fun fact: wound fucking isn't specific to niche fanfics on the internet! crash (1996) has a scene where a man fucks a gaping bloody cut in a woman's leg and the movie won a prize at cannes :)
You know, I of all people ought to know that, for every subject in the world, there is at least one person who's a goddam nerd about it. And yet, somehow the fact that someone knows the history of wound-fucking in pop culture off the top of their head is....
Shit, I don't know. There's a lot of world out there.

The AO3 Tag of the Day is: Reblog if you are a demon, support demons, or are just trauma walking around in a trenchcoat
Shout out to all your internet friends who are gone.
Those messenger screen names that haven’t logged on in ages, some before detailed profiles were a thing on those services.
Those emails that are long since abandoned, some with domains that no longer exist.
Those online friends you knew years ago and who then helped shaped you in some way, who you just can’t FIND anymore.
Those people who once were, and hopefully still exist IRL, that seem to have no known internet life anymore.
And those who have actually passed on, and their online lives are now a memorial to them.
I miss you all. I hope life is/was kind to you, and maybe one day, we’ll somehow connect again.

The AO3 Tag of the Day Is: The wisest advice comes from experience
Thats ral and tomik
Fanfic so funny because if you read enough of it, eventually you have a hard time differentiating between what’s canon and whats fanfic.
Like what you mean they didn’t kiss and fuck freaky as hell in canon.
that’s enough emotions for a whole year. ciao
FYI, I have also locked all my fanfics down to registered users only because of the AI scraping on AO3. I'm one of many fan creators doing this right now and I know it stinks for users without an AO3 account, but it's the only option writers have available to us at the moment to stop our work from being scraped and stolen.
If this makes you mad, the Federal Register is currently open to comments on AI accountability until June 12th, 2023.
It only takes a second to leave a comment to ask for legislation that works used in AI creations or training MUST secure the express consent of the original creator before they can be used. If we can get protections for artists, writers, musicians and everyone who creates that their work cannot be used in AI without their permission, we can go back to making fanworks freely available without fear of them being misused. Until then, we're stuck playing defense until the courts catch up.
(If you're a fan creator looking to do this as well, AO3 has a tool to let you do all your fics at the same time in seconds. On your dashboard, go to Edit Works and you'll be able to change the status on everything at once.)
If you missed the context, AO3 recently found that the archive was scraped for use in AI services like ChatGPT and Sudowrite. While they put in protections in December 2022 to try to stop it from happening in the future, it's not foolproof and there is nothing they can do about works already swiped prior to that date. The archive is recommending fan creators restrict their works to registered users only to prevent against additional large scale scraping in the future.
So, I work from home for Keurig. Someone in Gotham set up an account years ago under the name Red Robin. I figured they were trolling us.... And then they regularly place $500 orders.... With Bruce Wayne's credit card. I actually talked to him once. Fell asleep halfway through and someone picked up the phone, apologized and hung up... Think it was either Nightwing or Batman. All I know is that they placed an order for a brewer and 8 boxes of pods to come to my apartment.

I will never fully understand why things happen the way they do on this planet. Too many people hold their tongue here. Too many people hide their feelings. And at the end of the day, that does nothing but hurt someone. The men and women of Tamaran were always taught to live by their emotions. To trust their first reaction, as it is the most true. Cyborg argues that you need time to make the proper decision. I argue that time blurs the true intent.
To Earth standards, I may appear brash and rushed. I never hide what I think. Perhaps that is why Tamaran was a target for so many invasions. Our captors may have enjoyed seeing what pain they inflicted upon us. For our tears are never hidden either.
This garden is all I have left to remind me of Tamaran. The Hy'tt Blossoms. The Rutt Trees. One of Earth’s customs for the warriors 2called the samurai is to learn patience and understanding from your garden. I hope that is what this teaches me. It would be nice to understand the concept of patience. It would be nice to fit in a bit more with these new Teen Titans.
