↬ Pairing. Sakusa Kiyoomi/gn! Reader 

[ 𝟏:𝟒𝟕 𝐚.𝐦. ] - 𝐒𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 never one to initiate displays of affection in your relationship. In fact, he usually left it to you to hold his hand or give him a hug. You’d both developed a system where you’d tap against the other’s shoulder three times if you wanted a hug, hand-hold, or anything of the sort.

Which is why it comes as a surprise when Kiyoomi feels a head rest against his chest, the warmth that follows your skin starting to spread against his own. At first, he doesn’t know what to do. His first instinct is to push away, simply crawl back into the right side of the bed, his own personal space.

But when you snuggle your head closer against him, arms unconsciously going to wrap around him, he finds himself starstruck. What kind of boyfriend would he be not to let you cuddle him? He couldn’t blame you for your actions, you were asleep, after all. Though, he did slightly regret not getting you that body pillow for Christmas.

You let out soft murmurs against him as your legs started to tangle with his own. Sakusa stiffened, doing his best not to wake you and just let you do your thing. He looked down at you for a bit, tracing your sleepy figure with his eyes. The soft sounds that left your lips were comforting to him, and your bedhead hair was adorable to him. Your eyelashes fluttered against your eyelids, and Sakusa couldn’t help but think of what an angel you looked like in your sleep.

Without even realizing, his left arm had gone around your waist and pulled you closer, his chin resting against the top of yours as he reveled in the warmth of your body. His legs were no longer stiff as boards, instead finding their place against your own as he started to drift off.

You stir, eyes opening groggily before widening as you realize you’re this close to Sakusa. Your heart starts to pound, fearing the worst as you start to babble. You know Sakusa isn’t one to enjoy sudden touches, but exactly how long had you made him uncomfortable with the unconscious cuddling?

“Omi, I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”

“Shh,” he whispers, the gravel in his voice telling you he was close to sleeping, “just come here, sweetheart.”

If not for the lack of light in the room, you surely would’ve been teased for looking so flustered in front of him. “O-Okay, babe,” you oblige, placing your hand on his chest as you lean into him. You wouldn’t complain about his change of heart tonight, rather, you’d enjoy it to the fullest.

Sakusa rests his head atop yours again, taking in your scent silently. You smile softly as you relax against him, enjoying the feeling of his arms being around you so carelessly. He was always one to shy away from loving touches, but you knew he was always a big teddy bear deep down. His hand traced slow circles against your skin, each touch lighting your skin on fire as you took deep breaths against him.

“Night, Omi,” you drawled, feeling yourself being pulled into your dreams, “I love you.” 

Sakusa could’ve sworn his heart burst hearing your soft, sleepy voice telling him you loved him. If it weren’t for you already falling asleep, he would’ve asked you to say it over and over until he memorized how pretty you sounded while saying it. But he resorted to pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head, wrapping both his arms around you as he leaned back and repeated your words over and over.

He didn’t mind you leaning on his chest. The thump of your heartbeat against his only reminded him of how much he truly loved you, and how much he felt for you despite not being a physical-touch person. He let out a sigh, closing his eyes after taking one last look at your already-sleeping face.

“Goodnight, my love. I love you too,” He says, pulling you as close to him as he could before letting the night take over.

♡ synopsis. a fleeting encounter where two souls meet for the first time. whether its a first glance or a first hello, theres definetely spring in the air, even if neither of them realize it yet. for love starts with an encounter and he couldn’‘t be anymore glad that its with you.

♡ genre. fluff ♡ feat. Akaashi & Kuroo ♡  wc. 1784 ♡ note. this is just gonna be a series of meet cute scenarios and I’m planning on making more of these! ps. how does one not get carried away when writing akaashi?

AKAASHI KEIJI

there they are again.

akaashi keji’s eyes have been trained on the same figure coming and leaving the university library for days now. at times he felt as though he was finally losing it. he’s only ever read about this feeling in picturesque novels and sickiningly sweet poetry. never in his life had he thought about those storybook cliches to happen in his mundane life.

but perhaps spring had finally come for him.

he wasn’t quite sure why he was so intrigued, like somesort of pied piper, you had him following your every move, having him wrapped around your finger without a single word. 

akaashi had thought he might want to change that. you were more than a cover to a book, he wanted to read your mind, know your story,  make out what makes you – you. then perhaps he’d have a better understanding to the pining inside his heart. so he finds his feet moving towards your direction without much of a thought, his sorroundings looking hazy as his heart picks up pace with every step. 

