Here's a sneak peek to episode #37 of Slices of Gremlin! I'll be posting the whole comic here next Tuesday! I'm moving to a bi-weekly schedule for the comic, but you can still read them a week early on Ko-Fi (this whole comic is already ready to read there). ππ
Awww, thank you for the tag and the hugs, @thecalvinistkatreblogs! You are so kind! <3 I send you hugs, too!! :)
I also send hugs to @toothpaste-dragon @hermenoodle @gollygeedash @kbthebearcat and @theladyheroine!!
There's no pressure at all to continue the chain!! : 3 Reblog only if you want to, and you have any mutuals that you'd like to send a virtual hug. <3
Hug time! Pass this around and hug whoever you think is an amazing mutual ππΉ
@emoscot @laismoura-art @scentedcandleibex and the person who sent this ask!
Here is March's design for the Gremlin's Penpal tier of my Ko-Fi! It's the gremlin as a mischievous little leprechaun with her pot of gold. π€ You can get this design by signing up to the tier anytime during the month of March! I have also decided to add January and February's stickers to my Ko-Fi store, but only active members of the Gremlin's Penpal tier can buy them! God bless!
An update of a very old (think 2012-2016 old π³) My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fan character! I used to draw her so much back in the day. I still really like her. In fact, I didn't actually change her design very much at all from the original -- I wanted to preserve it.
Shamrock Star is a (mad) scientist earth pony who studies magical plants and makes potions/elixirs out of them! Her speciality is finding four leaf clovers and harnessing their innate magic.
This is a good take. I love writing pining. I love writing romances where the two are absolutely devoted to each other in life and death and everything in between; even if they don't explicitly say it, and they have no hope of any sort of gain, you see them quietly and consistently working for each other's good behind the scenes for nothing but the sheer love of that person.
we think pining is romantic because fidelity is romantic. the reason it pulls at our heartstrings is less the idea of a longing that can never be satisfied and more the idea of someone being faithful to their love even when theyβre not getting anything from it
sometimes a theme recurs in your work without your permission. and sometimes it reaches a threshold where you're like. well now i think this is saying something about me against my will. don't know what though
I thought this little interaction was fun enough to immortalize! I hope that you enjoyed this week's installment of 'Slices of Gremlin'! I am going to continue updating every Tuesday, and if you would like to support the comic and get early access, you can sign up to be a member of the 'Little Creature Club' on Ko-Fi!
(just for the heck of it)
Character who starts out as an antagonist/villain and goes through a redemption arc
^ The above, but after they are redeemed, they still struggle to integrate in with 'the good guys' and have a long road of earning the trust of others
Homunculus/artificially created being who is misunderstood by others/longs to understand humanity
^ Especially when they are good but were created by someone evil
As an alternative take, a homunculus/artificially created being who was made by someone very good and struggles to live up to their creator's light
A very hard to get along with/seemingly jerk-y character who is actually extremely loving and sensitive deep down, and it shows around the people they trust
Siblings who are mirrors of the other (what they might be, could have been, and wish they were), who understand each other more deeply than anyone else but struggle to reconcile themselves to one another
Villains/antagonists who give the hero a terrible time but are actually really kind and considerate to their own associates (has a found family with all of their henchmen, has really good healthcare benefits and perks for their workers, is able to upkeep positive relationships and is actually respected)
"oh sorry, i guess i was infodumping again" - sad, shy, apologetic
"you sly dog, you got me monologuing" - cool, strong, confident
Little guys π₯Ί
some friendly wooly trolls
it's a shame you can't Cool, Silent, and Mysterious your way to being very close to people. we are unfortunately going to have to embarrass ourselves for this
