Hello!

Hello!

Hello, everyone! You guys can call me Persephone, and I use she/her pronouns <3. I'm a writer and artist with a very unhealthy sleep schedule. I love psychology with all my heart, and I'm working on being more in tune with myself spiritually and emotionally (because self-improvement is always fun). I write books, poetry, and funny little drabbles and draw various things (usually relating to the fandoms I'm in or for commissions). I also make jewelry and stickers.

I love Greek mythology and anything science. I'm currently part of the Sky: CotL, Epic, The Cruel Prince, Over the Garden Wall, and Hadestown fandoms. There's probably more XD. I love reading and musicals.

I am very strongly anti gen AI when it comes to any art form.

This blog with be a strange compilation of literally everything and have no structure whatsoever so… just a heads up <3

Feel free to ask me things! I shall answer. My ask box is open <3

Fictional Kiss Prompts

When one of them pulls away, breathless, and whispers, “If I kiss you again, I won’t be able to stop.”

the “we shouldn’t be doing this” kiss that still happens anyway—and keeps happening.

the kiss that happens mid-argument, furious and messy, teeth and heat and unsaid apologies.

a kiss right before one of them leaves for something dangerous—“come back to me” heavy in the silence.

a surprise kiss during laughter, when one just can’t help it anymore and finally caves.

the kind of kiss that starts slow… but one hand moves to the back of the neck and it changes everything.

a desperate kiss in the rain, soaked and shaking, not sure if it’s joy or grief or both.

a forehead-to-forehead moment, eyes closed, and a soft kiss that’s more “thank you for staying” than anything else.

the silent kiss where words would ruin it, where they know and don’t need to say a damn thing.

the kiss after a long time apart, full of how dare you leave me and I missed you every second all at once.

I love talking with neurotypical people about my executive dysfunction because I'm like "yeah there's this invisible wall in my head that I'm incapable of getting past no matter what I do and it stops me from doing things" and they're like what the actual fuck

Meanwhile other neurodivergents are like

hey if you're the type of writer that's like me where you tend to write specific scenes first that vaguely weave together into a plot, you might like using obsidian as a writing app.

my frustration with other writing applications is that i will write my scenes out of order and it's hard to move things around and rearrange them on a regular document.

but with obsidian there's this canvas feature where you can just write all your scenes and plot moments on these little cards that you can freely rearrange. you can color code them and connect them too.

here's the canvas i've created for my current multi-chapter fic: (if you zoom in you can see all the text in each card this what it looks like zoomed out)

Hey If You're The Type Of Writer That's Like Me Where You Tend To Write Specific Scenes First That Vaguely

as you can see, i color code them based off chapters and will group them next to a document card with the working title of the chapter. anything not color-coded are scenes that don't have a proper place quite yet or it's just world building references. this app can also be good for note-taking and collecting research!

best of all, it's FREE!!! the only downside is that if you want your stuff to sync across devices, you do have to pay for that. i constantly hop between my laptop and desktop so i pay for the syncing. but if you write on only one device it's completely free! EDIT: some reblogs have mentioned that you can apparently link your own personal cloud storage (dropbox, gdrive, icloud, etc.) to obsidian for free! that way you can access your obsidian vaults across multiple devices without the extra fee. i don't mind supporting the devs but just something to look into if costs is a concern.

i typically use it for organizing my thoughts for a first draft. once i get all the scenes arranged and mostly written out, i will copy and paste them into ellipsus (also free & highly recommended as a google doc alternative) so that they're all in one document that i can edit.

Hello! Uh, I have a character who's kind of co-dependent on their partner but, I'm not sure how to show it in my writing. Do you have any suggestions for signs of co-dependency?

Hi :)

Signs of Co-dependency

always waiting for the other person before doing anything

not recognizing each other's boundaries and not enforcing boundaries

having low self-esteem

feeling the need to be of service to the other person

struggling with their self-image and self-worth

making excuses for their partner

being self-sacrificing

needing their partner's approval

avoiding conflict, taking on blame

failing at proper communication

minimizing or ignoring their own wants

doing things to make their partner happy

asking for permission

fear of rejection or abandonment

guilt over doing something "selfish" (for themself)

making themself uncomfortable for other's comfort

Hope this helps!

If I was desperate for kudos I would not be out here posting villain ships, minor character rarepairs, and other deeply unpopular ships.

I know how to write popular fic. I know how to farm kudos. That's not what I'm here for.

"Readers need to remember that authors don't know a reader liked their fic unless the reader tells them by leaving a kudos or a comment" does not mean "waahhh waahhh I need attention!"

It means "even if writers write purely for themselves, if you don't bother to interact with writers when you do enjoy their work, they might stop posting and just keep their work to themselves."

"If you enjoy a work you should kudos or comment" is not aimed at the people who aren't reading the fanfiction in question.

"If you enjoy a work you should kudos or comment" is not aimed at the people who did not enjoy the fanfiction in question.

"If you enjoy a work you should kudos or comment" is aimed at people who read a fanfiction, enjoyed it, and then didn't bother to even do the bare minimum to share their excitement about it with the work's creator, even though that excitement is literally the only thing they get in return for posting their work.

Fanfiction authors write because they enjoy writing. They post because they want to form a connection with the people who enjoyed their work.

This is not an attempt to scold anyone, I literally don't care if I get kudos or not. It's simply an attempt to remind people that fanfiction is a community, and fan authors can't read your mind.
