Tommy was sprawled out on his bed, hands shakily pressed to his face as he pressed down the burning behind his eyes. He wouldn't cry. Not when Ranboo and Tubbo were here, no! Big men don't cry!

Tommy had been searching for a pair of gloves, very important gloves at that.

The left glove was a coffee-brown color, a bee and a daisy embroidered into the back of the handmade cloth. The right hand was fairly similar, same type of cloth but instead, the glove was a deep, almost black purple, a crown and a ender pearl embroidered on the back. Both gloves were fingerless, fitting his hands perfectly.

The carefully crafted gloves were gifted to him a month and a half before, when the two showed up to live with the young blond for a couple months.

Tommy, now, just couldn't find them.

He looked everywhere! Triple checked!

Tommy sat up, pulling at his hair, cursing himself for being so foolish- how could he misplace such an important item?!

“Toms!”

Tubbo called out from the living room excitedly. “We're aboutta stream! You ready, big man?”

Tommy cringed, he really wanted to show off his gloves. They were made with such love, he wanted to brag to chat(lightheartedly) for not having anything equivalent to them. “Alright-! You start! I'm looking for something!” Tommy shouted back, scrambling up to search every inch of his room one last time.

Tubbo and Ranboo glanced at each other, starting the stream. Chat flew by, greetings and excited emojis as well as “pog” flashing across the screen, some people questioning where Tommy has gone.

“Oh Tommy's here, chat, he's searching for something apparently” Ranboo reassuringly stated, nodding slightly, though even they weren't so sure.

Said streamer staggered out, having failed to find his belongings, quickly throwing on his usual chaotic, excited expression.

“WHAT IS UP, CHAT??”

Chat greeted the boy alongside Tubbo and Ranboo, the steam officially starting.

Tommy wished it would end already.

Not that he didn't want to stream! No no, his mood was just so killed. He didn't even want to show his face to his friends. Despite this, the teen hid it really well.

Tubbo did notice the increase in Tommy's fidgeting, though. “Hey, Toms? You alright?” Said streamer turned to the brunette, flashing him a convincing grin. “Of course, bitch, I'm a big man- the biggest of men!!”

Tubbo glanced at the tallest as Tommy rambled, shaking his head slightly. Ranboo nodded understandingly, quickly skimming over chat to hide their silent conversation.

Tommy eventually excused himself from the camera, claiming he “has to piss.” He walked down the hall to the restroom, locking the door, and breaking down. Tears burned his eyes as he slid down the wall, his knees now in front of his chest, his hands clenching his blond strands aggressively.

Why was he so worked up?

Why is he so irritated?

Selfish?

Selfish.

The word rang through the teen's mind, tears streaming down his face. He didn't know how to think. Well, was he thinking? He couldn't tell if he couldn't think, or if he was thinking too much, not being able to focus on just one thing.

Meanwhile, Ranboo and Tubbo were quietly talking, chat piping in, having noticed Tommy’s slightly off-putting mood as well. The two olders agreed to stream again another time. They said their goodbyes, hitting the “stop streaming” button.

About seven minutes passed by, the boy never stepped into the room. Eleven, still nothing. By the time thirteen minutes passed, Tommy finally emerged from the bathroom, a smile on his face once again until he saw the stream ended.

“Oh- stream ended? Why?”

“Tom..”

The soft, gentle call to his name brought him back to focus on his friend.

“Eyeah Tubs?”

Tommy stared at his husband/p, then to the enderman beside him on the floor. “What's bothering you..?” Ranboo continued, scared to say something wrong, but wanting to understand.

The boy blinked. He didn't expect the question, thinking he hid his feelings well. “Nothing, boss man. Uh.. oh! Do you guys wanna watch a movie..?”

The two elders exchanged a glance. “Sure”

Tommy whooped, “Hell yeah!”

Now, the trio was bunched up on the sofa, Tommy in the middle, Tubbo on his left, Ranboo on his right. Like his gloves.

