Okay, I started cleaning up the lineart but stopped after I finished his face and wanted to color him. He's a cutie.
Btw. That's my OC Kael.
And I found the pose somewhere as I scrolled through tumblr and I thought: that's him. I need to draw him. So I did π
How I pratice drawing things, now in a tutorial form. The shrimp photo I used is here Show me your shrimps if you do this uvuΒ PS: lots of engrish because foreignΒ
Whoop Whoop! Making another one π
I was sketching a bit and ended up with Cross! (I kind of don't like it entirely, but once drawn on paper there's no undo button π, and yeah, I was too lazy to draw hands or even consider coloring it)
Then I was thinking like, hmmm that pose sure seems familiar...
Suddenly I remembered something else I made (and didn't post here yet, whoops):
I know making that animation was PAIN. After I finished, I wanted to move it into the middle of the picture but I was only able to move it frame by frame... After I realized it, it was too late and I tried to save it but in the end that turned out quite well (especially for my first character animation)
Also: It's each time a surprise how much an art style can change. My skellie boys all just got quite taller (and I did the sketch above because I haven't drawn a sans in such a long time, that I was afraid that I unlearned how to. But it's like riding a bike π)
Cross belongs to @jakei95
Me trying to get adjusted with my new markers π
And little sneak peak on my next piece.
Lineart is already done but I'm too afraid to color it so I did the sketch above.
Also, this dude's name is Decay (at least for now. I am currently in a phase of overhauling all my ocs from this story and he might also get a new name as the others because I was back then just lazy picking them.)
His arm dissolves stuff, if the name didn't alteady tell π
I also drew a Shoto Todoroki:
Trying to figure out my style and lately finally managed to play through Tears of the Kingdom, so I wanted to draw Zeldaπ
Lately, I have been annoyed with how I draw faces, so I figured, I try something new and actually LEARN anatomy instead of drawing what I think it looks like. (I mean, that method worked until now, and if I could travel back in time, I wouldn't change my approach to learning to draw. The most important is having fun, am I right?)
By now, I only figured out two directions (and some in between) but it's interesting to finally understand how the face is supposed to work. Additionally, it helps with shading. I still didn't quite get the area for the eyes but I also have some other perspectives to learn to draw, so I might figure it out as I continue.
Thought I might share this over here and next up will be facing down, left and right. I also still need to find a way to adapt it to my style. But for now, I am pretty proud of these π
I am currently working on a little something which I'm not sure if I'll manage to make something out of it but I'm motivated to continue.
I wanted to maybe make a one-paged small teensy tiny comic about one of my OCs. Currently, I am still working on their designs and hopefully I'll get something done this time, but I'm confident π
PS: I am also currently amazed by animation again. I'll keep training a little and then I can share something with you.
(I am also trying to post more often, but let's see how that'll turn out π)
I drew superspeed a little friend, so they could cause havoc together.
And I used markers for this one (except the skin because I don't have the right colors.)
I also don't have a name for him but this sweet guy admires Edgeshot and straves to become one of the top ten heroes, just as him.
I don't have a name for his quirk as well, but he can create force fields and absorb physical force. Then he can release all of the force he collected. That also works with quirks but he can only absorb one quirk-impact at a time and needs to release it before being able to absorb another quirk-impact. (And with quirk-impact I mean something like a wall of ice hitting the force field.)
And for just trying out to draw with markers again this turned out pretty cool. I remember the last time I tried that I got frustrated as I colored in the skin and the character started to look like an orange. But this blend of pencils and markers feels nice. Not spending an entire day on a drawing and getting vibrant colors.
