Hello, Cyclonians!
After a long discussion and a lot of planning, we have decided that the best way to get the graphic novel project off the ground as soon as possible would be to open up participation to any artists in the fandom who would like to collaborate with us. Similarly, we would also very much appreciate the involvement of fans who don't draw but would like to participate in ways other than illustration. What we have planned would be a lot for two people, but we believe with the right support it can be done. Something this big needs a team behind it and we hope to find people who are as excited about this passion project as we are and would like to join us. Artists of all skill levels are welcome, so long as they are willing to put in their best efforts.
We've prepared an application for anyone interested, which you can find here:
And here is our plan for the task breakdown schedule:
If you would like to get involved please submit your application by 11:59 PM on March 25, 2025. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send us an ask or DM.
&J dance studio au where anne, william and lance are teachers, angelique is like the 'front desk'/shop handler and juliet, may, frankie, romeo and all the other players are the dancers at the studio but everyone is kinda spreaded out through different classes/time slots and romeo is a transfer like mid year that juliet knew from a summer dance camp thing. Juliet and may take a tap/jazz class together but juliet also probably takes hip hop separately (which is where she and frankie kinda meet), and I feel may would take a contemporary class as well separately or just have taken one before. Romeo feels like he would do prolly a little of everything so he'd probably be involved alot in competition lines but still try and see the others as much as he could. Idk just a thought
Bare a Pop Opera (follows canonically gay characters and internalized homophobia)
Hunchback of Notre Dame (beautiful work that never made it to broadway, Michael Arden and Patrick Paige were in it)
Beetlejuice (i know it’s popular but fuck the music man)
Venice the Musical (stars Leslie Odom Jr. and is based on Othello)
Emojiland (NOT The Emoji Movie plot, actually has some deep meanings in it and the music is freaking good… also it starred Lesli Margherita, George Abud, Natalie Weiss, Lucas Steele, and others)
Spongebob Squarepants the Musical (the people who hated on this musical when it was on broadway deserve to go to hell)
The Prince of Egypt (who knows what’ll happen with it at this point… hopefully it transfers to broadway)
Dogfight (written by those guys who wrote dear evan hansen and did the music for la la land and greatest showman… also derek klena was in it)
Bring it On! The Musical (based on the movie, lin manuel co wrote the lyrics with tom kitt)
Bubble Boy (based on the movie that starred Jake Gyllenhaal, so cute!)
Tuck Everlasting (it’s broadway run was cut way too short due to the rise of hamilton… RIP :/)
Freaky Friday (the music is amazing and it’s so well done like wtf)
The Lightning Thief (actually is good and follows the plot unlike the shit we call the movies)
Ghost the Musical (based on the movie, EXTREMELY underrated)
He/Him - professional yapper and artist, talk to me please ‼️ (art reqs open 😼)
