Rhiannon tilted her head slightly, watching the way he worried at his cuticles, the way his shoulders stayed tense even as he tried to settle against the wall. She didn’t judge his answer—just took it in, like she was tucking it away somewhere safe. “Maybe they don’t like talking to you. Or maybe they just don’t know how -- but that’s their problem, not yours.”
At his question, she exhaled slowly, turning her gaze toward the yard. “I walk,” she said after a moment. “Barefoot, mostly. The colder, the better. It makes my head feel… quieter-- like all the noise gets pressed down into the earth.”
She stretched one foot out, pressing her toes lightly against the wood as if proving her point. “If that doesn’t work, I count things. Patterns in the ceiling. The way people blink. The stars, if I can see them.” A pause, then a quiet, almost absentminded addition: “And if that doesn’t work… I try to let it go until it burns itself out.” She made it sound easy, but it was rare that it ever burned itself out. Her thoughts and anxiety got the better of her most days, but the things she mentioned did help ease things for her.
There was a gentle comfort that came from having someone understanding him, it was a rare thing for him to encounter. Even his father couldn't fully understand him. Kit pushed his glasses up his nose and tried to make himself more comfortable against the wall. Of course that was proving to be impossible with the thumping of the music from inside, he could even hear the occasional loud eruption of cheers over whatever song was being played. He thought momentarily of leaving and going home to some peace and quiet but thought that would be rude considering he was in the middle of a conversation.
Kit brought his his thumb to his lips and began picking at his cuticles absent-mindedly. Whenever he felt like he was out of control he would chew on his cuticles, his therapist had said it was so he could feel in control but Kit thought that was a ludicrous reasoning because simply put it didn't make him feel even the slightest bit in control of everything, it was just another action his mind was racing over. He nodded to her sentence in agreement. "My own students don't like talking to me, they think a teacher is supposed to be more sociable with his students but I can't bring myself to want to do that." He confessed. He found it weird that he was telling a stranger all of this, believing that his mind is wiring this to be some type of genuine connection.
Kit considered her question for a moment before responding. "I have to numb it, marijuana is the only thing that does that." Truthfully he'd become pretty dependent on the drug despite doing his best not to. He didn't want to be addicted to it but when he is lying awake at three am and there is no sign of sleep in sight he will do what he has to in order for some type of relief. If his students, father, or anyone who lived around him smelled it's typical smell then they chose to say nothing. "And you?" He asked, looking at her again. "If your mind is anything like mine then you must have a way to quiet it."
Teddie's voice, a mere whisper against the pounding of her own heart, trembled as she spoke. "Seb, I'm so sorry. I didn't know where else to go." Her eyes welled up with tears as she met his gaze. "He... he hit me again. I couldn't take it anymore." The words escaped her lips in a choked torrent, each syllable a testament to the fear and desperation that had driven her to his doorstep. Her body shook as she instinctively wrapped her arms around herself, needing some sort of comfort.
banging on his door this late in the evening was unexpected - sebastian didn't often have much company none the less so late. rolling out of bed he rubs his hands over his face and opens the door to see the other standing before him. "everything okay?" he asked looking them over. // @littledaydreamers
A low chuckle rumbled in his chest as he felt her trembling again, her body betraying her no matter how hard she tried to fight it. “Fuck, Pia,” he murmured, his voice thick with amusement, but there was something else there too—something more satisfied. “So sensitive.”
He watched her struggle to keep quiet, the way she bit her lip so hard it had to hurt. Like she actually thought she could control it. Like she thought he wouldn’t notice the way her body tightened around him, how she was already so far gone again.
Kai's hands slid over her thighs, slow and deliberate, just to feel the way she shuddered under his touch. “You’re really trying, huh?” he teased, fingers brushing up her spine before gripping her waist, keeping her exactly where he wanted her. “But I can still hear you.” His grip softened as she trembled against him, his fingers still stroking her gently, drawing out every last aftershock until she finally slumped forward, breathless, still pressed so perfectly into his lap like she wasn’t planning on moving any time soon.
well it was a good thing that no one could hear her, because with the way she felt so sensitive that they'd been together moments prior it didn't take long before she felt her legs trembling again. knowing exactly how to torment her at her most sensitive areas was a little unfair because she was desperate to feel that eruption again.
so she worked with him, angling her arm above the seat to have a better grip and it was a matter of seconds before she felt it again. this time it felt even better and came on so swiftly she felt her whole body contract with tingles.
she was sinking her teeth into her lower lip as to stop the flow of moans that were trying desperately to escape and eventually a few did slip when she wasn't focused so hard on it.
god, now she felt even more embarassed how she was just so needy for him seconds before. how she was still happily in his lap like he was going to tend to her every need all evening.
Kai watched as she pulled away, the warmth of her body slipping from his lap, leaving behind only the ghost of her touch and the scent of vanilla and musk clinging to his skin. His jaw tensed, eyes dark as he leaned back against the seat, taking her in—the way she hurried to fix her clothes, the slight tremble in her fingers, the way she refused to meet his gaze.
She was running. He could see it, clear as day.
A slow smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, but it wasn’t just smug amusement—it was something deeper, something raw that he wasn’t about to name. Instead, he let his eyes roam over her one last time, committing every flushed inch of her to memory.
“Right,” he said finally, voice rough with lingering satisfaction, but there was something unreadable beneath it. He ran a hand through his already messy hair, exhaling sharply. “Guess this is where we pretend like none of it happened.”
