he'll make a comment about your performance in the mission. he will call you by 'miss/sir', as it is only professional. but he will compliment you, no matter what goes wrong.

he's observant. he notices small details about you – the way you handle your quirk, the way you interact with civilians, even the brand of coffee you're sipping. this info goes straight into his mental file labeled "things i find interesting about [reader's hero name]."

he's testing the waters, dropping subtle hints. a casual "maybe we should grab coffee sometime and compare notes?" is pure hawks – playing it cool while secretly wanting to know everything about you.

HAWKS CRUSHING ON YOU:

he starts "coincidentally" showing up where you are. training facilities, hero galas, even that one yakitori place you love. he'll play it off as being in the area, but we all know better.

he starts confiding in you about the commission, about his doubts and worries. he doesn't do this with just anyone. you're earning his trust, and with keigo, that's a BIG deal.

DATING HAWKS:

dates are never stuffy or predictable. think rooftop picnics with a city view, late-night patrols fueled by convenience store snacks, and impromptu karaoke sessions. he keeps it fun and spontaneous.

He's a toucher. a hand on your back, a playful nudge, a casual arm around your shoulders. nothing too intense, but always a reminder that he's there and he's into you.

Chapter 01.

“You have got to be kidding me.” Bakugo glared at his PR manager. “There’s no fucking way I’m going to agree to this- And there’s no way they’re-” He pointed at you, red eyes narrowed into slits. You rolled your eyes at his attitude, sticking your middle finger up at his face. “are going to agree to this crap either.” He finished, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Look-” Your PR manager, Tommie, butted in. “Both of you are dropping in the ranks right now. Be realistic here Dynamight.” He sighed, pulling his glasses off his face, rubbing his forehead with his hand, looking annoyed. The poor man just wanted to go home to his wife - he didn’t want to be here, babysitting two grown adults as they yelled at each other and acted more immature than his five year old son.

“A stunt like this will boost both of your popularity seeing that both of you have been hit with a wave of negativity - it’ll be good for everyone. Do you see what I’m trying to say here?” He raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes sliding from the blond hero, to your face.

You scoffed and looked away - how come out of everyone - you had to be stuck ‘fake dating’ the likes of him.

The most annoying - infuriating - egotistical - asshole you’ve ever met- ever!

And that’s saying something because you’ve worked retail and you know bloodthirsty demons. And despite it all, none of them even hold a torch to the amount of hate you had for your former classmate.

“Ugh I’ve already graduated, why can’t you leave me alone already. Are you this bent on making my life a living hell?” You groaned, rubbing your hands down your face.

Bakugo’s eye twitched and he glared at you. “Fuck off extra. Like I wanna be here either. I’d rather chew on fucking styrofoam than be considered this bitches date to the gala.” He hissed under his breath, scoffing and looking away. 

The insult - rightfully so - ticked you off. However you were a different person now. You matured into an amazing person, one who would never take the bait that Bakugo had so obviously laid at your begging feet.

“Bitch.”

He mumbled under his breath again.

“The FUCK did you call me-” You shouted, storming right over to the blond man and grabbing him by the shirt.

“You heard me! You fucking bitch! I’d rather choke on your fucking smoke than be here right now!” He spat back, grabbing your arm and pushing you off of him.

“Oh yea? Do you wanna go? Right now? Cause we can go!” You shouted back, tendrils of smoke curling around your legs.

Bakugo’s explosions popped like small firecrackers as his hands twitched, ready to strike. “Let’s fucking go smoke breath.”

Tommie rubbed his forehead. Bakugo's PR manager sighed. It was going to be one long afternoon.

“So you’re telling me. I have no other choices than to pair up with him as my date for the annual hero gala.” You sighed.

Tommie merely shrugged, giving you a look that pointedly said, ‘Well I’m not the one slipping in the hero ranks right now.’ and then he gave you another look that screamed, 'Maybe instead of fighting with Bakugo during the latest mission, you wouldn't have to pretend like his dick fucks you every night.'

