everybody say thank you @endureher for requesting a full fic of gamer!ellie. honestly i’m not 100% comfortable writing with ‘you’ yet as i’m more of a connoisseur for oc stories so here’s a one shot to start it up

in which ellie finally tells the world your hers

you and ellie had been dating for eleven months and it had been the best eleven months of both your lives. you shared a passion for entertainment, while you write poems and stories, ellie played games and streamed to thousands of people

her stream knew she wasn’t single, small slip ups every now and then. the door randomly opening and a black kitten prancing through the slit just for the door to close again

or whenever someone asked about her day and she may or may not have told them about her date with a very pretty lady.

ellie knew she wanted her fans to know her partner and what better way than to stream with you. the starting soon screen staring back at the two of you as you sat in front of the screens

playing sims with a special guest

that was the stream title, ellie usually had guest on her stream. whether it was her best friends dina and jesse in person or people she met online through the mic. it was rare for ellie to do a lone stream

so, when the clock on her desk turned 6pm, the girl started up the stream. her hand carefully placed on your thigh as you both welcome the viewers.

many people already knew who you were, enjoying your poetry books or romance novels (that just so happened to be proudly presented in the background of ellie’s stream at all time).

ellie introduced you, saying how exciting it was to have such an aspiring writer on her stream. around ten minutes into the livestream, you both finally started playing. mutually agreeing to make each others characters. you made ellie’s and she made yours.

however, what the stream wasn’t expecting was ellie to change the relationship of the two sims characters to ‘married’. everyone took note of the way you smiled with a roll of you eyes, your own arm bumping into your girlfriends

“oh did i forget to mention that y/n is my girlfriend?” ellie asked nonchalantly, the chat going absolutely crazy as you two just smiled.

you played for just under two hours, creating a beautiful home and living a wonderful life. it’s safe to say chat managed to make some beautiful edits of you both and everyone swooned over both yours and ellies instagram posts.

PDA wasn’t something ellie was into before you but the second you made it official it was holding hands down the streets, kissing each other goodbye no matter who was around and ellie’s personal favourite, hand on your arse in a public space.

everyone would be fed up of ellie within a week of you two dating. the way she goes on and on about you is endearing but annoying

you where the princess, next in line for throne. your father the king and a great one at that

ellie, for the past two years, had been your knight. she started working for the king when she was sixteen and on your eighteenth birthday was placed as your personal guard.

she stood guard of you room for the first half of the knight, making sure no one was able to come in whilst you slept peacefully

although, the more time you spent around her, whether it was going on a walk because you were bored or travelling to nearby towns to listen to your dad speak, the closer you got to her.

instead of going to bed at nine, you would stay awake for hours. sat on the floor in your pretty little nightgown, chatting away about the adventures she had been on (she refused to leave her post, just in case)

sometimes, the two of you would speak through your door if she took the morning shift. talking away whilst your maid helped you change into the dress they wanted you in

knight!ellie would watch in disgust as your father lined up your potential suitors. the men (and ellie) unknowing that you where gay.

at the end of the night, when you where supposed to be in bed and ellie was on patrol, you’d drag her into your room and slam the door behind her. ranting on and on about how disgusting the men where

it would be that night that ellie finds out your gay. letting it slip at the end with a quick “i don’t even like men!”.

she would feel the world stop as you broke down, falling into her chest as you wrapped your arms around her. ellie would, reluctantly hold you. scared you would crumble under her touch.

after that night, you would make any excuses to spend time with ellie alone. walking around the grounds, going horseback riding, getting her to teach you archery (your father wasn’t fond of the last one but was glad you were learning how to defend yourself)

eventually, you’d start sneaking to the town ellie lived in when she wasnt at the castle (which wasn’t often) you’d end up in the tavern where ellie coincidentally was.

she’d be adamant on getting you home but after some persuasion, you ended up with a drink in your hand and dancing around with the locals.

at some point in the night, you had managed to convince ellie to dance with you. your hand in hers and the other on her shoulder whilst her other hand held your waist. you swayed and she spam you

eventually, you had given up dancing properly. your arms around her neck whilst hers fell around your waist. your foreheads pressed together

