Recently, a couple of my writer friends have been receiving unwarranted rudeness & hate, so I feel that there’s something that needs to be said:

READ THE PRE-WARNINGS—many sensitive issues are either forewarned before their fics or put under the cut, and it is the reader’s responsibility to check them 1st before proceeding. If you read something that you know will disturb you; that’s just on you at that point

If you have an issue with the content they put out, just civilly let them know that there was something you were uncomfortable with through a private message & the issue can be resolved. Don’t be a coward & hide behind an anon telling them to ‘kill themselves,’ that they’re ‘disgusting trash,’ or being passive-aggressively sarcastic at insulting them. You are not being cute, pitiful, or sassy doing those things: It’s rude and bottomline unnecessary.

If you really have an issue with their content or them as a person that can’t be reconciled, either filter tags or content/unfollow/block/mute them & just move on with your day. Remember, you DON’T have to see their content if you don’t want to, and there is no harm in just ignoring what you don’t like, since most of what writers here write requests after all.

Content creators are human, just like you, with a life and feelings of their own. Do you not think that throwing un-constructive criticism and hate affects their day? Just bc you might be feeling bad, doesn’t mean you have to bring others down too or start drama. Again, it doesn’t hurt just ignoring a few things they put out that you’re uncomfortable with, and maybe dropping some positivity once if they do something nice for you, bc YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT A PERSON MIGHT BE GOING THROUGH/WENT THROUGH when you send that negativity. You are not the only sufferer in the world

Writing and art is supposed to be fun. Sometimes it’s someone’s way of expressing themselves, de-stressing, or coping. If you wouldn’t want someone to spoil your favorite meal with poison, don’t do it for others.
