The petty arguments had started weeks ago and neither you nor your husband could figure out what it was that was bothering your daughter so much. It just seemed that no matter what you were doing or trying to do she would pick a fight with her father and get an attitude problem with him. Minho was walking around the house with you as you tried to talk this thing out between the two of you. Only it was hard when you didn’t exactly know what was bothering your daughter so much and you had no idea how to even ask her.

“I’m just saying, we should sit down with her and talk about it. Maybe there’s something wrong at school,” You told Minho as you walked into your daughter’s bedroom to find it completely messy. You knew kids were supposed to go through the stages of pushing their parents away but you never thought it was going to be this hard. 

How was it even possible that your 17-year-old daughter was worse than your twin toddlers that were going through their terrible two stages?

“Chan said to let her come to me, so that’s what I’m going to do,” Minho explained looking down at the bed as he tried to figure out if it needed to be made or stripped and have new sheets. You rolled your eyes a little, Of course, he was going to do what Chan told him to do, if his friend told him to jump off a bridge you were almost 90% sure that your husband would go ahead and do it. 

“What about going to her, telling her that you know something is wrong and just-” You stopped speaking when you saw her journal open and on her desk, Minho’s name was scribbled across it a lot and your eyes naturally began to read some of the words that were on full display. It was wrong on so many levels to invade your daughter’s space like this but you knew that you needed to get to the bottom of all of this.

cuddling against your boyfriend’s chest in the middle of the living room trying to get comfortable on the leather couch, you watched him scroll through his phone giggling.

curious, you peeked a little and notice the weverse screen that you were familiar with. “would this be a cute reply?”, jake flashed you his bright screen which made you squint a little as you read ‘jakey loves you too’ on the comment box that hasn’t been sent out yet.

“why don’t you ever reply to mine,” you ask sulkingly but also meaning every word you had said because he’s about to begin a mention party on weverse right now while you were both supposedly going to sleep.

jake ignored you and began the chaos that was about to blow his notifications up which made you start a mini tantrum going “aaaahhhhhh”, “whyyy”, and the occasional “jakeyyy” while lightly hitting on his chest to get his attention with him only giggling a little as a response but keeping his straight face a second later.

wanting an answer, you pulled out your own phone to enter the weverse app and joined the engenes in hopes to get the attention of your boyfriend on the internet too.

commenting all sorts of compliments, questions, stories you could ever think of at the moment which could beat the simple 'i love you jake’ from an engene which started this entire thing.

“see, look this is my username”, copying his movement earlier as you shoved your phone directly towards his face. “plus you’ve always known it- its the one that says ’jakeyismypuppy1115’.. i need a reply please please plea- don’t make me snatch your phone right now to do it”, whining even further as you shake his body which was almost falling off the couch if he wasn’t supporting himself.

“jakeyyyyyy~ why won’t you reply to me… i wanna show it off on my fan account on twitter too pleaaaaaswwe im about to off myself if you don’t,” earning another giggle from him however his face remained sterned after a light cough. “it’s not funny,” you tried to be serious, frowning at him.

“i won’t reply to you.” was all he had responded.

“wha.. why..”, pushing yourself further away with your palm pressing on his chest to move yourself up.

jake removed his left arm which was supporting his head to type intensively into the weverse search bar more than ever before. “because what the hell is this,” not thinking much of it, you glanced your eyes to his screen.

it was your profile with the recent post dated a few days ago, apart from this moment’s fiasco of you trying to get jake’s attention online, the post made you cringe a little after realising what it said.

“heeseung-ah, i love you the most ! i hope you eat well, rest well, and is always happy ! i love u sooo much ure my favorite. i’ll always choose you ❤️”

he scrolled down a little more to show that heeseung, who is rarely online, had replied too. “heeseungie loves you too ☺️”.

it took you awhile to process it a little, and it finally hit you that you made the post after watching a youtube compilation of your boyfriend’s co-member which made you all happy inside as a fan and nothing more.

you didn’t expect heeseung to reply to your post either. you were joyful that he did and bragged it on twitter, but it didn’t stuck into your mind forever since you technically forgot it happened. jake’s reply would matter to you more.

on heeseung’s side however, he and all of the other boys knew of your weverse account from how jake would always reply to yours which raised some suspicion and later confirmed when jungwon saw the app left open on your phone with the profile flashing your username.

heeseung found the comment to be sweet and endearing, he loves you like the closest friend who has always been there for his bestfriend and the team even before debut.

your reminiscing thoughts were then killed by jake pouting at you with the post still up in your face.

