everybody say thank you @endureher for requesting a full fic of gamer!ellie. honestly i’m not 100% comfortable writing with ‘you’ yet as i’m more of a connoisseur for oc stories so here’s a one shot to start it up

in which ellie finally tells the world your hers

you and ellie had been dating for eleven months and it had been the best eleven months of both your lives. you shared a passion for entertainment, while you write poems and stories, ellie played games and streamed to thousands of people

her stream knew she wasn’t single, small slip ups every now and then. the door randomly opening and a black kitten prancing through the slit just for the door to close again

or whenever someone asked about her day and she may or may not have told them about her date with a very pretty lady.

ellie knew she wanted her fans to know her partner and what better way than to stream with you. the starting soon screen staring back at the two of you as you sat in front of the screens

playing sims with a special guest

that was the stream title, ellie usually had guest on her stream. whether it was her best friends dina and jesse in person or people she met online through the mic. it was rare for ellie to do a lone stream

so, when the clock on her desk turned 6pm, the girl started up the stream. her hand carefully placed on your thigh as you both welcome the viewers.

many people already knew who you were, enjoying your poetry books or romance novels (that just so happened to be proudly presented in the background of ellie’s stream at all time).

ellie introduced you, saying how exciting it was to have such an aspiring writer on her stream. around ten minutes into the livestream, you both finally started playing. mutually agreeing to make each others characters. you made ellie’s and she made yours.

however, what the stream wasn’t expecting was ellie to change the relationship of the two sims characters to ‘married’. everyone took note of the way you smiled with a roll of you eyes, your own arm bumping into your girlfriends

“oh did i forget to mention that y/n is my girlfriend?” ellie asked nonchalantly, the chat going absolutely crazy as you two just smiled.

you played for just under two hours, creating a beautiful home and living a wonderful life. it’s safe to say chat managed to make some beautiful edits of you both and everyone swooned over both yours and ellies instagram posts.

ellie is very adamant on set date nights as if, for some reason, something comes up and you can’t do it that night you best believe it’s happening the next day

nights in with ellie are the best, laying in each others arms basking in the silence

either that or she’s strumming at the guitar that’s home is beside your bed

if your a sociable person, your often throwing small get-togethers at your place. ellie doesn’t exactly like them, prefers sticking to her small group, but she loves seeing you all dolled up

if you are throwing one, she is stuck to your side the entire night (and you have a party of your own in the morning whilst cleaning. music and drinks included)

however if your not a sociable person. you throw small hang-out. you, ellie, jesse, dina and jj, joel and tommy. drinks passed between you with a movie playing in the background.

these types of nights end with everyone crashing overnight

if you both want a kid, you get one from jackson. there was always kids abandoned on the gates of the town.

it took over an hour of convincing on ellie’s part for you to not bring them all into your home.

sorry it took so long love, been busy getting drunk and stuff lmao (i’m picturing ellie as 17/18 in this however i’ve left out specific ages so imagine however old you want)

you were travelling with your sibling when you stumbled across jackson. believe it or not but it wasn’t your original destination, your younger sibling didn’t do well with new people and in jackson, there’s a lot of them

however, two men called tommy and joel found you wandering the areas and invited you for food (you hadn’t eaten in days so you hastily agreed)

when you got there, you didn’t expect to love it as much as you did. even your sibling had made a friend within the first hour of being there.

when you met maria, she offered to give you a tour of the town. quickly checking on your sibling (who was perfectly content playing in the playground with other kids) maria took you around jackson

and god when you saw her, it was like the world stopped turning.

not surprisingly, the same happened for her too.

you were a hot mess; hair pulled into a ponytail, clothes ripped and muddy and the beat up converse on your feet were practically fallen apart. plus the scars that littered your bare arms and face where doing something for her.

she was with dina and jesse when you walked by with maria, the older woman briefly introducing you to them. she told you there names and told them yours before she continued showing you around

it’s safe to say that once you gave ellie that welcoming smile she was smitten

jesse and dina were relentless in teasing the girl.

after a year in jackson

you had gotten a lot closer to dina and jesse. so close you’d probably call them your best friends but ellie? well she usually avoided you

you weren’t sure why but dina told you she just didn’t do well around new people. come on now, you weren’t new anymore

the real reason? she couldn’t go two seconds without getting flustered and stuttering and probably blurting out the truth

so what better way than to BEG maria to place you on patrol with the girl

any luckily, she agreed. you were a strong fighter especially with a bow and ellie was good with a gun and her knife.

ellie said not one word to you the majority of the time. only brief words of directions. it was on your way back when you stopped your horse, tied her to a tree and just stood there. when ellie realised you weren’t following she turned the horse around and went back over to you

“do you not like me or something”

“what?” ellie was shocked at your question

“you never fucking pay attention to me ellie. it’s all i’ve fucking wanted”