Kai let out a low chuckle, finally redressing before reaching for his jacket, shrugging it back on like none of this had phased him. Like he hadn’t just been inside her, watching her unravel around him. "I don't need Carter taking me anywhere. I can make my own way back, thanks."
“Sweet dreams, Pia,” he murmured, voice dripping with something close to a challenge. “Try not to think about me too much.” And with that, he pushed open the car door and stepped out into the night.
there was a screech of the wheels came to a halt. she only just realised how long they had been circling the city and wasting time. of course there was every reason she had lost track of the minutes that went by considering she was tangled up in kai.
his scent was intoxicating, the lingering smell of cigarettes and liquor mixed with his cologne, now that she was in close proximity to him she could breathe in all in.
there were too many things about him that drove her absolutely insane, but apparently that feeling was addictive. "miss geller we are at the estate." she went quiet for a moment, and now she had a definitive reason to move herself off of him.
lifting herself up off his lap she looked away for w moment. she'd wanted him more than she'd ever wanted anyone before and that was the problem. the few layers of clothing she had on her body she was swift to return and maintain her somewhat presentable appearance not like she'd just been pleasured in the backseat of the town car. "well.. this is me..carter can take you wherever you need to go."
This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this - please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-” etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction
"Of course, it isn't," Nadia replied, rolling her eyes. "I'd be pretty crap at my job if it was." She held her hand up, admiring the crimson red staining it. "Pretty, isn't it? There's no other red quite like the colour of blood."
open to anyone! muse: amar 'ozzy' oza, wanderer / musician. age 29-32.

“I’d think twice about releasing me. That is if you had any intention of keeping your hand” Kennedy hissed her threat to the stranger as she attempted to loosen his grip on her whilst trying not to draw attention to them. Her hand drifted to her hip where her small blade was usually hidden, only to find it missing and her heart to lurch. She had only wanted to have a quiet drink, hoping to over hear any information on the new arrivals, though this time it appeared that she had made the mistake of listening in on the wrong people and they hadn’t been as drunk and unobservant as she had originally thought.
Theodosia didn’t often get involved in other people’s problems, but she’d grown warm to Kennedy, and so when she saw a man grab her, she found herself rising to her feet and storming over to the pair. She had given Kennedy a small blade to keep on her person at all times. Men around Nassau couldn’t be trusted - well, men anywhere couldn’t be trusted in Theo’s opinion - and so she was surprised to find the young woman hadn’t had it on her person. Luckily for the redhead, Theodosia had hers, and it was currently pricking the male’s lower back. “Do we have a problem here, sir?”

It was the aftermath of another shift, and it had been a rough one. Quinn had lost two patients in the matter of 12 hours. He'd come home exhausted, both physically and mentally. All the other had done was show concern and yet a screaming match had happened. She’d locked herself in the bedroom while he’d gone to have a cigarette. A few hours had passed when he went back inside, finally hearing the bedroom door open. “I was out of line,” he muttered. “Sorry, I’m so hard to deal with sometimes. I don’t mean to be.”
Kai had been halfway to stepping away when he felt the tug on his wrist, her fingers wrapping around him in a way that was hesitant but firm, like she wasn’t entirely sure she should be doing this—but couldn’t stop herself either.
He turned, his gaze flicking down to where she held him before sliding up to meet hers. She was standing now, still slightly breathless, her hair a mess from their time in the car, lips still red and swollen from his. And fuck, the way she was looking at him—like she was fighting every instinct screaming at her to let him go but couldn’t bring herself to do it.
His smirk was slow and lazy, the kind that held a promise of trouble. “A hot tub, huh?” His voice was low, teasing, but his eyes were sharp, searching. She was trying to play it casual, like this wasn’t a plea for him to stay—like it was just an offer, no big deal. But he saw through it.
His free hand slid into his pocket, head tilting slightly as he watched her. “So let me get this straight,” he murmured, stepping closer and closing the space between them again as he leaned against the car. “You want me to stay, get in the hot tub with you, eat takeout at one in the morning…” His smirk deepened, gaze flickering over her face, lingering on her lips.
After a moment, he gave a small chuckle, shaking his head slightly like he was amused with her. “Alright, Princess,” he finally said, voice full of that same cocky, knowing amusement. “Lead the way.”
it took a matter of seconds where panic set in. where she saw him leaving and it's almost like she couldn't let it happen, have him away from her for too long. she was glad her father wasn't home because she was sure that he would raise hell with her bringing kai back, but she leant forward to this time catch his wrist instead of the other way around. "wait.. kai."
she shifted herself to the edge of the seat as the door was still open then slowly rose to be opposite him, still having a tender grip on him. "if we aren't going to do it again might as well make a night of it? i have a hot tub.." she raised an eyebrow at him though there was this pang of worry and insecurity that he was going to turn her down.
"unless you have plans at almost 1am? but i'm intending on ordering take out and having a dip..so.. the choice in there for you." at she realised instead of them being scrunched up in a compromising position in the back seat he'd actually be able to see all of her.
Spencer gave a shrug not wanting to make a big deal out of the situation, he hated conflict and he'd had enough of it for one night. "What was I meant to do, say no?" He retorted not quite meeting Miguel's eyes, he could already tell he was pissed and he hadn't even told him the full story.