“here let me” he called out softly, reaching out for the book you were reaching since earlier, only for you to whip your head abruptly. 

“oh no — you don’t have to!“ 

you made the mistake of stepping back, and before you knew it, a great deal of paperbacks and articles cascaded off the bookshelves. you prepared yourself for the impact but it never came. you open your eyes, only to see akaashi had vigorously propped both his hands beside your head, shielding you from the onslaught of books as if it were a first instinct. he winces at the pain but it was nothing compared to the throbbing in his chest whilst he looked straight into your eyes given the close proximity.    

“akaashi!”

"it’s fine, i’m sorry for insisting too much” he backs away immediately and rubs a hand on the back of his neck. trying to catch his breath, he thought ‘this definetly wasn’t a good conversation starter’. he struggles to keep eye contact, catching a glimpse of the events that happened just moments ago when doing so. the image had him flushing red whilst he tried to sort himself out. 

“no no, its not fine! i could’ve killed you!” you worriedly ask him if he was okay, examining his condition whilst muttering a string of apologies. the attention was definitely not helping him calm down his nerves, yet he couldn’t help but savor the moment, even just for a little while. 

“you know my name” he murmured in daze to which you stare at him as though he said the most ridiculous of things. 

“that hurt didn’t it” you asked, a hint of guilt coating your voice. 

“just a little ache is all” 

“i knew it” you bit your nail in distress, thinking of ways to recover from this sticky situation. this was definitely not how you imagined your first conversation with him to turn out. 

you managed to muster up an idea and gave him a reassuring smile. at that moment, the man swears he gained another lifespan or two. “do you like cake? i know a perfect place, let me make it up to you c’mmon!”

“no its really fine“ he replied, waving his hands to refuse, only to lower it back and bite back his lips, seeing you upset at your own mistake. he sighs and gives in. “well, i wont say no to cake, but there is something else i wanted to ask if you dont mind”

“anything! its the least i could do for causing you trouble” your eyes light up, eager to listen to know what he had in mind, and with that, he cant help but look at you all too fondly. was it possible for someone to look this absolutely breathtaking without much effort?

“then, will you allow me to get to know you more,?” 

he flashes you a sweet smile, which only grew wider, seeing you fumble with your next words as you pick at the loose fabric of your shirt. he wonders where he got the sudden boost in confidence, but the flustered look on your face was definitely worth the effort. it had only been a few minutes since he first spoke with you but he can already tell you’ll keep him on his toes.

“are you sure? there isn’t really anything about me. i bet you dont even know my name yet.“

“(y/n)” he answers wholeheartedly, catching you off guard as he stares at you thoughtfully “your name’s (y/n)”

you pursed your lips together and slowly nodded your head. summoning all the courage you had, you took his hand and proceeded to drag the bespectacled male outside the campus library, the muscles of his cheeks growing soar from smiling whilst you try to hide your own. 

he was in trouble and he knew it.

KUROO TETSUROU

kuroo tetsurou runs through the busy streets muttering every curse word there is to exist, with kenma nagging at him on the other end of the phone. it wasn’t everyday that he was late, however, he just so happened to be late on the very day he had a very important job interview.

he loves wearing jewelry; necklaces and rings are a must. he prefers chunky (thick) silver over dainty pieces

enjoys photography- he even has his own camera

loves surprising you on dates. on your 6th month anniversary, he got you a charm bracelet. there were already a few there, but there was plenty of room for more to be added. everytime you’d go a special date, he would add a charm for to remember it

furthermore, he takes a picture before each outing and saves them to a folder in his phone. once he’s reached a couple year’s worth of photos, he prints them out and puts them into a journal, writing down small details of what happened on each date 🥲 i am love starved

likes scary movies and especially enjoys teasing others when they get scared. definitely finds them silly (especially 80s and 90s slasher films)

kiyoomi has a big, hooked nose that sticks out far from his side profile. he broke it a few times playing volleyball, and it sits crookedly on his “otherwise perfect” face. he’s never liked it, often wishing he could put it back to how it once was, but with the way you kiss the bridge of it and remind him of how handsome you think he is just as he is, he thinks he can bear the imperfection.