You merely huffed, and your hands twitched slightly before you crossed your arms over your chest and glared at the floor. Like the poor hardwood decided it wanted to turn sentient and that it wished to make its existence known by deciding to insult every single family member in your bloodline and to spit on your grave.

“And how long are we going to have to keep this charade up for?” You hissed under your breath. Tommie had every right to look mildly guilty as he averted his eyes.

“A couple of months at least-” 

“Months???” You shrieked, whipping your head around to glare at the poor man who raised his hands in mock protest. Tommie winced as you cut him off.

“I can’t be seen with him for months. I’m gonna go insane and then like- stab him or something! Which would honestly be doing everyone a fucking favour but- like- still! I can’t handle being around him for five fucking minutes let alone a few months!” You threw your hands up into the air and groaned as Tommie shook his head.

“[Name]. That’s- no you don’t have to look at him for a few months- you don’t even need to think about him. It’s just for show, remember? The only time it’s gotta come into play is any time where the paparazzi are involved.” He reassured you. “Though it wouldn’t hurt if you two could potentially push your differences away and maybe learn to work together…” He mumbled under his breath before freezing up in place.You glared daggers at the man.

if your quirk is even remotely related to heroes (like, you can mimic their voices or analyze their strategies), he’s extra suspicious. prove you’re down with the cause!

he will lowkey admire you if you are really strong and have a really strong quirk for fighting heroes and being a villain.

he's surprisingly awkward when you first talk to him. expect a lot of mumbled greetings and averted eye contact. he's not used to interacting with people he doesn't immediately see as either a threat or a hero worshipper.

he's impressed if you can hold your own in a philosophical debate about stain. he needs someone who understands the depth of stain's ideology, not just the surface level admiration.

if you're good at tech or gaming, you've basically unlocked a secret level of respect. he will ask questions about computers and he might ask you to play games with him.

he notices small things. if you offer him a soda after a particularly frustrating mission, or if you defend him when someone makes a joke about his appearance, he remembers.

SPINNER CRUSHING ON YOU:

he gets flustered easily. compliment his fighting style? stuttering mess. ask him his opinion on stain's philosophy? expect a rambling, incoherent explanation.

he starts leaving you little offerings: a cool rock he found, a discarded manga he thinks you might like, a strangely shaped piece of metal he thought looked interesting. it’s his version of a love letter.

dates? forget fancy restaurants. think abandoned warehouses with surprisingly good take-out, or quiet rooftops overlooking the city.

he’s surprisingly affectionate. lots of gentle touches, leaning against you while watching a movie (probably a samurai flick), and the occasional shy hand-hold.

physical affection is a learning process for him. He's not sure how much is too much, so he'll often look to you for cues. communication is key!

he's fiercely protective, especially during missions. he'll always have your back, and he won't hesitate to put himself in harm's way to protect you.

he needs reassurance. he worries that you're only with him because of the league, or that you'll eventually get tired of his… quirks. remind him that you genuinely care about him.

he loves info-dumping about his interests, especially stain. be prepared to listen to hours of passionate monologues about the hypocrisy of hero society.

he will absolutely call you "my beloved stain enthusiast" as a term of endearment.

he will try to protect you from Shigaraki as much as possible.

he treasures any gift you give him. even the smallest, most insignificant thing will be placed in a special spot and treated with reverence.

he starts opening up more about his past and his insecurities. he trusts you implicitly, and he values your judgment.

he is a surprisingly good listener, offering thoughtful advice and genuine empathy. he may not always know what to say, but he'll always be there for you.

he is loyal to a fault. once he's committed, he's all in. expect unwavering support, fierce dedication, and a love that burns hotter than dragon fire (okay, maybe not thathot, but still!).

he sometimes calls you his "scalesmate" out of affection.

you will probably have to learn to hide him when you're on a grocery trip or something, as he can get in trouble if he's seen in public.
