it. He burned water on accident and had to clean the pot before Levi found out💀. He ended up asking Armin for help and it ended up tasting decent :)

- Fans asked Armin to do the “ara ara” trend during a Vlive (think twitch but for kpop idols) and it went viral 😎 ”Ara ara~ that good enough? *sees chat blowing up* wow, I’ll take that as a yes 😅”
