Hey, so the character animation in Soul Eater was really fucking beautiful.

[MHA / MLP] The similarities between Izuku Midoriya and Twilight Sparkle...

I NEED YOU GUYS TO STICK WITH ME, OKAY? OKAY.

So, besides being some of my favorite main characters in animated television, they both have weirdly similar stories (it might be some trope I'm unaware of? I don't know). One of the BIGGEST similarities is their mentors, who are (or were) seen by society as THE symbol. Celestia is THE princess of Equestria. All Might is THE symbol of hope-- they're untouchable.

Obviously, as the show moves on, those things are proven to be false (Celestia needs Twilight to save her a bunch and All Might reveals to Deku that he's lowkey dying).

However, that doesn't stop Twilight or Deku from looking up to their mentors and being huge nerds about them T-T (they're so cute)

Plus, towards the end of the show, it's the mentors who end up looking towards the mentees.

The characters who thought that they couldn't do anything (Twilight knew nothing about friendship and Deku didn't even have a quirk) turn into masters in their fields AND they inspire the next generations.

And Deku and Twilight both end up being teachers, at least for a bit.

things i love in books:

imperfect grammar in dialogue - my grammar isn’t always fantastic when I’m talking to someone. sometimes seeing little grammar mistakes in character dialogue makes it feel more real. 

character ticks - characters who have a chronic cough, or who have a bad habit of chewing their nails, or popping their knuckles. It fleshes them out.

characters with actual passions - I love seeing a character get really excited about something they are passionate about. And when another character shuts them down on that subject it’s heart breaking. I can totally relate.

puns and stupid jokes in first person narration - don’t tell me you’ve never made a little joke to yourself and then laughed at it. I think it’s cute. 

random easter eggs in books - an author’s favorite recipe, a trivia fact that they’re throwing in just because, things that may relate to the plot but are also an extra little surprise for the reader. 

newspaper clippings / articles - i just think they’re neat..

surprise handwriting (ex: on a note mentioned in the text or something) - i’ve only seen it in a few books. it makes finding a random note or something easier to imagine. Makes it a little more real. 

platonic character relationships - i just really think they’re neat too. 

[MHA / LoZ / Saiki K / JJK / Danganronpa] So many fandoms, so little time...

I actually drew these a while ago (like a month ago) and am not super happy with all of them, BUT I do like how I drew some of them so I'm gonna post it.

Maybe it'll help some people get to know me better? I'm definitely gonna draw more of these characters/fandoms in the future except for maybe Danganronpa characters lol
