Barred Owl

The sun was shining today for a change but the temperature was only 5℉ when I walked deep into the snow-covered woods to see an old friend. It was six years ago this week that I first discovered this Barred Owl on its winter roost in a tree cavity. Throughout the numerous visits over the years it has always been good to see it doing well.

no offense but the whole kissin kate barlow and “i can fix that” sam storyline from holes is quite frankly one of the most gripping and tragic in the history of cinema and i’m still not recovered from it

Delightful little embossed medallion thingy featuring an early 19th century-ish looking man in a cluttered kitchen. There are traces of glue on the back and I have no clue what it might have originally been glued to, but I’ve been using it as a pattern weight.
