listen to it here on YtMusic
"Bleed the Sky"
The sky bursts open,
not gently,
not softly,
but like a body breaking,
like something holding on for too long
finally letting go.
The first drop hits—
hot asphalt hisses,
dust rises like ghosts startled awake,
and the earth opens her mouth
like she’s starving.
There’s no beauty here.
No poetry.
Just the raw writhing of water finding cracks,
finding hunger,
finding every place that aches or crumbles or waits.
The rain doesn’t ask permission.
It doesn’t care where it falls—
forest, rooftop, desert, skin.
It pounds against leaves as if to punish them
for turning their faces away,
fills the throats of rivers
until they choke on their own rushing,
slides down windowpanes like tears
too heavy to hold back.
And it keeps going.
There is no tenderness in this.
This is not about grace.
This is about gravity and surrender,
the weight of billions of tiny impacts
stripping the world bare.
And something in you loosens—
against your will,
unraveling in the rhythm,
in the relentless pounding that reminds you of your own breaking,
of the times you couldn’t stop falling.
You stand there,
letting it hit you,
letting it drench everything you thought was safe.
Maybe this is what healing feels like:
not silent, not soft,
not clean.
But messy.
Wet hands in the dirt,
skin soaked,
blurry vision as everything spills.
The rain knows.
It always knows.
It comes to destroy,
and in the destruction
it leaves something you didn’t know you were—
raw, gasping,
and growing.
IMAGINE being hungry enough to believe these were cookies
...
DEFINITELY not me
some more bunny magnets
Im sorry but I'm always dazzled by the use of color in this piece. The rendering on Cheshire's teeth is emaculate.
and oh my. that’s a thing. that happened.
(No fr we can do one in private messages)
I wish I had friends to play silly little games with (Fortnite, stardew valley, etc literally anything), and do fun things with over the internet.
Like I’d love to do a “hear me out” cake or cupcakes with someone even over just FaceTime or on the headset to giggle😭😭😭
Rebloghong because fish and now I gotta see this damn river
The "Dad of the Year" award goes to this flathead catfish on the Black River in North Carolina. A sudden drop in water level caused the fish to be stranded at the base of a rotting tree. I wondered why it didn't leave as the water receded-until I saw the pile of pink eggs by its tail. I realized the fish was trapped by staying to care for its offspring.
It's common for males to watch over eggs and defend them from potential predators-and, in some cases, even from the mother. Of all the things I've seen in swamps, this was one of the most striking examples of survival.
Cypress swamps are difficult places to thrive. Seasonal fluctuations of water shape these ecosystems and the residents that call them home. Although I didn't stick around to see what happened to this father, I was encouraged to see that the water levels did come up just a few days later.
Me: “I don’t have bad sensory issues”
Also me: “I can’t listen to what this person is saying because my socks’ toe seams are misaligned inside my shoe pressing on my nails, these socks are also strangling my ankles and I might realistically die from it”
I understand the feeling of it coming back to autism all too much
Like, yeah Scar was an absolute baddie and ate up the girls everytime he skulked into a room
BUT ZIRA????
babe, -u-,,,, (ngl everyone from LK1 aged up like fine wine (not Timone, Pumba or Zazu im sorry))
YALLL
Zira has:
Claws sharp enough to cut a bitch
Eyeline and eyeshadow that was drawn by Athena (a petty ass bitch if memory serves me right)
Thin, black matriarch lips and an attitude reminiscent of an evil version of Harriet Tubman (I'm sorry to compare you to an animated lion queen)
Also her song was absolutely fire.
(ngl but I need the human version of Kovu <3<3<3)
Loser, 17, probably acoustic. Bunch of stuff that the lizard in my head screams out from time to time.
