Life lesson learned: Avoid drawing Sweetheartās couch at all costs š
I love them so much istg
Lobes your story btw, I really like the idea and the execution so far has been pretty well done. Sorrs, I didnāt know where I could tell you this so this was my resort lmao (I really, really love it so far, and I honestly just felt like you needed to know that tbh)
Tysm!!! That means a lot to me; itās my first fanfiction where Iāve gotten this far! :D
okay i know i have a serious problem with coming up with au ideas then doing nothing with them, but i swear this one is still a cool idea that i might actually do something more with in the future.
with that being said, here's my idea for an undead monster au!
the concept takes place after the neutral ending. a month after basil and sunny take their own lives, aubrey ends up taking her own as well. after that, kel isn't far behind.
hero, now the last of the six remaining, ends up being pushed past his breaking point after kel's death, and just ever so slightly loses it due to overwhelming guilt and regret. he proceeds to spend the next fifteen or so years continuing his medical studies whilst also delving way too deep into ancient rituals and rumors of dark magic, all to find out how to bring everyone back and correct what he sees as his egregious, unforgivable mistakes. and eventually, he's successful! much to the dismay of the newly revived!
- sunny is brought back as a ghoulish zombie, missing a good number of his organs due to an in-depth embalming process. he's unable to breath or speak, and has a hard time getting around due to general sluggishness.
- mari is brought back as an incorporeal ghost, due to being near completely decayed by the time hero started preserving their bodies. she's unable to physically interact with the physical world whatsoever.
- basil is brought back as a sorta steampunk cyborg zombie. with brass clashing with flesh and a ticking clock instead of a heart, he ends up dealing with a lot of chronic pain and stiffness.
- kel and aubrey's corpses were. both in really bad shape. aubrey had a natural burial, speeding up the decaying process, and kel had thrown himself into traffic. both bodies alone were near unusable. however, they did nearly fill in the missing pieces of the other... so hero decided the best course of action would be to bring them back by frankensteining them together with a few stray pieces from other corpses here and there. their minds and souls are only partially melded together as a result. while there may be moments they act as two people rather than one, any emotions or thoughts are shared across both sides, making the inevitable arguments very complicated... anyone who knows me well should not be surprised i included this fusion in this au as well.
booped so hard i accidentally unfollowed omc
LMAOOO XD
I had no idea what I was doing for this but hereās inktober day 20 TvT
B!tch I thought the kid was saying he was gay and therefore bad at math š
Okay so I know a lot of people argue that Basil dying a lot in Blackspace means Sunny hates Basil (I think that was what you were referring to by saying Basil was killed constantly? Sorry if I misinterpreted that TvT). HOWEVER, I actually think thereās a lot of evidence to support that it means he cares for Basil a lot, and can be interpreted as repressed (romantic and/or platonic). In Blackspace, you still play as Omori. Iād like to address the spider-room death first. Basil starts being swarmed and covered in spiders, and eventually cries out to Omori for help. Omori backs away from Basil, and Basil disappears as the spiders presumably consume him. Notably, Omori is the one in control here. In the game, we play as Sunny; anytime we lose control of the Omori character, it presumably means that Sunny also does not have conscious control over Omori. Another thing that might be worth mentioning, is that although Omori technically overcame his fear of spiders in headspace, this is no longer headspace. This bit is more up to speculative, but it can be interpreted that Omori was too scared to save Basil from the spiders because he himself was scared of them. In which case, this death could also be interpreted as Sunnyās own fear causing pain for the people he cares about, something that we see at other points in the game.
Another particular Basil death that might be worth addressing, is the one in the glitched Neighborās room, where the headspace friends turn on him, and he cries to Omori for help before Aubrey hits him with her bat. To me, this very much doesnāt read as Sunny wanting Basil to die. It feels a lot more like heās helpless to do anything- Because yet again, at that moment, we cannot control Omori anymore, and neither can Sunny. He doesnāt want Basil to die; he just feels powerless to do anything about it. Also, the many possibly interpretations of Aubrey being the one to unalive Basil here. I do think that Aubrey hitting him with her bat is likely a nod to the fact that sheās been bullying Basil in the real world. Even more fuel that Sunny feels helpless to save Basil from being hurt for Sunnyās own actions (Mariās death, scribbling out the photos). Another possible interpretation (and one that is, admittedly, a lot less likely), is that itās Sunnyās idolized crush, that heās held onto for so long, is trying push down and get rid of the crush he has on Basil. It could possibly be taken as a sign of repressed feelings for Basil, whether that be because he hasnāt accepted his bisexuality (or whatever your personal headcanon may be), or heās simply scared of letting go of his old crush.
Thereās a lot more Blackspace stuff I could go into, but this is really long already aaand Iām in class TvT
TLDR; Blackspace has a lot of evidence of š³ļøāšš»
every day the Branch Coral line about Sunny and Basil being tied together with a string of fate
like,,, soulmates? your honour? string of fate??? perhaps the,,, red string of fate?
it doesnāt even have to be romantic, it just feels like a soulmate thing! like Sunny and Basil are tied together after this single incident, they will always be intertwined after that day
they may not have been known it, but they are so heavily intertwined together that even Sunnyās subconscious picked up on it. even coping mechanism calls out how the two are connected.
itās like - sir, the mixed signals of killing Basil constantly but then essentially using soulmate theory? do you hate him or want to kiss him? (/j)
also, with that joke, i do actually ship Sunflower, and this line speaks to the hopeless romantic in me to some degree - because what do you mean Sunny thinks āa string of fateā ties them together? like itās super dark, but also kinda gay. just slightly.
anyways, the Branch Coral was super cool and i love the slight soulmate implications on Basil and Sunny even though itās super screwed up!
(also thereās the line - itās so minor but like dude-?! the sheer gayness of this is amazing /j)
I have no idea what I'm doing ever :3 She/They pronouns; nonbinary and pansexual (I'm a minor)
