Funny story (not really a story or funny but whateves) at my house ever since I was a small child we have never celebrated valentines day with a boyfriend or girlfriend until around six years ago because my siblings boyfriends birthday is on valentines day. We buy or make gifts for each other and make them look all pretty and give them to each other on valentines day. We like to also include friends in this sometimes and in eighth grade I bought a dress a whole bouquet of orange roses chocolate strawberries and a couple stuffies and gave them all to my best friend and we had a whole day of fun! I like my tradition a lot because we include friends family and lovers. To us valentines is a day for relationships and love, that includes all types of relationships and all types of love.

if i see anyone posting about being “forever alone” on valentines day they’re getting instantly blocked. i don’t want to hear it from alloromantics again this year

So like fun fact I was not born in the 90's but I grew up on all of these. My family didn't really have a lot of money (still don't) so we couldn't get new cool things, but honestly looking back on my early 90's type environment I grew up in, I'm really happy how I got to grow up. Even if sometimes I was teased for having a gameboy and not a DS or playing ps2 and Nintendo 64 instead of new consoles. Or for having really old hand-me-downs from the 90's. I love being one of the few kids my age to be able to name a song all the way back from the 50's on up. I adore the fashion that I later grew to love. And most of all I love all the cartoons it shaped my love for art and animation. I love being raised with a 90's childhood and I don't think I'd ever change it.❤

Yusuke is pretty and probably attracts a lot of "he's super pretty but he's so weird! Whatever I can fix it when he's my bf" type of people. Its not uncommon for shallow people to try and change the ones they find "aesthetically pleasing on the eyes but can't hold a single conversation with them cause their weird" type of people just cause they don't like their personality but they still want the super hot/pretty person just to show off like a trophy. Long and short of it all is Yusuke probably gets ignored by his peers and has no school friends because he's a bit weird but they still think he's pretty and want to date him they just don't like him as a person.

So in the mementos dialogue Yusuke says that everyone at his school avoids him.

Yet on Valentine's day he apparently got chocolates.

There are both the good and the bad; stop conveniently denying certain facts to forward your own biased, baseless opinions. Okay but on some serious shit for those in the lgbtqia+ community or an ally of the community that are out here pushing people out of the closet because it's your belief that everyone should be out and proud, while yes I understand people should be proud to be themselves and love who they are with no restraints it also is not up to you. If someone is not comfortable or safe to come out you should comfort them and stay by them till they are strong enough to let that side out, not push them into a situation were they can fall into a depressive state or even receive physical, emotional, or mental harm. By forcing someone out of the closet you could be putting them in harms way so please if you have a friend or family member that is lgbtqia+ please wait for them to come out at their own time and reassure them you'll be here for every step of the way.