The blonde’s heart clenched at the thought of his belongings once again. He tried to focus on the animation on the Television. Tubbo and Ranboo were pressed against the youngest, their arms wrapped comfortably behind the teen, hoping they'd be told what had been bothering the poor teen.

Tommy soon melted into the gentle grasp of his best friends, leaning back into their embrace.

Eventually, the two elders searched for ways to cheer the teen up, Tubbo absent-mindedly tracing his fingers along Tommy's sides, to his ribs, down to his stomach, repeating the motion. Soon, Tommy couldn't focus on the movie, his mind fully on his friend's gentle motions.

“Tuhubs. Cut it ohout.”

The oldest looked up at Tommy, giggling softly. Ranboo caught on soon after, smiling fondly. “What, Big man?” Tommy giggled quietly. “Stop moving your hahands.” Tubbo hummed, grinning, suddenly skittering his fingers along the younger's torso, relishing in the bubbly, happy giggles Tommy produced. Ranboo gently lifted his hand to the boy's shoulders, softly tracing his back.

“EhEhey-! Whua- stohopihit?” Tommy giggled out, barely squirming. The tallest couldn't help the sweet coo he gave even if he tried, causing Tommy's face to flush lightly with embarrassment.

“Aw.. sorry, Toms, we both know you were bluffing earlier, so even though you won't tell us why.. we can't let you suffer in silence, bud.” Ranboo offered, Tubbo slowing his motions to his friend's pace.

Tommy thought for a moment. Eventually he thought fuck it, what is there to lose?

“I-” he sighed, his breath catching in his throat.“I-i lost the gloves.. i-i don't know how! They just.. I- they meant so much to me! I wanted to brag about them but I just c-cant find them.. I'm so sorry..”

Tommy's voice was shaky and stuttery, holding back tears once again.

Ranboo and Tubbo’s hearts broke, gently hugging the boy. “Hey- hey.. it's alright, bud, I understand” Ranboo reassured, the other still hugging the youngest.

Tommy couldn't help it.

He cried.

Tears streaming down his face, not being the first time today. The two elders rubbed his back soothingly, tiring the boy a little. Once Tommy calmed down, he slightly smiled, happy to be held and loved.

Loved.

Techno was currently seated on the living room couch of Phil's house, deeply engaged in a journal he was writing in. Phil was seated on the opposite side of the sofa, drinking hot tea and listening to the roaring thunderstorm. The blonde has always been comforted by rain, but with his best friend in his presence as well? He almost couldn't contain the wide, happy smile that threatened to split his face.

The comfortable silence was short lived as Tommy scrambled down the stairs, mumbling and muttering something under his breath. The youngest had been locked in his room since the storm began, texting Tubbo about rescheduling because of the weather, so when he saw his brother visiting, his whole being practically glowed.

“Techno?!”

Said man flinched a little at the sudden call at his name, biting back another short, sharp intake that hadn't caught the other's ears just yet.

Tommy waltzed over, staring down at his good friend. “Hulloo!” Techno replied, looking up at the teen’s happy expression.

Phil smiled, “Been locked in your room for a bit, mate, something goin’ on?” Tommy sighed dramatically. “Mother nature decided to cancel mine and the Bee Boy's plans!! ..but tech is here so it's not the worst thing I guess” The boy grinned over at the pig-hybrid before questioning his state. Tommy stared confusedly at the older for a moment, Phil looking over as well.

The man in question had a hand over his mouth, seemingly trying to steady his breathing. “Tech?” Phil asked, a little concerned.

Techno cleared his throat.

“Phil do you have- hiccup -water..?”

The hybrid cringed at the noise.

Now, he knew hiccuping shouldn't be embarrassing.. it's quite common for everyone, actually, the only problem was he hated the sound. Not only was it distracting and annoying, it was also high-pitched. He sounded like a little kid, he shouldn't sound like a kid! He is a god! Intimidating! Now, because he was self-conscious of it, he never hiccuped in front of anyone. If he felt the need to, he would excuse himself from a room to get a drink. Now, though, he was not so lucky.

