here's a little news: they've cut off our internet connection like they did 3 years ago when the entire Bloody Aban situation was going on, and I'm one of the few lucky people with a tiny bit of access to come on here and literally BEG you to spread the word. people are on the streets getting killed. a 10 year old girl was shot, several teens are dead. women are being shamelessly fucking beaten (in Mahsa's case, to DEATH) by the same people who cry over historic islamic women being tortured or misbehaved a thousand years ago. do not stay silent.
Art and Sylvie are taking no shit
Anyone know when part two of Titans season four comes out?
The most insane thing is how the fans who see nothing wrong with the ending is trying to tell those who do to rewatch the karate kid movies…like I think you guys need to take your own advice.
Oh God…so listen,
The majority of the Cobra Kai fandom are incels that view masculinity with aggression and “bad ass” fight choreographies and the idea of Cobra Kai provides them that therefore their and the writers favoritism. They don’t care about how an ending that praises Cobra Kai contradicts everything the main franchise established about Mr. Miyagi and how it was build as a way for expression and defending yourself against bullies but not by matching their energy but becoming a better person. If the writers of CK actually wanted to send a message that honors the original movies they could’ve used Kwon’s death as a reflection that the “strike hard, no mercy” mentality is harmful and extremist. And building on the principle that both attack and defense can be good for Karate, the “balance” of Daniel and Johnny’s teachings but Cobra Kai has been trying to revision history and trying to make it seem like what Johnny did to Daniel in the OG movies wasn’t bullying and that he’s justified by how “obnoxious” Daniel is. Kwon’s death was meaningless and was only added for shock value, not because they wanted to create a concisions discussion on the dangers of harboring violence on teenagers with the sport.
It was already odd to see Miguel respond so aggressively to the Cobra Kai chant and winning because being aggressive always gets you a win and if you try to play by the rules it does not give you anything (looks at Robby and Sam’s reward). The show ended with the “strike first, strike hard, no mercy” phase on the wall just like the first episode. Nothing progressed.
And I do not appreciate that in this day and age the message this series wants to send is that the peaceful ways of teaching are obsolete and we should allow violence as the only alternative because that’s the only way we’ll be rewarded.
And you see how the majority of the Cobra Kai fans are crying tears over Johnny not being included in Karate Kid: Legends. Now, why would he? The Karate Kid is Daniel LaRusso. And no one else. No amount of Cobra Kai episodes will stop that from that being real. And we thank god the ones in charge of the movie are not the writers of Cobra Kai and maybe the essence of the original movies can be restored.
Corlys: *doubting Rhaenyra* Eh, idk if you'd be a great ruler...
Baela and Rhaena:
Baela: Grandpa wtf are you doing?
Rhaena: We're getting married to them. Lol
Corlys:
Corlys: Oh, I mean, TEAM RHAENYRA all the way! Forget what I said earlier. Fuck those Green bitches!
Rhaenys: He really means it.
I just saw Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and holy shit I am weeping
I'm rewatching some scenes from season 1 in search for clues for a brewing theory (more about that later in a longer post) and while watching episode three I got hit with this little idea.
I'm sure y'all remember this scene.
Let's say, after season 2, few weeks after Rachel left to Themyscira, Dick and Kory take a little trip to that storage unit to sort out through Kory's notes and take everything to the Tower. It's better to keep everything she has there, just in case, and since her memory is back, she can piece it all together and translate what needs to be translated.
So they get to work but... they keep getting distracted by all those baby pictures of their daughter plastered on the walls.
Dick: God, Kory, look at her! How old was she here, 5? Aww
Kory: We're supposed to be working here, Grayson. Remember?
Dick: Yeah, I know but- I mean, look how gorgeous she is!
Kory: You're right. She is cute. Those chubby cheeks, oh my god.
Dick: I'm keeping this one.
Kory: We're keeping all of them.
Dick: Yeah but this one stays with me *hides the picture in his chest pocket.*
I kinda want to turn this into a fic now...
