trying to prove a point that female fans can love Peter Parker for the character and not because of the actor’s physical appearance. That we are not ‘fake fans’ just because a cute guy became the face of one of the most amazing heroes out there.

edit: some people seem to think I’m saying people who found sm because of Tom are fake fans - nonononono. I’m annoyed at the prejudice against female fans (mostly by male comic readers - AGAIN NOT ALL) that says we pretend to be a fan of the hero because of the actor. I’m sorry for the poor wording above… I have loved Spider-Man since I was 7, but it doesn’t make me anymore of a fan than someone who became a fan in 2016.

Batman is absolutely awful at dealing with emotions and feelings. Luckily, Dick is there to pick up the emotional slack and be the support system that all his siblings need!

Dick was about to head out the door, but drops everything when Tim says he needs to talk (and Tim was struggling with suicidal thoughts in this comic so it is even more important that he has someone to talk to).

And Tim feels comfortable coming to Dick with tough topics.

Even though Dick isn’t as close to Cass at this point, he makes sure that she knows he’s there for her during a tough time.

And he is there for Barbara and is understanding when she talks about her need for revenge after the injury that resulted in her being put in a wheelchair.

While all the others are shocked by Damian’s emotional reaction, Dick is reassuring and comforting (indicating to me that this isn’t the first time he’s comforted Damian in this way). Dick is one of the few people who treats Damian like the child he is.

And he does the same thing for Batman. This moment in particular is heartbreaking to me, because Dick completely neglects his own feelings about Damian’s death to support Bruce. 

Dick is always encouraging communication and making sure everyone stays connected. He is so important to the Bat family, the glue that keeps them together. He’s just always got everyone’s back. Dick Grayson actual therapist everyone.