“jakey.. i didn’t mean tha- wait i did, i think heeseung deserves all the good things in life but i love you the most more than him,” trying to comfort him, not caring about the app hybe created now.

he knew that you only meant well and was happy to know that you were a good person that likes his group as a whole.

jake, still determined with his plan in making you love him more than heeseung, even though you already do, continued sulking and crossing his arms away from you, staring into the silent tv.

you hugged him as tight as the koalas he had seen back in australia and a bunch of apologies + i love yous came running out your cute lips profusely.

your boyfriend wasn’t budging at all which made you even more frustrated, you knew he was just being playful though from the countless of times he tried not to laugh.

giving up, you sat on the couch as he was still laying and proceeded to go over his body and walk to the kitchen in hopes to find heeseung somewhere eating ramen to prove jake that you were both just a couple of besties.

however the area was empty realising that the entire group left the two of you alone for some privacy, and that they would rather be outside than to see any form of pda.

your brain was wired to make milo, an australian chocolate drink, for your boyfriend as another cute form of “please love me and give me attention”.

it was hard to reach the mugs knowing that riki purposely made it higher for laughs and gags. a little more and you’d be able to grab the spider-man mug that belonged to your baby jakey.

like any cliché, a hand made way to your waist as you felt your boyfriend’s body lightly pressed against your back reaching for the cup that you were both eyeing for.

placing the blue spider-man mug in front of you with his right hand on your side fulling back hugging you now as he whispered, “i love you” with his soft lips touching the shell of your ear making you turn your head around from the tickling feeling.

with your body finally facing him, you cupped his cheeks and stared into his sparkly eyes. your thumbs grazing his soft skin and fingers moving his unkept fringe a little from the nap you both had in the afternoon, admiring all of his features before giving him a kiss.

not knowing that your phone was blowing up in the living room from the weverse notifications you were getting.

“What the hell are you up to now, Y/n?” Heeseung’s groggy voice rings in your ear the moment he picks up the phone. It’s clear that he was fast asleep like he usually is at three in the morning (unless of course, he secretly stays up all night playing League Of Legends), but you don’t care.

“Seung.” You quietly say, almost pressing your phone speaker to your lips to avoid speaking loudly and potentially waking up your parents thanks to the paper-thin walls of your apartment.

“What?” He sounds impatient. You can't really blame him, though, since you literally called him in the middle of the night.

“I need a hug.”

At this, your boyfriend and neighbor snorts at the random statement. “L/n Y/n.”

You gulp at how scary he sounds even when half asleep. “…Yes?”

“Did you seriously feel the need to wake me up just for that?”

“Well, you could’ve just ignored my call.” You admit, almost too proud. Heeseung groans and you hear shuffling through the phone and assume that he’s rolling over in his bed like he usually does when he wakes up in the night.

“Bullshit.” Even with his back turned to the phone, you can hear him and you instantly visualize how his face must look at the moment. He’s definitely rolling his eyes.

But you giggle, letting the grin that was picking at your lips finally take control. You place your phone down on the mattress and adjust yourself so you’re laying on your stomach. Grabbing a stuffed toy to place under folded arms and chin, you mumble. “And who’s fault is it for allowing my calls and texts to go through even on do not disturb mode?”

For a minute, it’s dead silent. You’re wondering if Heeseung fell asleep until a long sigh resonates through your phone. “Y/n.”

“Yes?”

“Just come over.”

“Say no more!” You try to hide your giggle, immediately kicking off your covers and tiptoeing your way out of your apartment to the one down the hall. Once at the door, you hang up the call and punch in the digits to unlock your boyfriend’s apartment.

You don’t even hide your excitement as you run to Heeseung’s room and crawl under the covers and into his embrace. His features are still visible in the dark, and you can tell he’s glaring at you.

“You are such a baby.” He deadpans, but the way he pulls you closer says otherwise.

“Fine, have it your way.” You act mad and kick him away, attempting to turn your back to him but his grip on you tightens. “Tsk.”

“Kidding.” His hand travels to your waist underneath the covers, pulling down your shirt that had ridden up. “Now sleep, you’ve got nine A.M classes.”

“Fine.” You snuggle deeper into Heeseung’s arms, taking in the scent of his freshly washed hair. “Nighty night.”

“Goodnight, Y/n.” He kisses your hair softly.

“hi,” jungwon said softly beside your head as he wrapped his arms around your form from behind.

you two had just moved in together, and after a long day of moving heavy boxes, unpacking and organizing your belongings, your felt body slowly grew weaker and you heard your stomach growl. so as jungwon continued unpacking, you had slipped yourself out of the room and into the kitchen to make one of your and jungwon’s comfort foods, since you knew you both could use an energy boost at this time.

“what are you up to?” he asked, watching your hands work from over your shoulder, now resting his head on the side of yours.

