i was all in my mind.

On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.

On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.

Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.

Siraj Abudayeh @siraj2024 is a Gazan journalist and a father of three.

He and his family have been displaced 7 times.

They have survived multiple recent massacres in Khan Yunis.

They live in a tent that feels like a "convection oven".

He can hear tank fire across the street.

His parents and siblings escaped Deir al-Balah and are now homeless; he has to care for them too.

He needs to raise $5,000 CAD / $3653 USD by the end of the day.

He's probably gotten a hundred thousand notes on his posts at this point.

This has been meaningless. His campaign moves at a glacial pace.

The Palestinian genocide is the fault of the US, UK, Israel, and the imperial core in general.

When we in the imperial core do not donate to people like him, we perpetuate the genocide.

These three have been facing difficulties in their lives, you see what started as a warm living family sweeping through neighborhoods like a tornado of showering blades; is now a broken home full of animosity as they find new and invigorating ways to kill each other. No family is without their problems. While on the outside, they are as "normal" as they can be, on the inside, there is rising tension. Starting with the daughter, she started off early in life trying to imitate her father but as she grew, no holds the same hatred her mother does towards him. No one knows how Jane and Jeff got married, much less had a child but sources say it was hate at first sight. Jeff has taken to drinking and coming home late with blood on him while Jane chain smokes and constantly has some type of human body parts in the fridge.

She states, "Unlike my husband, I actually keep my kills clean." "Stop complaining about my habits woman! You're not my mother! But sometimes I wish you were 'cause she's six feet underground!" The daughter states, "I wish he was dead." "That's my girl." "Who raised you?!" "I did 'cause you're never around!"
