'the Fog' 2
“Get his ass” Is so unreasonably funny to me. A huge win for the English language. Today’s version of “seize him” imo
Loft talk Pt. There's only one bed 🐦⬛🎨
Sylus, in Rafayel’s bed: Morning… how’d ya sleep last night?
Rafayel, knocking Sylus off: WHAT THE HELL?!
Sylus: Ow—
Rafayel: What were you doing in my bed? You were supposed to sleep on the air mattress on the floor!
Sylus: I had a nightmare.
Rafayel: You had a nightmare? What are you, five years old?
Sylus: Listen, I needed to feel comfortable and I was getting this perverse power dynamic vibe from me sleeping on the floor and you sleeping up there-
Rafayel, in a royal accent: Why yes, how high and mighty I am up on my twin XL!
Sylus: That is not what I meant—
Rafayel: Silence in the presence of your king, who sleeps a lofty twelve and a half inches above the ground!
Sylus: Listen, I’m not ashamed. I slept comfortably when I got up on your bed and I’m sure you did too.
Rafayel: Yeah, okay-
Sylus: You know what? I wanna know. How’d you sleep last night?
Rafayel: …That was the best I’ve slept in a while.
Sylus, gasping: The king slept comfortably with a peasant in his bed!
Rafayel: I did not consent to this-
Sylus, dramatically: But my liege, our love is forbidden!
Rafayel, on the phone: Hi, is this the front desk? Yeah, there’s a bed bug in my room and he’s six-foot-two, he’s got white hair.
I was told we were all going to see it.. I don't know how much would be revealed
Just watched a spider try and fail to spin a centipede. Best wishes girl

The enemy of my enemy?? Wow
Got reminded again of my old coworker who was a massive misogynist but also trans inclusive. Told me he believed trans women are indeed women because "only women would be stupid enough to want to be women"
I wonder what he's doing now
I want to tell a story to the artists and would-be artists out there.
When I was 19, I made a large oil painting of the nerd I would eventually marry. I poured all my attention and care into this painting. It's the only art I have from back then that still holds up as a work I'm proud of today.
I entered it into a judged show at the local art center. It got an honorable mention. I went to see the show with my beloved model. One of the judges came up to talk to me, and highlighted that all the judges really liked the painting. It would have placed, except, you see, the feet were incorrect. They were too wide and short, and if I just studied a bit more anatomy-
I called over my future wife, and asked her to take off her shoe. Being already very used to humoring me, she did. The judge looked at her very short, very wide little foot. Exactly as I'd lovingly rendered it. I would never edit her appearance in any way.
The judge looked me in the eye, and to his credit, he really looked like he meant it when he said "Oh I'm so sorry."
Anyways the moral of the story is that all of those anatomy books that teach you proportions are either showing you averages, or a very specific idea of an idealized body. Actual bodies are much more varied than that.
So don't forget to draw from observation, and remember that humans aren't mass produced mannequins. Delight in our variation. Because it's supposed to be there.