“making our favourite,” you told him, a soft smile growing on both your and jungwon’s lips.

“can’t wait,” he said before placing a loving kiss on your cheek.

“wanna grab me some bowls? it’ll be ready in a few minutes.”

jungwon nodded at your request before quickly taking some bowls he had unpacked an hour ago from the cabinet, placing them near you on the counter.

“there you go,” he said, wrapping a quick arm around your waist and placing one more kiss on your cheek, causing you to smile before he let go and took a step and leaned his body on the counter to watch you from the side.

his eyes were filled with awe and his heart exploded with love for you that he couldn’t help but smile.

“what’s that grin for?” you asked amusingly.

“i just can’t believe we’re finally living together. we’ve been waiting for this moment for so long, and the time has finally come. it just feels so surreal and exciting. i get to be here, with the love of my life, and i’ll get to go to sleep tonight with you by my side and dream about you, all to wake up to that beautiful face in the morning. and i’ll get to do that every single day.”

“won,” you pouted sweetly, turning to him and walking over, immediately placing your lips on his.

at first he was slightly taken aback, but as you placed your chest on his and wrapped your hands around his neck, quickly, he relaxed from underneath you and wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing you back.

after many long seconds, you pulled back with a smile, and you found jungwon’s eyes in almost a daze, staring at your lips.

“food is ready, by the way,” you told him, pulling away, leaving him desperate for more before he blinked a couple times and stood up straight, grabbing the bowls of food so you wouldn’t have to and quickly brought it to the small coffee table that was newly placed in what was soon to be your living room.

you two sat yourselves closely on the couch, and jungwon quickly and excitedly dug in and let out a satisfied sound once the food hit his tongue.

he let out a sigh and looked at you, “i love you.”

you let out a small chuckle and placed a kiss on his lips.

“mmm–are you cold?” he asked, somehow able to feel the coolness from the touch of your lips on his.

“a little,” you answered, and he quickly got up, finding a blanket for you before hurrying back and placing it over your thighs.

he picked up a bowl and turned to you, feeding you to which you also let out a satisfied hum.

as he took a spoonful himself, you rested your head on his shoulder.

if this is what living with jungwon every day was going to be like, you would’ve moved in together so much earlier. you couldn’t wait for what was in store for your and jungwon’s future.

you had hair all over your face as your pillows laid atop your head, somewhat shielding you from the brightness of your phone screen that cast shadows on your face. the comforter tightly hugging your figure while remaining breezy.

you usually get up and head to the bathroom to freshen up before your video calls with him, but tonight, you had no energy to do so. it was 4 AM, after all, and you felt like passing out soon anyway.

the device in your hand vibrates and rings, and your thumb hovers over the screen, sliding it to answer.

heeseung's voice comes through. "hey, (name)—oh, were you asleep?"

you shake your head no, but he only looked at you in confusion, resulting in you groggily holding up a thumbs-down to the camera. he responds with a hearty chuckle and a little bit of baby talk, telling you to get some sleep afterwards.

as you adjust the position of the pillow your cheek lies on, you laugh, love filling your heart. "okay, i will," you say. "show it to me then."

the "it" in question are a pair of brand new shoes that he had gotten earlier from a shopping trip with jay.

heeseung ends up rambling. ends up showing you his favorite details and explaining how he was initially at the mall to buy something else (definitely not video games) but ended up buying a pair of shoes after seeing them on a mannequin.

you're trying your best not to sleep, really. you wished you were in the same place right now. wished you were on his bed as he excitedly shows you everything personally. because even though you were six hours apart, it felt like light years to you.

"that's great, baby." you manage. but your eyes fail you, becoming heavier and heavier as your eyelids droop. you hum as if to let him know that you're still awake and listening.

he seems to notice. on your screen, heeseung's eyes dart down to the shopping bag on his desk and back to you, halting his rambles as he watches sleep take over you. he lets out a chuckle. he wishes he was there with you. he really does. 

but for now, he smiles at his phone screen and whispers, "goodnight baby," before ending the call.

he makes sure to text and call you again when you're awake.

you lifted your head up, looking at him with furrowed brows as you pouted and feigned anger to the best of your abilities. he couldn’t help but laugh.

“i’m just kidding,” he said.

“hmph,” you whipped your head away to face the window instead before laying your head against the wall of the car. “i didn’t want your shoulder anyway; too hard and uncomfortable.”

“yeah, y/n, it’s called muscle,” he told you in a playfully cocky tone.

you couldn’t hide the growing smile creeping to your lips, and of course, sunghoon just had to notice. but before he could say anything, you quickly moved your head back to rest on his shoulder, squeezing your eyes shut, pretending not to hear anything as you made a weak attempt at falling back asleep.