Silence fell upon the room, the only thing that was heard were the thundering noises from the continuous storm.

Tommy and Phil processed the sound as Techno glanced up at the two.

“Wait- was that a hiccup, mate..? Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard that from you.” Phil thought aloud, a small, adoring smile pulling at his lips. Tommy's eyes were sparkling with the thought of Technoblade, The Blood God, hiccuping like a kitten.

Techno bit down another short intake, rolling his eyes at Tommy's expression. Trying to stay nonchalant, “I guess.. hic- ahem. I guess so..?” he replied wearily.

Techno cursed himself for the situation and rubbed his neck, feeling the warmth of embarrassment rise in his face.

“Daww~ Does Techno have an adorable hiccup?” Tommy was genuinely bouncing from his excitement. The man in question glared daggers at the teen, the stare being interrupted by yet another hiccup, causing the man to drop the gaze to his lap.

Phil chuckled, “How did you even get them?”

Techno rolled his eyes. “Oh, I dunno.. maybe when the gremlin decided he would screech my name out of fucking- hiccup -” The man groaned frustratedly. “I was doing so well!!”

Tommy let out his usual barky-laughter, the father figure chuckling at the predicament along with the teen. “Hoholy shihit-!” Tommy managed to babble between his giggles, plopping between the two elders on the plush sofa.

Techno huffed, annoyed.

“Is Techie a little embarrassed?”

Tommy giggled and prodded the side of the man's lower-back. It was meant as a playful gesture, not expecting much of a reaction. So.. when the hybrid hiccuped rather loudly and jerked away from the touch, he was surprised.

....

“Techno.?”

Tommy questioned, Phil having the same confused look.

Said man glared up at the boy, his book being abandoned to the floor after sliding off the couch. The realization slowly set in the two blondes, the younger grinning, the older smiling fondly, chuckling quietly.

The pinkette hiccuped again, pushing down a smile at the playful look on the youngest’ face.

“Techno..”

The boy chuckled evilly “Techno, Techno, Techno. Did you know about this, Phil?” Tech hiccuped, squirming a little as Tommy sat on the man’s upper thighs, his weight holding him down. (Techno could've gotten out of it but something was nagging at him to stay still) “How did I forget?” The older replied, smiling sweetly at old memories as they flooded his mind.

Tommy tapped his fingers around the hiccupy god's sides below him, getting an idea. “Hey! I have a cure for your hiccups, Tech!”Said man had his mouth covered, refusing to laugh in front of Tommy, looking at him in question.

The kid chuckled mischievously,

“giggles.”

With that, the younger gently squeezed Techno's sides, the man almost breaking instantly. Instead, he gasped, curling in on himself to the best of his ability and shaking his head. Tommy wasn't satisfied, moving his hands up to his ribs instead.

The dam broke.

Techno cackled.

Honest to GOD, cackled, before half-heartedly shoving at Tommy's chest, his laughter laced with hiccups and a couple snorts. Tommy couldn't help the verbal coo that left his mouth, heart melting at the newfound laugh. The writhing man below him kicked a little, grasping the younger's sleeves and tugging on them before pushing, then repeating the action over and over.

“hic- TOHohohomEheEHEHey!! FuhUHUCk!- snort- Gehet ohohoff..”

“You could easily throw me off if you wanted to.”

He wasn't lying, the God was significantly stronger than him, plus combined with how light Tommy was.

“Nhgehehehehehe!”

The man squirmed a little as the blonde slowed his skittery fingers to featherlight tracing, the gentle touches making him melt into the soft cushions.

“Owh..”

Phil softly trailed off, taking in the God's adorable state, Tommy nodding in agreement.

Techno hummed contently at the ticklish feeling ceasing, the younger sitting next to the man on the sofa.

“Hey! I was right! You're not hiccuping anymore! I'm such a genius.” Tommy excitedly pointed out, Tech rolling his eyes with a smile.

Maybe.. just maybe, his hiccups weren't so bad after all.