“thank you for looking after me ellie” “it’s my job princess” “job… yeah”

you knew she meant well but hearing that she only looked after you for a job hurt you more than it should

after the night in the tavern, you distanced yourself. whenever ellie asked if you wanted an archery lesson or to go for a walk, you would deny it. saying you had reading or lessons to do

ellie would have had enough of the messing about and one night when she was finishing her shift, she’d storm inside your room to see you up and reading a book in the moonlight

“you’ve been avoiding me” “i don’t think i have ellie” “why!”

she’d be so persistent on getting an answer from you, you’d put your book down and stand up. stopping right in front of her face

“i get it’s your job to care about me but i really fucking wish it wasn’t” “what do you mean” “your so oblivious”

you, too, had enough playing around and instead just took her face in your hands and placed a kiss on her lips

“you just… you kissed me” “and i really want to do it again”

and you did, this time however ellie’s hands fell onto your hips. the two of you stumbling towards your bed, ellie falling backwards whilst you straddled her legs. the kiss unbroken

you had an eventful night, sweaty body’s and passionate kisses. it was cut short though, since ellie had to leave before anyone found you both.

the day after that, you demanded your father to allow ellie to be your suitor. you explained that you really liked her, your father was a bit shocked at first (and so was all the other workers in the dining hall) but was quick to compose himself.

it took a small amount of persuasion but you were soon in a carriage to the village ellie lived in with your father. civilians watching as you drove by, you knocked on ellie’s door with a smile

it was safe to say that the next next in line for throne would be the first in history to have a woman on her arm

you arrived at jackson the day after ellie’s 18th birthday. all the younger lot of the town still in bed when you turned up covered in splattered blood and your hands trembling

maria cleaned you up, introduced you to many of the jackson residents and set you up in a small cabin. you told her your story and she took pity in you, only a few months into being 18 and loosing everything and everyone you had ever known.

it was later on in that day when you where introduced to the younger generation of jackson

you where nervous going for lunch. settled comfortably in your small living space but nervous to be around so many unfamiliar faces

dressed in a pair of jeans that maria had brought to you and a slightly cropped red t-shirt, you stuck your trusty knife into your pocket and headed to the dining hall.

maria greeted you with a plate of food before instructing you to follow her. you where led to a group of three sat in the corner of the hall

that was the moment you met ellie williams. a girl that became a rather prominent figure in your life.

you got close to ellie, dina and jesse. figuring out you lived within a two minute walk from each other led to many sleepovers and movie nights.

it often ended with you and ellie alone, jesse and dina leaving earlier that night for specific reasons.

ellie, in these moments, would be very quite until you spoke to her. her face shaded red when you looked her way

“i like your tattoo” you’d tell her only to get a stuttered out reply “i um- wow okay thank you? uh yeah i drew it myself”

the first time you held her hand, she swore the world stopped spinning for a moment. you, ellie, jesse and dina had all decided to go on a walk, jesse and dona screaming 80’s music while the two of you strayed behind them.

you’d admire the landscape, spotting the mountains that you came from when you first arrived all them months ago.

the song jesse and dina where yelling put you in a good mood, turning your head towards ellie with a smiled and intertwining your fingers with hers, swinging your arms between you both

ellie would be stunned, so much so that she literally forgot to walk leading you to pull her along until she regained composure.

when dina notices, she sends ellie a wink who blushes a deep red and flips the girl off.

eventually inviting ellie for a sleepover on her own after a long patrol. the only upside being that you had found eugenes stash and brought a jar of pre rolled joints home.

the two of you had smoked one each, your cabin foggy with smoke and music was on in the background.

feeling all giggly, you stood up and reached for ellie’s hand, pulling her onto her feet. the two of you in pyjamas. ellie in boxers and a white t-shirt while you where in underwear and an extremely oversized band shirt.

you turned the music louder and pulled ellie closer, the two of you falling into a sway. your arms over her shoulders while hers where gently placed on your waist, her head falling into your shoulder so you couldn’t see her cheeks dusted pink.

“els” “yeah” “it might just be the weed but are you blushing right now?”

to say she would be embarrassed would be an understatement until…

“it’s cute, real cute. your cute”

ellie’s heart skipped a motherfucking beat. lifting her head up. your faces so close together that you could feel her breath on your face

“don’t say that” “why not? it’s not exactly a secret ellie. i don’t hide my attraction to you”

ellie would be extremely conflicted with your confession. on one hand she was thrilled, over the moon. she had liked you for so long and to know you felt the same way?? it’s just a miracle
