We know that Sonic is a very powerful being, even within his own world. I like to think that he was literally born to fulfill the role of protector of his world. So, being born with so much energy inside him, he tends to act a little... strange as a child.

Day 7, Tropes.
I looked up the most-used tropes in Phineas and Ferb according to the TV Tropes website, and ended up vibing with what's called "contrived coincidence". IT'S EVERYWHERE!! The dialectic between the A and B plots exist without being called into question by ANY of the characters because of a never-ending series of the most arbitrary coincidences possible.
