For the first time in this lifetime, i felt miles of distance and an inch away closeness, in the same moment. Your mere words were enough to clutch my heart & make it bleed. You opened the gates with a volcanic force, slit my heart & went away in the morning light, and i longed just for another sight.

Sa‘id ‘Aql, tr. by Matthew Sorenson and Naomi Shihab Nye, from Modern Arabic Poetry: an anthology; “The Book of Roses”
"We have a choice. We can embrace our humanness, which means embracing our broken natures and the compassion that remains our best hope for healing. Or we can deny our brokenness, forswear compassion, and, as a result, deny our own humanity"
Bryan Stevenson
You glow bright and then fade away, like a dream at night meaning nothing when it's day.

In a mood to dissolve in tranquility of the Earth, to get away from the madness and chaos and just breathe freely. In a mood to surrender to love and all its limitlessness. In a mood to bathe in the warmth of the sunny air.

In the echoes of my being reside the shattered pieces of yesterday, yearnings of today, and curiosity of tomorrow. In the lonely existence of this moment, the echoes get louder in the vacuum of my brain.

I hope you see my soul,
before you feel my touch.
I hope you seek,
with curious eyes.
We can go on a quest together,
to dig deeper into each other's souls.
The deeper i dig, the more i find about the hidden hamlets
in our soul fields.
I hope our souls are each other's last dream.

P.S i love this picture by @marinalaurel 💛
Constantly pulled between what we've been taught, what we know and what we feel.
I tried to asseverate
the state of my heart,
I asked you to be gentle with it,
but you intervened,
tugged me close,
and kissed me mad.
Now I bleed your name
and your sight is out of reach.
I spend my days looking for the moon in the broad daylight.
I've lost all sense of clarity.
You should've let me complete my sentence,
before you kissed me,
because now you cannot kiss me without tasting your name on my lips.
